Doggie Dynamics:

Sun Sign:
Quick Bio:

February 4th 1998

I like to sleep, eat.... did I mention sleep and eat?

I don't like to be left alone or I will eat through a door or a wall. And, thunderstorms make me crazy!

Favorite Toy:
I love to carry around my stuffed toys. They are my babies!

Favorite Food:
Food? Any kind is fine with me.

Favorite Walk:
I really don't like to walk that much anymore since I have bad arthritis but I do love to go swimming especially at the farm!

Best Tricks:
I can roll over, speak, shake a paw, high five, and high tail around the house when I feel like it.... but lately I'm just too tired for that.

Arrival Story:
I don't actually live with Boomer and Dottie. I belong to their owner's mom so I guess you could say I'm their uncle. I was born in 1998 and I made my way home with the family. They didn't know that there was a litter of yellow pups in the neighborhood, but they found me! I was the runt! Can you believe that? I'm such a big guy now! I grew up there being an only dog so when I have to go and stay with Boomer and Dottie I get really nervous! But, it's fun to play with my family.

If I don't eat dinner on time I will throw up on the carpet. Never on the tile.... the carpet is the best.

Forums Motto:
I'm an old dog.

Sad day...

Friday July 15, 2011 Duke crossed over the rainbow bridge.

For sometime now he'd been taking pain medication to help with the arthritis in his hips but it stopped working. He was in too much pain. We couldn't ask him to carry on like that. Our family is very sad but we know he led a good long and spoiled life. Boomer, Dottie, John and I will miss him terribly but we know our Uncle Duke/Duker/Honey Bear is at rest and no longer in pain.

Good night sweet prince, may flights of angels sing you to your rest...

Mommy's my Valentine!

You know I'm a spoiled boy. I always have been and I always will. And, sometimes I don't make it easy for my Mommy b/c I'm a little crazy...seriously I am. I have separation anxiety, I barf if I don't get dinner on time, I don't mind worth a damn if I don't feel like it, I'm getting old and have arthritis so I don't do the tricks I used to be able to do, believe me the list can go on. Well.... this year I'm going to try really hard to be a good boy for Mommy b/c she's so special to me. She always takes care of me and if she can't she finds someone who can, which is why I end up w/ Boomer and Dottie half the time, which I can't complain about since they have such a huge backyard. I love to sniff! Anyway.... I decided Mommy is my Valentine, always has been and always will. I love her and I'm going to try really hard this Wednesday to be a good boy for her and give her lots of extra loves. She's deserves it!

Dear Sweet Little Bit

My heart is breaking right now. If there was one pup that has touched my life it's been Little Bit. She's been the model pup. Courageous and brave she faced her lymphoma w/ grace. Right up to the end. I must say that we didn't know each other that well and it seems like we had just met but we bonded over our mutual love of ice cream from Diary Queen and food. Lots and lots of food.

I know that she has passed on and it breaks my heart that she's not here to talk to and send treats back and forth. But, deep down I know she is in a better place and is happy and healthy and watching down on us all from the Rainbow Bridge.

Please don't forget us Little Bit, one day we will meet again and I would love to take you out for a dish of cream. We can call it a date to Diary Queen.

Rest in peace sweet little angel. You've touched us all.
