Arrival Story: We fell in love with the personality and physicality of Maxwell, our Aussie mix. After months of thought, we decided to bring home a companion for him, in the form and shape of a black tri Aussie Maribelle. She is super smart and extremely easy to train. She is an absolute doll. Bio: I have a big brother named Maxwell. He is so big and soft and cuddly. I particularly like to run and tackle him when he is sleeping. It's also fun to tug on his dog collar, pull on his ears, chew on his feet, nip at his mouth, and steal his treats from his mouth. Oh, and I luv getting muddy and dirty! My incision area has closed! Back where I once had medical glue is now sealed and pink skin!! Amazing! It's amazing how the body heals itself. Daddy says that because I'm a puppy, my tissue growth and reconstruction is much faster than your typical adult dog. My parents have let me run around with Maxwell in the yard, but they still don't let me go all out. They stop us if me and Maxwell start to wrestle. Also, they won't leave me in the backyard unsupervised with Maxwell. So unfortunately, I think I'm stuck in the crate when Mommy and Daddy aren't around. I think I heard Mommy and Daddy say that I can be unsupervised in the yard next Tuesday, 12 days post spay surgery. I'm soooo looking forward to it. Wanna play?
Well I seem back to normal now, even though I have a 2 inch incision on my belly from my spay. My Daddy has a special song that makes me dance and wiggle. Everyone keeps telling Mommy and Daddy that I need to stay inside, lay low and not run. I guess I like to push the envelope because today, I showed Mommy and Daddy that I'm perfectly capable of running and jumping on (and off) the bed. Ieven fell off the bed once, much to Mommy's horror. Also, during a potty break outside, I managed to start a game of chase with Maxwell. Mommy and Daddy tried to break it up, but we were too fast! I kept hearing mommy say, "Oh no, her stitches!" Mommy and Daddy have been checking my incision area everytime I come back from a potty break. So far so good. Can't wait til I'm fully recovered and neither can my parents.
Well it's official - I'm a big girl now! Yesterday was my first day at the dog park with my big brother. I played with a weimerwaner, lab/bordercollie mix, and a bison/ridgeback mix! My parents called me fearless b/c I loved to run with the dog pack and I even tried to herd the weimer. All the dogs were very nice to me and their humans called me "adorable."
Today was my second day at the dog park. I was having a great time when these 2 mean poodles came in and started barking at me and my big brother. It seemed to get worse after the poodles' owner started screaming and hitting them. The boy poodle chased after me and was about to attack me but Mommy and Daddy stopped him in time. His owner was apologetic and we were secretly glad to see them leave soon afterwards. Then, our neighbors Sugar and Kita came. My big brother really loves to play with Kita and I liked to chase Sugar, who runs after balls like she's on dynamite! So much fun!
