Bio:
I had to put Cubby down in January of this year (2004). It was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. He had lived many years and the last several months just weren't enjoyable for him. In fact life was getting pretty miserable. We used to call him the "never ending Cubby" because it seemed like he was going to live on and on. It wasn't until last fall when I seriously realized that he probably was not going to make it through the winter. I put it off for a while because I did not want to admit it, but eventually I knew it was time. I still find it hard to think of him. I miss him

It's been a whole year since I had to make that hard decision to say good-bye to Cubby. I still miss him very much, but I know that he is no longer suffering and we enjoyed many good years together!

I will never forget when before I knew it was him who used to take the shell out of my house plant and put it in the middle of the dining room floor. I would walk by and find it sitting there and wonder what was going on thinking my daughter was trying to drive me crazy. I'd shrug and put it back. On my way back through I'd find it there again. One day I finally caught the Cubster in the act and when he seen he was busted he dropped the shell and scooted into the living room thinking he was in big trouble. I did not have the heart to scold him. Afterall, it was just a shell and it was rather funny. He never seemed to do anything like chew on it, he would just drop it on the floor and take off.
