Food of any kind, American dog biscuits, Chewdles.
Pet-Peeves:
German Shepherd dogs, well any dogs really with one exception, her friend Jodie another Jack Russell.
Favorite Toy:
Maurice, a fluffy Mallard duck, red Cat and purple Dog.
Favorite Food:
Ruby doesn't have a favourite food, just any food, although she prefers 'people food' to doggie food.
Favorite Walk:
Any place that there are plenty of smells, she prefers grass to hard surfaces.
Best Tricks:
Sits (almost) and waves her paws for a treat. She thinks tricks are a little undignified for a lady of her standing.
Arrival Story:
Ruby was found abandoned by the RSPCA and her picture was shown in the local newspaper. We saw her and hurried to the Centre to see if we could adopt her. Luckily for us we were able to have her. She was originally named Sandy but as we have a family member with the same name we renamed her Ruby and it really suits her.
Bio:
Ruby isn't really fond of other dogs but she adores people, specially toddlers, which makes us think that she must have lived with children in her former life. She has the waggiest tail you will ever see. The only time it is still is when she is sleeping.
Ruby also has a very strong dislike for cats and when she is out walking she searches under all parked cars looking for them. If she encounters a cat she makes an unholy noise and pulls like a train trying to get at it. However, if a cat stands it's ground she is totally dumbfounded and doesn't know what to do. Then she walks away as if to say "I didn't really want to catch you anyway, I have more important things to do.

The heartbreak has come, Ruby has gone.
She passed away 4th April 2009 after a short illness.
Our life won't be the same without her, we will love her forever.
This the first and last entry in her diary.
