Arrival Story:
One of my co-workers found the dog and brought her in to the kennel where I work. This puppy looked just like my dog Nadja! My supervisor convinced me that I should bring her home for the night, and she never left. Ha ha. Cause we're suckers for a fuzzy face. Since I never met her parents or breeder, I have no idea what kind of mix she might be. I'm sure she's part GSD, but she's just a little thing. I don't know what she's mixed with, but boxer is as good a guess as any.

Bio:
Tuni is still growing, so I don't know what she's going to look like when she's full grown or what her personality is going to be like. Right now, she's a typical puppy -- full of energy and love and determined to explore the world by chewing on it, one piece at a time. I think she's got a great sense of humor, too. She likes to "talk" to people by walking up and making "grrrooooooooooo!!!!" sounds at them. She's so sweet.

We've been sick this past week, and haven't been able to do much work with Tuni. She hasn't been going out for walks or drives, and although I usually take her with me to work, I haven't been in work, so she's been stuck in the house with a pair of grumpy sick people on medications. She is bored out of her mind, and she's been misbehaving so badly! If she's not chewing on shoes, she's throwing newspapers around or chasing cats or wrestling with Polly or pestering Nonny or peeing on the floor or making havoc in a dozen other ways I've blessedly managed to block out of my mind.

On the plus side, the Man-Beast taught her "down," and she's getting pretty good, considering that she learned it yesterday. She does pick things up very quickly, which makes me feel even worse for neglecting her training all week long.

But when you tell her to down, she goes, "GRRROOOOOOO," and then does it, as if to say, "What? But I want that toy! Come on, gimme! Okaaaaaay, fine. NOW can I have it?"

I like this backtalking! It makes me laugh!
