Arrival Story:
We bought Monty from a breeder out of town, and the weekend that we were to receive him we were away camping, so a friend brought him to us. In all, he drove for about 4 hours that day, so he was pretty happy to meet us!
Bio:
If you have never met a Standard Schnauzer, you should use caution when entering my house. You *will* be jumped on.
Monty is very excitable. In fact, he is a big baby. He is over two years old, yet he acts like a little puppy most of the time. He sulks when we are away, and follows us around the house when we get home. He likes to rest his chin on our bed, or lap, or couch, and look up at us until he thinks it is safe. Then he will jump up and try to snuggle in.
It is most dangerous to let Monty outside to get a little wet - when you let him in he will buzz around the house like a machine, running around the living room in circles.
Whenever we have company, he will select the person that likes dogs the least, and he will proceed to suck up to them for the rest of the evening. Once he has managed to win one of these people over, he will quietly walk up and put his chin on their lap and look up at them with his big brown eyes peeping through his eyebrows.
