Arrival Story:
On Fourth of July, we wanted to go camping. Unfortunately, all of the local campsites were full. We finally found an open camp site about 2 hours north of where we live. When we arrived, we noticed a puppy chasing little kids on bikes. Later, we saw him chasing a different set of children. We talked to some campers that had been there for a while and they told us that this puppy had been around for about a week--homeless. They continued to inform us that the park ranger was going to take him to the pound. We assumed that one of the families he had been playing with would take him in. That evening, this little puppy wonders up to our campsite just as we finished dinner. He grabbed a stick and ate it. We felt bad that this poor little creature had to result to eating bark and sticks. We fed him some leftover steak and gave him some water. We decided that we had to find a family for him. Somehow, he wondered away. We tried to find him, but he was nowhere to be found. The next morning we had given up our search. I went to take a shower and to my surprise was the puppy---sleeping in the shower. We decided it must be destiny--and he has been our MAX ever since.
