Giving paw, sitting, stay, chasing the ball and not bringing it back, speaking

Arrival Story:
It was about a month after my Beloved Sati had passed and I just couldn't come home another day to a empty house. I started calling rescues and got in touch with a wonderful woman Nancy at East Bay Animal Referral. I wanted a pit and she had two. She sent me a picture of Rosie and told me she had been found running the streets of Richmond. I said I would foster her for a month to see how it worked out. Well you know she never left. She helped me through my grief with all of her sillyness and the most beautiful spirit. I am so glad I got to spend nine loving, fun filled years with you. I miss you Rosie girl!

Even though Rosie was never a very affectionate dog, she was a very sweet girl and a constant companion. She did not like other dogs. A total Alpha Female. We had to ajust our lives to accomodate her so she didn't get in trouble. Pits have to be protected. We had great times together regardless. She loved car rides and she went almost everywhere with me. When we moved to Austin, Tx. it was a little hard on her (the heat) she wouldn't admit it. We started going to the many lakes, creeks, and rivers. Rosie was an avid swimmer. One time she swam after some ducks and I couldn't get her back. Around and around the pond she followed until fed up with their pursuer they guided her to me. I had never seen anything like that before. She loved hanging out in the backyard, first sunbathing then swimming. She would do this all day. She would climb the cliffs at Big Sur like nobody's business and loved chasing the waves at Mendocino. Now that you are at The Rainbow Bridge your sisters are there waiting for you. So be nice to them and don't be a bully Babygirl!
