I'm Going On Holiday

I did not want this day to arrive so soon. Time has flown by. Tobey and I are going to our grandpawrent's this evening. We always have a blast at our grandpawrent's house but we will be staying there for 3 whole weeks! This is because my pawrents are going away and cannot take me with them. They are going to England to spend Christmas and New Years' with my mum's family. Dudes, I've looked into travelling to England and their quarantine rules are so wack and the journey so long, and there is no way my people would ever have me travel in cargo - that I'm better off staying with my grandpawrents. It's just gonna be so hard being away from my people for so long. I've already took a bunch of stuff over to my grandpawrent's and I have the rest of my stuff packed and ready. I took my pimped-out sled and some toys to play with. I have my Sponge-Bob case packed with some warm winter clothes for when I go out hiking in woods and playing in the snow, and I have my Afro Ken bag packed with my afro brush, toothbrush, toothpaste, Kongs, leash, harness, poo bags and other essentials. I will take some blankies and beds too. I like to feel at home. The only good thing about this whole situation is that I will get to celebrate 2 Christmases! I have pressies under the tree at my grandpawrent's house, and then when my people come home in the New Year, we will celebrate Christmas again together!
Now I'm going to catch up on as much cuddle time as I can with my mummy before she leaves me *sniff*

I entered the contest for fun and because the prize is like, totally rad dudes! -A $50 gift certificate to spend in a doggie boutique! Dudes, I can’t tell you how sweet that would be to win. I dig my home-made stuff, but it would be really cool to win something from a posh designer doggie boutique! It would be a pawfect Christmas gift! It is over on Facebook, which is weird seeing as I don’t do Facebook, but I got involved because I enjoy the Bark, Sniff, Drool doggie blog and it is they who are hosting the contest on their Facebook page. Winter Has Arrived

It snowed! Not a lot, but it's beginning to look more like Christmas. It has got very cold too. I went out earlier and I didn't wear my boots, so I had to be carried because my paws got too cold. I will have to dig out my winter woolies, boots, scarves, leg warmers, and every thing else I can think of to get me through another northern Minnesotan winter. Cos dudes- it's freezing brass monkeys out there -whatever that means. Winter has finally arrived. Stay warm, pals! ArrooOo!

The Search For Snow

First of all I want to bark out my reply to all my pals who are behaving instead of raving this weekend: "Dudes, yous are WEAK!" BOL!

It is December already and I don't know where all the snow is, so I went out on a quest to find it. I went deep into the woods; where the wild things are, and I climbed up a hill so high that I could see the tops of all the trees looking out over Lake Superior. I looked every where for snow, but I only found a sprinkling of the white stuff on the ground. Where is it all? Usually this time of year, I am up to my 'fro in the stuff!

Lead in Toys! Dudes, that's heavy

After reading This article, I became very concerned because I have a huge mountain of toys and now I am scared that they contain lead. I love my plush squeeky toys, but you know, I also enjoy playing with my plush toys that were designed for two-legged children, - such as my Shrek, my Spiderman, my giant Ikea snake, my brown puppy and my pink puppy. I am seriously considering throwing out all my toys that have been made for dogs, and stick to plush toys designed for babies and children because I know they are safe. I like squeekies so I was thinking my mum could buy a bunch from a craft store and sew them in the toys safely for me. What do my pals think of this?

I just added a fun little video to my page. It is by "The Animated All Star Band" to raise money for Children in Need. There are more than 100 characters from childrens t.v through the ages. How many famous faces can you spot? I just love Paddington Bear rocking out. I even saw the Wombles! One of my nicknames is "Womble" BOL! Fifi's Bollywood dance is adorable too.

Agility makes me jump for joy

'Sup, dogs? I just put up a new photo of me jumping for joy because I got a jump hurdle that my dad built for me. My mum painted it to match my bedroom furniture; white with black paw prints. I hope to one day have a whole agility course to play with!

My 6th Birthday!

Thank you to my pals who have wished me a happy birthday! Rocky and Autumn, thank you so much for the party hat. I'm all about the party hat as you can see in my new photo of me celebrating my birthday with my toys. :-)
It has been a very quiet birthday this year. I usually go to Petco's howl-oween pawty as part of my birthday celebrations and I get to dress up and take part in the costume contest and best of all- I get to pick out a present, but that was yesterday and my people had their own party to go to instead. Also, I usually celebrate my birthday by going to my favourite place, but it has not stopped raining all day so we have stayed indoors watching football instead :-(
My people have promised to make it up to me next weekend.
Anyway, I am still having a PAWSOME day! I got presents! The present off my dad that I hinted about earlier is my fave! He made me a hurdle jump, and I also got a tunnel. This is the beginning of my agility course that dad is making for me to play with at home. I have been having fun playing with it in the house, but I wish it would stop raining so I could play outside. I also got a couple of soft toys, and Tobey got me a sign for my bedroom that says "Rock Star" on it! Thanks, bro!
I also did very well with treats today. Right now, there is a party in my tummy

Dudes... I'm sooo late on halloween this year. My people have been too busy with their own costumes. I really hope I can whip something up in time, or I'm afraid I'll get no treats this year.

Thank You Charlie for the gift of Plus!

Wow, dudes! Dogster dogs are just the best. I seriously am just gobsmacked by the kindness of my pal Charlie for surprising me with Plus! I cannot believe it. I so, very very much appreciate this kind gift. Thank you, Charlie and Charlie's mom! Wow, just wow. I woof you!
I am so very excited to be back on Plus. Now I have to twiddle with my page a wee bit and get it back to how it was, but it is lovely to have my photo album back with my captions and frames. I plan on making the most of my lovely gift of Plus and so tomorrow I shall get my people together for a photoshoot. Then I can put up some new photos as well as the Afro Ken cartoons and other goodies too.

Happy Halloween to all the little monsters out there!

Happy Halloween to all the little monsters out there! I decided to decorate my page a wee bit, but I have cheated and put up an old photo of my me in my horse costume from 3 Halloweens ago. I haven't got my costume for this year yet. Mum needs to get on it. She has just finished sewing her costume, which turned out to be an epic project, and dad is working on his too. -But what about me, dudes?

I no longer have Plus, and what I will really miss is being able to show off my photos and have a bunch of biofields to decorate my page with Afro Ken cartoon videos and stuff. -Well, I think I've figured out what to do... I have been able to keep my frame with my background, but I no longer have the animated bar on top. I no longer have all the bio fields to put Afro Ken cartoons from YouTube, but I have managed to fit in one fun Afro Ken cartoon but it kind of covers some of my Dogster details like 'rosettes given' and stuff.
I made a slideshow of 100 photos, many of which were in my Plus photo album and I was able to squeeze that onto my page, which I'm very happy about. This is so that I can continue to upload new photos on my Dogster page. I am bummed that I will have to delete all-but 10 photos from Dogster, which is sad when I have comments on some that would be nice to keep :-(
I know it's all bit squashed and it's rubbish that some of the details on my page have been covered up. If there are any Dogsters that know how to tidy that up, then please bark my way as I would really appreciate any help, otherwise -this is how I roll and I hope you still dig my page.
-Or I could try and win the Plus membership in the Worlds Coolest contest. but I haven't figured out what photos I want to submit, and I haven't got the time or energy to campaign for votes, but I might give it a shot all the same. It is a fun contest.

No More Photos :-(

My Plus account has run out, and for the first time I haven't re-newed it. I didn't miss it much until today when I tried to upload a new Howloween photo. I still have all my photos in the Dogster system and even though you can't view my photo album anymore, you are still able to see all my photos if you click on my diary. I don't want to go ahead and delete all but 9 photos so I can upload this one Halloween photo incase I decide to get Plus again at a later date.

An Early Birthday Pressie

It's not my birthday until the 25th October, but I was given a present yesterday! I'm very excited about it, but I am not going to bark what it is until my birthday. I will give you some clues, and you can try and guess what it could be:
1) My dad built it.
2) It is used by dogs, and even horses use big ones.
3) I can play with it by itself, but I hope my dad builds me other things to add to it.
4) I can play with it indoors or out. It will eventually be for outdoor play only, especially when I get more to play with (see #3)
5) Some dogs get very competitive with theirs!
O.K. those are enough guesses for now! Know what my new present is yet?

New Video: "Dirty Ken"

I'll tell you the story behind this video:
As I barked earlier; I got sprayed by a skunk. Well, first my dad poured mouthwash over the stinky areas. It showed up yellow and gooey against my white 'fro. Then, he bathed me twice. I still stank. So, then mum poured tomato sauce all over my 'fro and bathed me again. I still sorta stank. Then, we went up to the cabin and I decided to deal with my stinky 'fro my own way....

I have my suitcase packed and I'm all ready to go on my jolly holidays! I want my pawrents to hurry up because I cannot wait to get on the road!

It is another cloudy day. The weather has been a bit naff this summer so I haven't been out playing in the lakes like I have done in the past. I have been on a couple of boat rides, but I haven't done any doggy paddling, nor have I needed to cool off in the water hippo-style because it really hasn't been that hot. I don't even have my own pool out in my garden.
It has still been a fun summer though because my people bought a wee caravan and so we have gone away for some fun weekend trips. I have always loved camping, but this is much nicer than sleeping in a tent. Now I go "glamping" (=camping with glamour). I cannot wait for next week because we will be going on a big camping trip to the East coast. I have never been on such a great American road trip before and I look forward to the adventure. We will be staying at some pawsome places and I look forward to taking lots of photos and sharing them on my page.

Summer Fun

I'm having a pawsome summer but I've been a lame Dogster and haven't barked much in my diary lately. I just added some new pics to my page of me having fun. As you can see, I have been camping and bike riding and getting my 'fro dirty and having all kinds of good times. I'm a budding photographer so I've been sure to take lots of snap shots with my very own camera too.
Dudes, I need to make time to get on Dogster and visit pals' pages and sniff around and see what's up. Until then, -ArrooOO for now, and I hope every one is having a 'frotastic summer too!

Happy Spring!

I'm happy that spring is here. I have all kinds of fun activities planned for the coming months. I have been learning how to skateboard, and my pal Griffin is not wrong when he barked that he will expect to see me star in a skateboarding video. Dude, you know I'm all over it!
However, I have been working on something else in the meantime that is very important to me. I have been working very hard and I look forward to sharing the news with my Dogster pals soon.

My cat brother, Tobey is an indoor cat who only goes outside in his stroller because if he were to wander alone, then he might be in danger of roaming where he shouldn't, he could get hit by a car, or he could get attacked by wild animals, or a redneck might use him for target practice. So, my dad built an outdoor enclosure so that Tobey can be outside safely. He loves it! It's pimped out all cute, of course ;-) I like hanging out with Tobey in his new enclosure. We chase each other through tunnels and sunbathe together.

I got a new toy!

I've been having fun trying to learn how to ride my new skateboard. I enjoyed sledding so much this winter, that I thought I'd enjoy skateboarding too. I've been practicing really hard, but it's not as easy as it looks. It's a good job I have a helmet and knee pads to protect me :-)

Afro Ken: Television Star?

It is my cat brother, Tobey’s birthday today. I want to bark “HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BRO!”

OK So what am I barking about "Afro Ken: Television Star?" Hang on-I'll woof all about it... Dogster is so pawsome, and they are so good to me because they always think of me whenever there is an exciting opportunity….
I have been contacted to appear on actual T.V.!!
Yeah, but-........I barked “No thank you”:-(
OK- Here’s the scoop. There is going to be a documentary on The Learning Channel about pet owners who really pamper their pets. This sounded like a laugh.……until I found out they wanted to come here and film us for a WEEK!
And you just know they will have me up to all kinds of shenanigans and make my people look crazy (o.k. - crazier?) Dudes, I’d hate to see myself on The Soup being made fun of by Joel McHale just like he did to the totally pawsome cupcake dog, Stains!

Yeah, I’m pampered in that I have loads of cool stuff. My people like to make things for me: Mum has knitted and crocheted lots of sweaters, scarves, legwarmers, blankets, accessory bags for my leashes etc. Dad has built me a cool bed, a monster-riffic car seat, a house, and pimped out my sled for me, for examples. I also get to do fun stuff like sledding, running, swimming, exploring, visiting, partying, and I’m currently learning how to skateboard; but mostly I’m just a normal dog. That telly show will have us doing all kinds of silly stuff to show how obsessed my people are, when really I do stuff like chill on the sofa with my people watching T.V. like any other pup. Pretty boring, really. It’s not like I have a busy schedule, for example, agility lessons on Monday, Dog Scouts on Tuesday, Doggy Day care on Wednesday, etc.

Why can’t I get a pawsome opportunity like they want to fly us out to L.A. for a super-fab holiday and I get to go pawties and sniff some celebs, A-list doggy style, for example? Now that would be pawtastic!

Anyway, it was so nice of Dogster to think of me, and if any doggy reads this and fancies taking part in it then I believe the offer is still open.

New movie: "EXTREME SLEDDING with Afro Ken"

Hey pups! I just released my new movie, “EXTREME SLEDDING with Afro Ken”. It is an all-action extreme sports movie. I would have liked Warren Miller to direct it, but I had to make do with my mum and dad. It was a struggle-and-a-half getting my video to upload on Dogster, but we got there in the end. Hope you like it. I had so much fun making this movie. I love sledding! ArroooO!!

Pimp my Sled

I dig my sled even more now it has been tricked out with its very own igloo! I like to chill in the igloo when I go on long hikes and I get tired or a bit too cold after running through the snow. I jump on my sled and enjoy the ride. My people can use the sled to carry their stuff too. I've been having so much fun sledding this winter! ArrooOO!!

I Got A Sled!!

I'm so happy because my dad surprised me with a sled! My bud, Maximillian the Trixter made sledding look like so much fun that I was just itching to try it too. After hunting high and low, my daddy finally found a sled for me! And I just love it! You see, my people like to go for long hikes and I usually love, love, love it too. But during the winter when the ground is cold with snow and ice, I don't like to be out for too long. I do dress for the weather and my boots do help a bit, but nothing beats having a sled to pull me along through the cold snow. I went out with my people last weekend. Unfortunately, it has been too bitterly cold to go out since. Last weekend was great, though. My people had to put these big funny things called snow-shoes on their feet to get through the snow. I had fun bunny hopping through the snow for a bit, then I hopped on my sled for a ride and to warm up on my blanket, then I hopped off for another run and exploration through the trees, careful not to run too far ahead of my people as my mum worries about eagles, and wolves and all sorts of beasts that she thinks are lurking in the forest ready to pounce on me. It was a fun day, and I really enjoyed being pulled on the sled. I had my camera too, so I took some fun pictures! I'm getting better at my new hobby as a photographer. I've been without my 'Afro Ken' theme tune for a while now. I'm gutted about this, and I've sniffed around, but can't find the song anywhere. It is a Japanese song so it's not that common here.

Hopefully the weather will warm up this weekend so I can go sledding again. I'm having fun this winter trying out new winter sports. First ice-skating, now sledding. Who's the eXtreme one now, eh ,Tobey ?

New Movie! "sk8r boi (on ice)"

I have just put up my new video, sk8rboi (on ice). It is a film of me ice skating. I was a little hesitant at first, but now I can skate like an Olympic Gold medalist! London 2012, here I come!

Happy New Year!!

Hope all my pals enjoyed the first week of 2009. I've been having lots of fun in the snow and ice this year. I've been out snow-shoeing and I've even been out ice-skating! Watch this space because I've been making movies of me in action that I shall put on my page very soon. Barking of movies;-I'm absolutely gutted that YouTube has removed my Pampered Pup video. Obviously all my movies feature tunez that aren't mine, so I take this risk when I put them out there, but the pampered pup vid had been up for a good while now and I totally enjoyed all the comments that people had left. All that has been lost now, which is a shame. The song in question was George Clinton's 'Atomic Dog'. But you know it was only recently that YouTube contacted me because I was using Kanye West's 'Good Morning' in another vid -but instead of removing my vid, they put up buttons below it that link to iTunes and Amazon so you can buy the tune. I thought that was totally brilliant and wish George Clinton's company could have done the same. Never mind- there is always Dogster video, and the comments that my pals leave mean so much to me! Thanks pups!

I have also been busy playing with my Christmas present. I got a digital camera and I am enjoying my new hobby as a photographer. Yes I actually have a camera! For reals! It clips on my collar and works with a timer. I'm putting together an album of my best work. My style is abstract and I focus on unique angles. I also enjoy taking photos of legs.

After seeing how much fun my buddy,Maximillian the Trixter was having playing on his sled, I totally wanted one too! So I begged my people for a sled and they have hunted high and low, but cannot find any in ANY of the stores here in the Northlands. Un-ruddy-believable! We have an epic amount of snow, and I'd love to try sledding! You may have been fooled by my snowboarding photo on my page.- I was only posing for the pic, and never actually rode the board. I wanted to look hard because my brother Tobey is always harping on about how 'extreme' he is so I wanted to look extreme too :-)

I also heard that I was on T.V. again! They repeated that show that I was in a year ago showing me as the most pampered pup in MN. That was a blast! Shame I missed it -arf arf!!

Snow much fun!

Happy Howlidays! I just put up a new photo of me playing in the snow today. I've had a fun weekend of playing outside. I went to the groomers last week, so my 'fro is easier to manage when I get wet. But I have to wrap up extra warm as my coat is shorter. I especially have to wear my boots and leg warmers because my little paws can't stand the cold. So, as long as I'm dressed for the Minnesotan winter, -I have a blast in the snow.
Oh my dog, is it really Xmas this week? I'm so not ready!

Happy Holidays!!

Happy Holidays to all my pals! I posed for my Xmas photos tonight with my brother, Tobey. I put up a photo of us and another of me posing with the plush Afro Ken. We are standing underneath our very own kawaii Xmas tree which stands on top of my kennel. It's pink, and has Afro Ken and Hello Kitty ornaments on it as well as other kawaii things.
It is snowing outside, and I'm snuggled up with my pawrents, but I know they will be off out riding the freshies in the morning. I love the snow, but I hate that my people can't take me snowboarding with them.
I hate that they can't take me to concerts either, but when they went to see Oasis this week, I got to stay at my grandpawrents which was so much fun because my cousin Lita had the day off school and so we played together all day.

My 7 facts :

1. Some people see me and think I must be one of those prissy little lap dogs that are treated like a fashion accessory because I travel in bags, and like to be well-groomed. Truth is, I’m so well-behaved that my people can take me anywhere, which is better than leaving me alone. It’s important for me to look my best too because if I wasn’t so well-groomed, I’d have a very nappy-headed ‘fro!

2. However, that is only one side of my pawsonality. Just like Hannah Montana I have ‘The Best of Both Worlds’... *sings*

Then I rock out my 'fro!"
I may be a pampered, well-coiffed petrosexual, but I also live a dog’s life. I am like a big dog trapped in a little pups’ body, for I love to have outdoor adventures along the rugged north shore of Lake Superior. I swim in the lake, climb rocks, jump logs and get muddy just like my big doggy pals do.

3. I enjoy this time of year because it smells so good, and the leaves on the ground are fun to play in. But the best thing is all the visitors to our yard, like raccoons, skunk and deer. We always have a family of deer who like to live in our yard during this time of year. They eat the apples off our tree and then decorate the ground with their poo. I would love to play with them and they seem to be just as curious about me as I do about them. We have staring contests, but I always lose because I end up getting a bit giddy so they run away. I’m not allowed to run off with them which is a bummer.

4. I’m very much a country boy but I enjoy visits to cities. One time I went to Chicago with my people. I went everywhere with them and I had so much fun. The only place I wasn’t allowed was to visit to the top of Sears tower, (not even hidden in my bag), I didn’t want to stay by myself in the hotel room, so I stayed with my new friend, a very nice man who played the piano in the hotel. I hung out with him while my pawrents went to the tower and listened to him play. Of course I made him fall in love with me! That was very nice of him to babysit me.

5. I’m an intelligent little guy who is eager to please his people. I’m into learning tricks. My latest one has been to jump through a hula hoop. This is a big deal to me because it’s my mum’s hoop and it makes a swooshing sound when she plays with it. I was always a bit scared of the sound that it made, but I got over that when I realized how many treats I’d get if I just jumped through it!

6. My pawrents are sooooo embarrassing! They are proud pawrents who like to impress their friends by saying how clever I am and making me show them how I can read my name. I don’t mind that much though, because I enjoy the attention and the treats. ;-)

7. My new main photo with the cheesy quote was made by my daddy for an assignment in his digital photography class. Since he’s taken the class he’s turned into ‘that guy’ taking his tri-pod everywhere with him! But I enjoy being his favourite subject and model and I hope dad continues to take good pics of me for me to share with my pals on my page and for my mum to treasure. It certainly is a wonderful compliment when my pal Houston nominated my photos in Buddy’s pet photography contest. I have the bestest pals ever!! Thank you to Houston for nominating me!

Strugglin'

I've been fiddling about with my page, as you can see. I need to fiddle about with it some more because I'm not that happy with it. I think my background needs to be faded more as it's a bit hard trying to read these words here. However, I'm learning lots and lots and it's all thanks to the group, "Pawsome Pages".
I hope to spruce up my page a bit and Tobey wants to do the same with his. We have been neglecting our pages lately. I put up new pics quite regularly, but I'm getting super behind on keeping up with pawmail and stuff.

Dad and his mates are off for a bro-mantic time together tomorrow in Minneapolis where they are going to watch the MN Vikings play. So mum and I are taking the opportunity to cadge a lift down to the Mall of America for a day of shopping. Maybe we'll go to a park too if the weather is nice. Unlike today which is cold, windy, and has been trying to snow. Brr! I've been to the MOA several times before. Usually in a bag, once in my stroller, but this time I will be riding in my new rolling bag that I got for my birthday. I love it! I have been enjoying taking dog-naps in it. It's so comfy, and sleek looking. I'll have to get pics for my page.

Voting Day

I had so much fun this halloween! I came 1st place in another costume contest! This time it was an online contest for the pawsome Doggy Stylish. com where you will find the most gorgeous hand-made beaded collars. I am absolutely thrilled to bits to have been chosen as 1st place winner! It was a cute contest, (mac and cheese makes me smile :-)!) The collars are beautiful, and I think the prize is so very generous. I'm thinking it a bit greedy of me to want $100 worth of collars. I'd be very proud to own just one or two! I'm so excited to have won! ArrooO!!

Us doggies are such good sports by dressing up in cute, silly and embarrassing outfits, aren't we? But hey- if it pleases our people and gets us lots of treats- we won't complain, will we pups? I plan on getting dressed up for another weekend of festivities. I have a red skull sweater with devil horns on the hood that my mum knitted me. I might rock that tonight.

I'm a Pawty Animal!!

I had a 'fro-tastic 5th birthday! Thank you to my pals for barking "Yappy Barkday" wishes at me! I love all the gifts and rosettes! You dudes are so pawsome!
I had loads of fun at the Petco pawty. All the dogs had to walk the catwalk. I wore my baby dragon costume and I won 1st place! My pawrents are so proud of me!! I got to sniff lots of other pups too. I saw some adorable costumes. My pawsonal fave was a little shih tzu dressed as a piglet. Sooo cute!
I even got recognized! A lady recognized me from the most pampered competition that I was in, and she told her daughter that I was a celebrity BOL! It's funny how often I get recognized from being in that contest.
I had so much fun at Petco. I flirted with so many people who wanted to pet me. I loved the attention! I picked out 2 toys as my birthday treats: I got a scary, dracula Loofa dog; and a big, purple, fuzzy monster toy. I got given a bag of treats for taking part in the contest too, but I am going to spend the gift card that I won on a different visit. That's something I'm looking forward to!
That night I went to a second Halloween pawty. This time, I dressed up in my England football shirt because I matched my dad who went dressed as David Beckham in his England football kit. Mum was "Posh". I didn't have a WAG, but I did flirt with all the ladies at the pawty!
I sure pawtied like a rockstar and I had a pawsome birthday! ArrooO!!

Yappy Birthday to meeeeeee!

It's my birthday today! I'm 5 years old! What a big boy I am!! It's going to be such a pawsome day! I have 2 pawties to go to. I'm going to the local Petco Halloween pawty, where I get to pick out a special birthday pawresent! Then tonight I have a people pawty to go to. It's a Halloween pawty but the hostess has pawsonally invited me too! I'm going to wear my scary dragon costume and hope to get lots of treats!
I want to bark my thanks to all the pups who have sent me gifts and good wishes for Halloween and for my birthday. As usual I am falling behind on barking back at yous,- but I will bark back at yous!
I got some cool pressies for my birthday. My mummy knitted me a new jumper. It has the Murakami Graduation Bear on it wearing the Kanye West "Stronger" shades. He's soo cute! I will definately get pics for my page. I also got a new rain mac, (perfect for the weather today), and a new harness and lead that mum got me in England. It is cool because the logo has a little British flag on it so it's a pawsome souvenir too! Mum also knitted me a rainbow scarf. She knows how much I love rainbows. Dad got me new carrier that isn't so girly, so he wouldn't be embarrassed carrying me about in it. Unfortunatley, it was a bit too small for me, so we have sent it back for the larger size. I can't wait for it to arrive. It has wheels on it!

Happy Halloween!!

I'm a baby dragon for halloween! Mum made my costume especially for me. I have a long forked tail, lots of green scales, red spines all down my back, a pair of purple wings, a big ruffly collar, and a head piece with big googly eyes! Do you think I'm a scary dragon? GGRrrr!!!

Mum is home now and I'm so happy! I wish that daddy would have helped me with Dogster while she was away, as I missed barking at my pals and sharing my adventures in my diary. I had lots of adventures with daddy while mum was away. We went for lots of hikes. Mum can be relieved that I didn't go bird hunting, and neither did dad ;-)
I was so happy to see mum at the airport and I jumped out of my bag and went mental when I saw her. People around got a kick out of that! Mum's been giving me lots of belly rubs, and I've been loving it!

Arrooo! It's my birthday soon! I can't wait!! I'll be 5 years old! What a big boy!

Missing my Mummy

I heard my mum today. It was weird because I didn't really understand what was going on. I could hear her, but I couldn't see her. She is in England which is a long, long way away. I heard her voice through a "telephone". I know she misses her boys loads. All three of us (me, Tobey and dad)! Dad has been taking great care of me. I have been to work with him, and he has taken me hiking every evening. His friend wants us to go bird hunting, but mum said, "NO!" She does not want me near that kind of violence. I could stay at grandma's, but mum is hoping that dad decides not to go. I don't want him to go and kill any birds either.
Mum is having a nice time visiting. Her gran is doing much better. :-)I'm glad mum finished making my Halloween costume before she went away because she probably wouldn't have time to make one when she gets back. It will be my birthday as well just after she gets back, (October 25th), and she said she is making me a present while she is in the U.K. I'm guessing she is knitting me another sweater!! That's a good thing because it will soon be time to wrap up warm in my winter woolies!
I hope I can get on Dogster a bit even though mum is away. I have some catching up to do with my buddies, and I want to see all the pawsome Dogster Halloween pages.

STOP PUPPY MILLS

Just sniffing by my page real quick to put up a new pic of me rocking my "STOP PUPPY MILLS" cause collar I'm all ready to join in the Dogster stroll for the cause.

My camping trip last weekend was pawsome! Although, we were so rubbish at getting any photos of me. More photos were taken at the birthday girl's pawty and all those crazy shenanigans. We stayed on Madeline Island, which is the largest of the Apostle Islands. We had fun cycling around the island as I rode in my basket. We got caught in the rain, which was a bit of an adventure! Luckilly there was a spare kagoul to keep me dry in my basket. However, I stuck my head out and my 'fro went limp!

Yesterday, I posed for my Halloween photos. My people had fun with that!

My mum is rushing off to the UK on Monday because her Gran got sick. Gran is home from hospital now, but mum is going home for 3 weeks to be with her family. I'm really not happy and I'm gonna miss her loads. I'm glad that dad isn't able to go this time, at least Tobey and I can stay home with him.

Thank you again to Dogster for making my life as a dog that much more fun! Lori at HQ referred me to a lady at "This Old House" and they are going to do a story on my home-made furniture! I want to bark my thanks to Lori for thinking of me! This is going to be loadsa fun!

I have a secret admirer! This makes me very happy, but I'm so totally stumped as to who it could be! Does anyone have Scooby Doo's number? I have a mystery to solve!

I'm going on a camping trip tomorrow! I went to the groomers this week so my 'fro is nicely coiffed, and I have my Afro Ken bag packed all ready for my weekend! I'm going to the Apostle Islands. It will be a fun-packed weekend because we are going to a birthday pawty, and then all sorts of activities are planned like a treasure hunt, bar olympics, visit to a winery etc. We also got a spanking new camera so I'm excited to pose for lots of pictures!

How ‘fro-tastic was that!!
So it’s been ages since I last barked in my diary. I never posted pics of my fab weekend in the cities because we hardly took any photos and what we did take were a bit rubbish. But I did get some video footage which may make its way into my next movie. That weekend in the cities -we geeked out hard at the renaissance festival! It was lots of fun but oh-my-dog, it was such a hot day. I was glad I had my stroller as it provided good shade from the sun. That weekend was the ‘pet weekend’ which meant they had lots of doggy activities and vendors. It was a blast but dudes, there were so many funny looking people!!
That seems like so long ago. It seems like summer is over with now and autumn is here. Well today it does any way. I’ll be needing to dig out my sweaters soon! Brr!

T.D.I.F!

Yay! Thank Dog it's Friday! It's been a really busy week, but a fun one. I'm glad the weekend is here though. This week I hung out on beaches, climbed over rocks, swam and did my hippo thing in Lake Superior, hung out with human and doggy pals, played and hung out with Tobey the cat, got lots of belly rubs and cuddles, played with my toys, and played ball. Pretty much a regular week for me, except I went to the v-e-t too. It's OK, dudes I went with my brother. Poor cat had to go cos he has been having poo-problems. I went to give him my support because he is a scaredy-cat, but also because we went to a new vet that has opened up here in our little town, so I went with for a walk and to meet our new doctor. Tobey went in his eXtreme stroller which was cool because he hates car rides, so it's great that we have a vet so close now. I felt sorry for Tobey because he was prodded and poked in places that human paws shouldn't go, and he was laughed at for being 6 pounds heavier than me. The vet thinks Tobey's tummy is sensitive to his new food, but our pawrents are going to test his pee with this special litter they got to make sure there isn't anything more serious going on.
I liked the doctor very much. She said my wagger works very well! It is most exciting for me to meet this lady because she worked with Dr Ronald Schulz, the wonderful man who is working to prove how most pet vaccinnes are given too frequently. I was over vaccinated last year and had a very adverse reaction, and my usual vet denied it for ages while I got sicker and sicker. I had been very suspicious of vets, so I was very excited to hear my new vet tell me how although she cannot legally tell us to not vaccinate, she totally understands how we feel. She is hoping they will soon offer the new alternative to the usual rabies vaccination; the 'Purvac', as it is supposedly safer. And I'm all about the titer, dudes. It was also very refreshing to hear her refer to 'vet recommended' Science diet as 'junk food'. She also had excellent information to share about the RAW diet. She is the total opposite of my old vet who is still stuck in the olden days of medicine and refuses to move forward. The assistant liked me too and gave me a new ball to keep! It has a little saying on it; "Take the time to smell EVERYTHING" arf arf!! Tobey was happy to jump back in his stroller and go back home. He didn't have much fun, but I did!!

My pals are pawsome. Look how pretty my page looks with all the gifts and rosetes and stars! I don't think I've ever had so many! I even got some fireworks off Kenji, off Greatest American Dog! A famous doggy gave me a gift! aRROOOoo!! I got so overwhelmed. I started to bark my thanks but am nowhere near finished. You might hear from me by Christmas. Only joking, I hope to get off my tail and bark back at you real soon!

I'm a model! I went online to see when my fave doggy event is this year in Minneapolis, and I saw that I was on the front page of their brochure -again! I was featured last year and was in the local dog magazine too. This year it is a pic of me doing agility. I remember they were very impressed with my agility skills and wanted me to sign up, but I live too far away and besides, my whole back yard is one huge agility course! I thought the aparatus at the agilty course were small-time compared to the things I do up here on the Northshore. Jumping streams, and rock climbing. That's how I roll. I always have fun at the "Doggiepalooza" event and hope to go again this year. Turns out it isn't until October. In the meantime, there doesn't seem to be an awful lot happening in the Twin Cities for dogs this summer. Boring!!

Dog Daze

Hope everydoggy is having a fun weekend? I am!! I went for a nice day out to a 'blueberry festival' yesterday, which was fun. I saw some other dogs there, but it was mostly lots of people shopping for crafts, eating fried food and listening to music. It was a sunny day and I enjoyed it, but dudes, where were the blueberries?
It's another sunny day today so I'm gonna spend the day out and about, sniffing and exploring.
I actually got round to barking my thanks to my pals who sent me gifts and stuff this morning. Dudes, I wish I could type faster. My little paws make it difficult, but I hope to bark back at everydoggy soon. In the meantime, it is pawsome that my pals have been watching my new movie. Dudes, your sweet comments mean the world to me. Thanks for watching!
I'm also so totally flattered that Preston Casanova barked at me and said we should make a movie together!! How pawsome would that be?!!

"Dog of the Week" -the movie!

Best Week Ever!

Wow, dudes! Like my brother, Tobey said, "Holy rosettes Batman!!" Plus, I got loads of presents, and pawmail and pal requests - you pups are the best! You are making my week so special,- thank you all so very, very much!!
I am having the best week ever!! Being Dog of the Week is pawsome! Every dog should get a turn!
My weekend obviously got off to a great start when I saw I was DOTW on Friday afternoon, so to celebrate my people took me to my fave place, Gooseberry Falls, and I had a blast running, sniffing, and exploring. Then yesterday we went to Duluth and I met my brothers' Catster pal, Arnold P , he of the 'Brussel Ball' fame. We had a lovely time and Arnold is a cool cat. I felt a bit bad that my brother Tobey couldn't come with. Tobey doesn't like car rides like I do.
Then we went and ran some errands, did a bit of shopping. I got some new tennis balls and a new toothbrush. I'm gonna go to my field later to play fetch. Yay!

DOG OF THE WEEK!!!

Holy Flea! I am Dog of the Week!!! Wow! Thank you so very much H.Q. This is such a brilliant surprise and a great start to my weekend! I am so gonna have a pawsome week ahead. It's gonna be chockablock with extreme pampering and spoiling to the maxxx!! My pawrents say I deserve it :-)

Cat of the Day!

Concatulations to my big brother Tobey who is Catsters Cat of the Day!!! I was lucky enought to have been chosen as Dog of the Day so I know what a totally, fantastically pawsome day this is for him. I hope he hacks up that nasty furball that he has been whingeing on about all morning, then we can get on and celebrate his special day. Pawty on!!

NAME FOUR JOBS THAT YOU HAVE HAD

I’m a hard working dog. Here are the jobs that I have now:
1) My main job is to be a “good boy”. This is quite an easy job as I am very laid back and I like to please my people. Being a good boy means I’m not allowed to get into the rubbish bin or beg for food when my people are eating. Stupid rules like that. My pay for being a good boy is lots of treats, cuddles and belly rubs, (I get paid 'under the table' too -arf arf!). It’s a pretty cushdy job.
2) Sometimes being a good boy isn’t enough for my people, so I am sometimes given the job of “tricks”. I don’t mind this job either as it is paid in treats. Tricks that I am required to do include the usual, “sit”, “stay”, “come” and stuff like that, but as I am an especially “good boy”, I like to show off and do other tricks too, such as reading and dancing. I am very clever.
3) I have a very important job of “looking good”. This is an especially important job as I am named after my hair style, so I have to keep my ‘fro looking its best, (or else everyone would just call me ‘Ken’). I am a petrosexual who takes his grooming very seriously. Looking good has paid off because I have been featured in magazines, newspapers and even on T.V! I’m like famous and stuff.
4) I am my mum’s work-out partner and this is a job that I take very seriously. I make sure she gets her exercise so I take her on long hikes, and we go climbing over rocks along the shore and through the woods and go jumping over streams and stuff like that. I am especially good at yoga and I’m a great dance partner too. We like playing fetch and running as well as playing soccer and rugby. I make working out fun!

I just switched my main photo to the one of me in my England football kit in celebration of Wayne Rooney's marriage to super-wag Coleen! Congrats Roooooooneyyyy!!!!
Barking of weddings, I went to one last weekend. I was invited! I wore my suit with my shirt and tie for the occasion and I saw my dad's aunt who's little Bichon, Courtney, went to the rainbow bridge last year and she was very sad so I gave her lots of puppy lovin'. She liked that.
I've also been on lots of hikes, and hanging out in the great outdoors. I hung out on my fave beaches last Sunday. That was fun.
I went for a hike along my fave river last night. I hope we go there again tonight.

Eh up! There's a squirrel on my page!!

Oh my dog! There is a scaredy squirrel with an afro-tail on my page!! Too right he should be scared, - I'm gonna finally catch me a squirrel! Thank you to Lucy for such a pawsome gift. My pals are so great, I am little behind on Dogster, but I will get round to barking back at my buddies.
My pawrents went to the Glow in the Dark concert last night and told me all about it. They said it was brilliant. I wish I could have gone too. It is a rare occasion when I don't get to go with my people, but a concert would have been way too loud for my ears. I love Kanye, Rihanna, Lupe Fiasco and especially N.E.R.D so I was super jelly that I couldn't go. Kanye Bear is pawsome!!
We have had a lot of rain here, so I haven't been out on many bike rides this week. I did go on a really pawsome hike along one of my favourite rivers the other day. It has been way too cold though, so I didn't want to go swimming in it. I was glad of the colder temp because it meant there were no ticks that day, which was a good thing because I was hiking through lots of vegetation. Everything smelled so lush and the river was roaring. It was a great day.

I want to ride my bicycle

It's been a lovely weekend here. We thought it would rain, but it turned out nice, so we have been out playing! I put up a new photo of mum and I enjoying a bike ride earlier today. Do you like how I roll? I love my bike basket. I wasn't going to bark about it- instead I was going to make a video and share it with you that way, but I have been having so much fun that I couldn't wait any longer. I still intend to make a movie of me riding on the bike, but in the meantime I just have to bark about what fun it is! When we get on the quiet roads and bike trails, I like to run along side my people's bikes, but when I get too tired, or when there is traffic, I love to sit in my special pet basket.
Ooh now it looks like it will rain. I look forward to a nice quiet evening at home on my little sofa, watching the telly. *yawn*

My brother, Tobey is Catster's Diary of the Day! I am so happy for him! He is featured on Catsters home page. What a lucky cat. I hope he thoroughly enjoys his special day in the spot-light. Tobey sometimes gets a bit jealous of me because he doesn't have as many pals as me and not many cats meow at him, so I am happy that he gets to feel extra special today. He deserves it! "Meow" er-I mean "Woof"!!!

My New Crib

I got a new pic on my page of my new crib. Hope you like it. I really dig it! I should try and get a night-time shot of it with the fairy lights on it all lit up. That would be purty.

I have had a fun weekend. It was a good job that I got out on a nice stroll yesterday morning because the weather later turned bad and we had a lot of rain. It was gorgeous today though, and I went out for a run down to my fave beach and to the lighthouse. Then I hung out in my new crib outside while my people got stuff done around the house.

My grandmaw and cousin, Lita came over to visit and I wore my SpongeBob t-shirt for the occasion. They thought I was adorable as usual. My cousin is a girl-scout and she told me she is going to use my fave dog-biscuit recipe to bake treats to donate to the local animal shelter. How pawsome is she? I hope she gets a nice badge for that. ArrooO!

OK So I guess the background music was the reason why my video was removed. (I used the track , "Clubbed to Death" by Rob Dougan). I have heard off other Dogsters that this has been happening a lot lately. I heard that Dogster will soon be using a different video company, so I can put my vid back on my page, we hope. It is a beautiful spring day today. A bit windy, but I like the feel of the breeze flowing thru my 'fro. Hope my pals are having a wicked weekend too!

I have just released my new movie. and you can see it now on my page. It is called "Dog Park" and it is a film I made this weekend when I had my play date with my new pal, Bear. It was a fun day I hope you enjoy it. :-)

Update: Well, I'm a little confused here.. My video has been removed? I have contacted Dogster as I don't know what was wrong with it. In the meantime, I will upload it to my YouTube account.

Ken and the City

I had a pawsome weekend. I hope all my pals did too. I went down to the Twin Cities with my people on Friday. That was a fun day because I met my new doggy pal Bear. Bear is a 9 month old Bichon and he is sooooo cute! He is such a little character (as us Bichons tend to be). He took me to his fave spot, an off-leash dog park. This place was amazing! I consider myself to be a very lucky dog to live where I live as I get to explore some fantastic trails and I love to swim in the lakes and rivers, but I have to bark, - these city dogs have it good too! This park was sick! It was so cool to see all the dogs- big and small- interact with each other. Bear was a total social animal going up to all his doggy friends and jumping up on the picnic tables greeting the people. I liked meeting the people but I was very shy around the other dogs at first and I hung out between my people’s legs.
We went exploring around the park, which was big and there were lots of trees to pee-pee on, which was brilliant. There were ponds and mud puddles to play in and as soon as Bear saw the mud puddle he went mental in it! Just like when I blitz in the snow, Bear blitzed in the mud! He got so filthy! He had just got a haircut which was a good thing because there is no way you can behave like that with a big ‘fro! I had just had my ‘fro washed and blow-dried so I wasn’t going to get dirty. People saw Bear and I and laughed at how dirty he was and how posh I looked! One little girl said how I looked like a dog in a movie! I was so flattered by that. Then I lay in the pond like a little hippo which is something I like to do to cool down. It was a lovely, warm day and that park was a great place to go to.
Later, I hung out with Bear and his cat siblings while our people went out for a meal. When they got back, Bear had a bath and then we played some more. The cats were fun to hang out with too. I had a great time :-)

We stayed over in a hotel and I was very good. I traveled light and just took my Afro Ken overnight bag with my stuff in it. I didn’t take my SpongeBob suitcase this time. I was surprised when I saw daddy's family at breakfast the next morning. They stayed at the hotel too.

It was daddy's graduation on Saturday. I wore my suit with my shirt and tie for the occasion and I sat in my bag during the commencement ceremony. I heard babies cry and kick up a fuss, but I was as good as gold. No one knew I was there. I had my picture taken with dad in his cap and gown looking very clever. I was very proud of him!

The rest of the day was spent doing fun stuff like shopping and hanging out in the Brit pub. I love visiting the cities.

We have had a lot of rain here and it is still raining now, so when it finally clears up I want to have my photo taken with my new house outside. I also have another fun thing to bark about, but I may just keep that under my ‘fro for now. I think showing you in a new video would be a great way to bark about it! Arf arf! Hehe!

I'm a durrty dawg

I have to take a shower today and have my ‘fro blow-dried because I have a big weekend planned and I need to look my best. We are leaving for the twin cities tomorrow because it is my mum’s birthday and we are going to large it up! We are going to have so much fun! I get to meet a new friend as well. His name is Bear and he is a Bichon like me. His pawrents wanted an “Afro Ken dog” BOL! We are going on a play date to a dog park then we are going for a meal. I can’t wait to meet this wee pup!
We are going to stay over in St Paul because daddy has his graduation ceremony on Saturday. I’m going to wear my suit for that as that is a special occasion. It’s going to be a busy weekend because my people also have to go shopping and visiting and all kinds of fun stuff. ArroooO!

My house is finished! I have my very own dog house like Snoopy’s. I’m not sure how Snoopy managed to sleep on the roof as it doesn’t look comfy at all. I like the plush, comfy interior instead. My people decided against that idea that they had to decorate the outside. It was taking way too long, so they went back to their original plan, and so it is decorated to look like it is made of bricks and it is decorated with flowers, a bumble bee and fairy lights. The other idea that my people had was to make me a ‘shaggy dog house,’ which they would make by latch hooking rugs to cover the house. They did this crazy design of the cartoon Afro Ken’s head with a groovy tie-dye background. They were half-way done when they decided it was taking too long and they had other things to do instead. The two pieces they had finished for the back and the sides of the house are now going to be turned into rugs and wall hangings for my bedroom instead. I think that’s a great idea. I love my rainbow Afro Ken themed bedroom. Now my house is done, we can think of other projects to do. Like finish my wardrobe and build me a whole new set of bedroom furniture! BOL! I’m so spoiled- arf arf!
I will get pictures very soon of my house. We haven’t taken any yet, but when I do I will put them on my page. I’m going to enjoy chilling in my house outside in the summer time.

Now I have to go take my shower. Grrr!...

Rainy Day

It's a rainy day but I don't care. I need to get out hiking. The rivers are flowing and everything smells so good. I'm gonna be a dirty dog but I'm gonna have a great time. Hope all my pups have a great day too!

Lone Wolf

Last Friday was kind of exciting because there was a crazy blizzard. It felt like the house was going to blow away, and the power kept going out. I enjoyed hunkering down with my family where I was warm and safe. I hope that was the last of winter. It's been a nice, warm week and I've enjoyed lots of playtime outside. I'll be swimming in the lake again before we know it. I can't wait for summer now!

I was on a drive along the North Shore last weekend, and I saw a Timber Wolf. He almost got ran over by the car in front. Luckily they saw him and braked well ahead of time, but he was in no hurry to go back into his woods because he just stood there by the edge of the road watching the traffic go by. I’m glad I was strapped safely in my monster-riffic car seat because he looked very hungry! He was also shedding his winter coat, but he had a very handsome face and he looked like he was enjoying the warm sunshine.

I like this time of year because the Canadian Geese are all chilling out on the golf course. It’s my job to chase them off! I’m really good at it too. They leave behind loads of treats but I’m not allowed to sniff them! Not fair! Arf Arf!

My new car booster seat is monster-riffic! I love it because it is so plush and comfy and it is high enough for me to see out of the window and enjoy the feel of the wind blowing thru my 'fro. But most importantly, being strapped into my car seat is a safe way for me to travel.

I have enjoyed several car rides since I got it and I am going to visit my friend, Durban, this afternoon. I'll show him my car seat but he's a big labrador, so he might not be too interested in it. I have fun playing with Durban, I can't wait to see him.

Flirty Friday

I'm having a great day today. I went to work with daddy this morning and I'm having loads of fun running around and flirting with everyone. Daddys' co-workers like it when I visit and I just adore all the attention. They think I got fatter, but I'm just one big fluffy 'fro, that's all. In fact the reason why I'm at work with dad is because I have an appointment here in town with my girl, Felicia to get my 'fro trimmed. She's back from her maternity leave and I'm looking forward to seeing her. She's gonna make me look gorgeous!
So it looks like work on my house has been put on hold, but that is because my people went and made me something else in the meantime. I'll get some pictures this evening when I go home so I can show you what it is. All I'm gonna bark right now is that it's pretty freaking pawsome!!
My people have also been working on building a tree for Tobey for him to scratch and climb. Dad already built him one and he just loves it. Then dad started to build this other one with the idea that it would be a spot where Tobey can eat his food so it is away from my interfering jowls. Tobey was hoping it would be ready for his birthday, but he will just have to wait a little while longer. He's gonna be so happy when he finally gets it though!
Now the very cold winter is over daddy can get out and continue working on projects for us. Tobey is going to have a wicked tree, and then I hope dad will get round to working on my new bedroom furniture that we designed. -I have far too many clothes so I need a custom-made wardrobe to fit them all. I hope my people get back to working on my house as well because it is halfway done and I can't wait to use it! All these projects! Spoiled much?

I am just gobsmacked by all the great feed back that my videos are still getting! My Pampered Pup video has become quite pawpular with bichon lovers on YouTube and people are telling me they are sharing it with their friends. It’s just great to get these sweet messages. Thank you people! Thank you to my doggy pals as well in the ‘bichon lovers’ clubhouse’ who were recently barking over my Crazy Ken video. I like being a movie star! BOL!

Oh my dog - the Easter bunny was very good to me! I love my pals. Dudes, you are pawsome. Thankyou for all the easter pressies on my page! I will get round to barking my pawsonal thanks to each of you, but first I just want to bark about how pawsome my new harness is! It arrived the other day and I love it. I'm going to go to my favourite beach in a short while and I'm gonna wear it for that. It's so comfy!
I am also excited because my big brother, Tobey will be 5 on April 1st. We didn't know the exact date that he was born but he's a bit of a fool so that date suits him fine! Arf arf!
Oh I gotta run. Mum needs to brush me and get me ready to go out. Later dudes!....

Happy Easter!

The snow is melting and we are entering mud season. What fun for a little white dog like me! My 'fro is huge at the mo. It was great and it kept me warm during the very cold winter but now it is the 2nd day of spring and I reckon I'm due for a trim. My groomer is off on maternity leave right now and I don't want to see anyone else because my groomer is the best (she makes my 'fro look fierce!) Oh what to do what to do.... Maybe I should rock the Sanjaya Faux Hawk again? Arf Arf!!

I'm getting very excited because my house is halfway done! My people took on a big job when they decided to decorate my house the way that they are, but it's gonna be sick! I can't wait! Arroooo!!

Most pups on Dogster mostly see my Petrosexual side; the Afro Ken who loves to dress up and pose for photos, but there is another side of me- the Afro Ken who likes to have outdoor adventures and get dirty like all dogs do. For that, I need 'gear' as opposed to 'fashion' I have plenty of fashion stuff of course, but 'gear' is for when I'm all-business. My fave gear is by a company called Ruff Wear and I have just ordered a new harness by them. I can't wait for it to arrive. Their stuff is so great for going backcountry. I'm super stoked because my people found it at a place where they buy their 'gear' and it was 56% off! Dogs love bargains too! ArrooO!

It's Friday! Yay!

I recently barked about my new house and I said I was going to get photos of it for my page. Well, apparently it is not ready. I thought it was; dad built and painted it and mum made a little sign with my name on for it, but apparently my people wanted to customize it some more. So a trip to Michaels later and now my people are busy working on making my house extra fancy. I can't wait for it to be finished and as soon as it is, I will get photos for my page. It is going to be very unique I can bark that much already! Arrooo!

It was snowing earlier today. I look forward to getting out and playing in the fresh pow pow! Arf Arf!
Thank Crunchie it's Friday! I'm craving a good hike up the shore with my people. Let's get lost in the woods, yo! Actually my mum sometime worries about me up here in the Northland. I was out with her the other week and she got all nervous when I started to go off sniffing on my own because I was on the trail of fresh paw prints that were rather large, but there were no human prints near them. Mum was worried that they were wolf paw prints. That got her thinking of a story she heard recently of someone here in Two Harbors who had three little dogs and a wolf got one of them when they were let outside to go peepee poopoo. When this person went down to the local cafe all upset, one of the villagers said something like, "Oh well, you still have two other dogs" Grrr!
Mum's friend is excited because she is going to visit the parents of her new puppy-to-be this weekend. I'm excited because that means I will have a new doggy friend in town to play with! My new puppy pal is just a twinkle in his parents eye right now and will not be born until the summer time. My new pal will be a British Labrador. I wonder if he will bark in the same accent as my mummy?

Mystery solved?

This was fun! I had a mystery to solve. I felt like Scooby Doo or Sherlock Bones or something. Some pups sent me a mystery anonymous rosette and I had to guess who. They left me a clue. Here it is: "Rose are Red, Voilets are True... two Maryland Sibes really love you! Guess who? Ruvies"
It was fun sniffing around wondering who it could be but I think I have cracked the case. I have gathered all my evidence and I belive the mystery rosette givers are..... The Pack, my sausage and dumpling pals! Arf Arf!

Happy Valentines Day!

I'm back off my holiday and I had a wonderful time! I missed my people so much and I was happy that they came back in one piece. Although I hear they had their adventures out in CO. There was so much snow and the riding was sick, but it also caused some passes to be closed and they couldn't get back to their resort for 3 nights. Luckily they had friends to stay with so it turned out alright. Good job they didn't take me after all! My people saw my pal, Burger in Colorado. I hope they gave him some puppy-loving from me. Burgers a cool dog. He's a big, muscly 120lb Ridgback but he plays so nice with me and we are best buds. I hope I get to see him again this summer.
Tobey and I had a blast at our grandpawrents. We were very well behaved like always :-)

I'm going on holiday!

Tobey and I are going to our grandpawrent's house today.We are staying for a week because my people are leaving us- again! I'm kinda bummed that they aren't taking me on their trip but they said they will be snowboarding all day every day. That doesn't sound like puppy-friendly fun to me! I always have fun at my grandpawrents but I will miss my people sooooo much!

Yay!

Yay! I have my computer back! I'm happy to be back on Dogster properly where I can play. I have put up a couple of new photos; one of me with my Dolly, and another of me playing along the Lakeshore.

Ooh it's sooooo cold and windy here! I've spent most of my day snuggled up on my little couch. Mum recently put a new cover on it and I love how soft the new fabric is. It also matches my little throw which has been keeping me warm today. I have had some great winter days playing outside, but today isn't going to be one of them. It's way too parky out there!

Chillin in chilly MN

Wooah! I'm so behind here on Dogster I don't feel like I'm ever going to catch up! I can't believe January is almost over. The laptop will be back soon- yay!! I will be happy to get my paws on it then I can have Dogster fun again!

I was on the telly!! It was so exciting and they showed Tobey too! They showed how pampered I am, but of course they showed the silly side of pampering, -you know the stuff people enjoy like dressing me up and stuff. I was happy to prance and pose but the best bit was when I danced and twirled for fresh baked biscuits that my people baked for me. It would have been cool if they showed the other side of pampering too, you know the stuff doggies enjoy like running along beaches and playing outside, but the presenter was mardy and thought it was too cold. Instead he saw Tobey's stroller and wanted me to be shown pushed in that! I did it for the cheesy fun of the show, but I only ever use the stroller in situations where I can't walk. After all I'm not a baby, I'm a big boy! Being on TV was pawsome!!

It has been very, very cold here in MN (-40C) Bbbrrrr!! I have been making sure to wrap up warm when I go outside and I don't like to stay out for very long at all. Hope all my pals are staying nice and warm too!

Well that Cloverfield movie has come out. I don't think I want to go and see it. I have already been scared by that Cloverfield monster and I don't want to go anywhere near it again! You can see my Cloverfield movie on my page. I got a funny email off my angel buddy, Houston who asked me how I knew about the Cloverfield monster last summer when the movie has just come out now. I got a huge kick out of Houston thinking I must be an ‘insider’ like a writer or a director or something pawsome like that! That would be cool, but instead I only knew about Cloverfield because of the trailer they showed before the showing of Transformers. The trailer didn’t show the monster and the movie had no name. People were guessing it would be called ‘Cloverfield’. I haven’t seen Transformers but heard about Cloverfields' viral marketing campaign and how geeks online, especially on Youtube were trying to discover clues as to what this monster could be. So I decided to join the geeks in the hunt for the monster. As you can see from my movie I found it (or it found me....)!

Tobey and I will be going on holiday to our grandpawrents’ house for a week because my people are going on a snowboarding trip. I’m gonna get spoilt by grandma! Arrroooo!!

Happy Hogmanay

I hope everydoggy had a fantastical Christmastime! Before I bark about my Christmas I would just like to woof that I am currently without my beloved laptop and I am now using a shoddy piece of rubbish that is really doing my head in. I have been feeling very unconnected without my laptop especially over Christmas as I have not been around to wish my pals happy holidays nor have I barked my thanks at my pals that have wished me a merry Christmas. I apologize for this and hope to get my computer back shiny and like new very soon so I can really catch up here.

I have been a very busy pup this Christmas. I enjoyed shopping for gifts and my brother Tobey and I helped to wrap them. Christmas was loads of fun and I ate loads of yummy food! Santa Paws was very good to me too! I got loads of toys. I got a big cuddly Shrek, a pink dog, a penguin, a snowman, a Manchester United food dish (sooooo pawsome!!!!), a rawhide Christmas cracker - and the prizes inside were chewy sticks in different flavours! I got a big box of my fave biscuits and a big, bumper bag of greenies. Mum baked me my fave biscuits too. My grandpawrents got me a fancy box that has a cute dog on it and it is the perfect place to store my Kong collection. Mummy knitted me a sweater with a fluffy teddy bear on the back and on the hood it has teddy bear ears. I look so cute in it, just like a real-life teddy bear. She also knitted me a yellow cable sweater which looks so cozy and cuddly. We have a lot of snow here so I am very thankful for my sweaters. Plus she knitted me a red and white striped scarf so I am all set for this weather. I also got a really cool t-shirt that has a winter scene and the words ‘puppy slope’ on it. I rocked it this past weekend when I went away with my people on a snowboarding trip. I loved flirting with everyone and I was such a good boy. We all stayed in a gorgeous log home and I had a great time. I love the snow!

Oooh! I will get to see myself on the telly soon! I think I will be on in February some time, but the men came up to my house earlier in December to film the segment. I have a great photo to put on my page of me posing with the presenter and the cameraman. As soon as I get my computer back I will have to post it on my page. It was a fun experience, but I was a bit bored toward the end of the day. It was a long day of filming. I had to film a sequence of me wearing different outfits. That was the boring bit. The best bit was when they filmed my people baking biscuits for me! Mmmm! I love being a pampered pup!

I'm gonna be on the telly!!!

It's been a fun week settling in and getting back to normal at home with my people and Tobey. The best part was when my dad got a phone call from a television station based in the Twin Cities. They want to feature me in a television show about dogs! They heard about me from when I was in the local paper earlier this year. I'm like, kind of a "big deal" around here! BOL! :-)They are coming up to our house next week and they want to see my bedroom and all my sweaters that my mummy has knit me and stuff. I can't wait!
I told Tobey that I'm the star but I know he'll be trying to hog all the attention and get on camera. The bloke who dad spoke to said he knows all about Tobey too. I know he has seen one of my videos with Tobey in it, but I wonder if he knows we each have our own blogs too? I'll have to be sure to tell him about Dogster and give a bark-out to all my pals too!

We have lots of snow here. It's fun but it has been arctic monkey weather so I've only been out for short amounts of time, and I made sure I was dressed warm too. I like to lie down in the snow and spin in circles like Homer Simpson until my face is one big snowball. My 'Crazy Ken' video shows me having fun in the snow! I'm a good boy when I go back inside and mum needs to dry me off. I stay on the mat and lift each paw in turn as she dries me, then we go crazy when it's time to wipe my belly and my face. It's a little game we like to play.

I'm not looking forward to this weekend. I know I'm gonna have to stay home while my people go boarding tomorrow. Then I know on Sunday I'm getting a bath so that I look nice when I'm on the telly. OK so I like getting my 'fro blow-dried, but even so any dog would prefer to be out playing and that's what I'd rather do! There had better be time left over for play and lots of cuddles too!

It's good to be home

I've had a busy morning catching up on my pawmails and thank yous to my pals. I'm not fully caught up but I wanted to take a break to write in my diary all about my jolly holiday.
I was upset that mum left, but I had fun hanging out with dad for the first two weeks of November. Dad, Tobey and I had fun being boys together and hanging out and going out for walks. But dad made mum worry when he called her over in England and told her how he put me out one night to go peepee poopoo and he heard an owl hooting in our back garden. Mum is scared of birds of prey after hearing the story from a pal who's aunt had a little dog like me and she saw an eagle swoop down and carry her pup up into a tree. *shudder* That is a terrible story so I will get back to barking about my holiday and what fun I had instead. I didn't like it that dad left me and my brother for a fortnight when he went to join mum and I wished that I could have gone too, but I had fun because I went to my grandpawrents house. I always have fun at my grandpawrents house as it is out in the country and I had a blast exploring and sniffing everything. My grandma said she didn't know my people had raised humans and she thought we were a very cute pair together and that we were such little characters. We enjoyed curling up and watching TV together. My grandma said we especially enjoyed The Hunt for Red October. It was a very exciting movie! Tobey and I enjoyed playing together and grandma enjoyed playing with us as well. Dad made sure I had my fave toys with me as well as my pink house, and the play cubes that Tobey and I like chasing each other through. I also took my suitcase full of warm winter clothes and my Afro Ken bag with my toiletries.
On Friday I went with my grandpawrents to meet my people at the airport. I was soooo excited to see them again! I was a good boy. Luckily our airport is very small so noone minded that mum let me out of my bag to cuddle her and to lay on the carpet as mum and dad gave me a quick belly rub, but it was when we got back to grandma and grandpaws' that I really went mental! I was so happy to see my people again! I had the biggest smile on my face and I ran and ran from dad to mum and back again over and over. It was pawsome!! It was late when we all got home to Two Harbors and my people were very tired. I was more than happy to cuddle up and take a very long nap with them and Tobey.
Now I am home and I woke up to 12 inches of snow this morning. Dad is out snowblowing right now. I hope my people take me out to play later and not go off snowboarding instead. They love the snow as much as I do and I can't wait to go out and play in it with them! Arrroooo!!!

Yippppeeeee!!!

Hi everydoggy! I'm a very happy puppy because my people have come back off their holidays! I missed them sooooo much! I also missed my Dogster pals and I have loads and loads of catching up to do. It has been a long month without Dogster! Arf Arf! Thank you every doggy for the gifts. I need to catch up on my pawmail and I will thank my pals pawsonally. Right now I need to catch up on lots of play-time and cuddle time with my mummy and daddy. Tobey and I had a wonderful time at grandma and grandpaws' house. I'll tell you all about it later. Right now it's cuddle my mummy time!

Current mood: Sad

The weather has been great and I've been having fun! I've enjoyed some great walks and I've seen and sniffed loads of deer. I sniffed a deer again last night. I get excited when I see them and wonder why they run away when I do my cat-pounce move that Tobey taught me. Tobey showed me this move as a way of telling him that it is playtime but the deer don't like it the way Tobey does. Anyway they don't run away too far when I do this and one of them always walks back up to me. I just stand there with my tail wagging and then she comes closer to sniff me. I hope dad takes the camera the next time we go walkies because we have to get this on film. It's so cute. I went to Gooseberry Falls the other day and I wore my space invaders sweater that mum knitted me. I got lots of complements and I was glad of it cos it was a very chilly day!

Today I am sad. My mum leaves for England tomorrow and she will be gone for a month. My dad will join her in a couple of weeks. I'm really sad. I will miss her so much. I want dad to take me with him, but my people don't want me to travel in cargo on the plane. It is such a long journey for a little dog like me, and I wouldn't like it in Cargo. I've heard some bad things and it scares me. I think I'll have to stay with my grandpawrents where at least I'll be with my brother, Tobey. Aww but can you imagine the fun I'd have in Europe? I wanted to go Christmas shopping and sightseeing with my people. I also wanted to make a movie of my trip to share with my pals. *sigh* I'm so sad. I'm off for a sulk and a mope...

I'm 4!! I'm a big boy now!

It was my 4th birthday yesterday and it was a PAWSOME day!!! Thank you to my pals for wishing me a happy birthday!
My mummy made me a yummy birthday tea and I had all kinds of delicious treats and pupcakes. Then we went on a nice long hike to all my fave beaches. We ran along the shore and clambered over the rocks on the beach. I was like Dora the Explorer and I sniffed so much good stuff. I saw lots of deer and one deer was so curious that she came and bent down to sniff me. We were almost nose to nose! A nearby couple were having a picnic and could not believe what they saw. BOL! I hang out with deer ALL the time! They are my pals!
My daddy built me a dog house! What a cool surprise that was! It isn't finished because daddy painted it white and mum wants to 'customize' it some more. That means she's going to go mad painting it and adding embellishments. It's probably gonna look like Liberace's house when she's done! I'll be sure to get photos of course! I also got a bottle of champagne that squeaks, and a really cool spiderman toy and I got bones, and cookies too. I also got lots of belly rubs, but I get those everyday! Arf Arf!

I've Been Tagged!

I'm getting to be a very lazy Dogster and I soon got behind on my pawmails.

7 random facts about me!
1) I would rather be pushed in my stroller or carried in a bag than walk. My people don't let me get away with this too often and make me walk unless I'm in a place that won't let me.
2) I'm having fun being Dr Afro Ken this Howl-oween! The babes love it! Arf Arf!!
3) Even though I have my own bedroom and custom made bed, I usually sleep with my whole pack on one big bed. Tobey and I like to sleep by my people's feet!
4) When I do sleep in my own bed, my mummy tucks me in at night and when daddy wakes me up the next morning to go peepee poopoo, I am usually found snuggled under my blanket in the same position. Awww!
5) I got really sick this year after I had a really bad reaction to my vaccinations. It could have killed me. It took months for me to recover. I hear this sort of thing is not uncommon and that is really sad. I wish that no doggy ever got sick again from vaccinations. I really never want to get vaccinated again and I do not even believe it is necessary to have them done so often. I think it is important to get the titer shot to see if the vaccination is needed.
6) The whole experience of me being sick and how my vet fibbed about how common my reaction was affected my trust in my vet in many ways. (I have wrote all about it in my diary) My vet also has a very narrow minded view on pet food and only trusts the big companies, which I do not after this awful year of food-recalls. So I have since changed from my vet-recommended food to Evo, which I LOVE! The vet-recommended food was pretty rubbish and full of fillers. Evo is pawsome food and I am so healthy now!
7) My birthday is on Thursday! Arroooo!!! I will be 4 years old!!!

I will have to take a sniff around Dogster to see who I'm gonna tag!...

Before I do that I will bark about what I've been up to.
We've had a lot of rain here and my 'fro got wet and went a bit limp. I now have a half-'fro rather than an afro! I should take a shower and get mum to blow-dry me. That will make me 'fro-tastic again!

Friends of my people said that they wanted an Afro Ken dog and now they have just become the proud pawrents of a 10 week old bichon puppy called Tango! I can't wait to meet him! The mommy of one of daddy's work-mates also got a bichon puppy after she saw one in the paper earlier this year and thought he was adorable. Hey! That was me! I was famous for 15 minutes earlier this year when I was in a contest and the paper put me on the front page! Arf Arf!

I am excited for my birthday this week. I don't think I'm gonna have a pawty because my people have been too busy, but there is a Petco Howl-oween pawty that I have been invited too so I might go to that for my birthday and then I can pick out another pressie! ArrooO! I hope my people take me on a long hike somewhere nice for a birthday treat. What doggy wouldn't love that.

Dr Afro Ken!

I am dressed as a surgeon for Halloween. I hope you like my new pic of me operating on my toy. It was a difficult surgery but the pink elephant pulled through and is now like new again. It is a gory profession being a surgeon - I was covered in fluff!

I put my "Afro Fun" movie on You Tube. Thank you to everypup who has left me a nice message. The Dogster dog left me a very sweet message too! How cool is that!

It is another wet weekend and I really wanted it to be nice so we could go out hiking and see the beautiful autumn leaves before they all blow off the trees. I have been taking my walks around the neighborhood instead and I like seeing the houses that have have decorated for Halloween. I also enjoy seeing my Dogster pals who dress up for Halloween too. This is a fun time of year especially as you get lots of treats for dressing up to look so silly!

I went to the Doggie Palooza!

I went to the Doggie Palooza on Saturday. I had a pawsome time even though it was raining. I got my people to push me in the stroller and with the rain cover on I stayed nice and dry! A few people recognized me and my pawsome 'fro and I loved the attention. I walked about for a bit but I all I wanted was to get back in the stroller. My people called me a baby but I don't care. I'd rather travel in style than walk. The Palooza really wasn't as good as last year and it wasn't just because of the weather. They didn't have as much going on. There certainly wasn't as much swag as last year, but there weren't as many vendors and events. I saw the lure coursing again, but I didn't have a go at it this time. I watched some of the other dogs try it and it was funny as some fell over trying to catch that fake animal! It was cute seeing all the dogs queing up for their turn. Some were getting very excited and couldn't wait to have a go! I had a go on the agility course and took to the ramps and tunnels immediately. My people and those watching me seemed very impressed with me, but I thought it was nothing because I am used to going on extreme hikes where I clamber over rocks and logs and jump streams and stuff. The agility course was small-time! Arf Arf!
I played with a couple of bichon pals and other little dogs in the small dog play area, then this little boy suddenly grabbed me and made me yelp. I think he thought I was a toy, silly boy!
After the palooza we went to the Mall of America and I went and got my Halloween costume! I think the babes will love it! BOL

It has been a fun week so far. I've been on nice walks and ate some good treats and got belly rubs and stuff like that. Hope all my pals are having a great week too!

My Tune is Back!

My theme tune is back! Yay!! I don't know what happened, but I'm just glad it is back! Arroo!

My Tune Has Gone!

Oh no! I have lost my theme tune! I guess the link is no longer available. Now I'm not sure how to get it back. It is not a very common song, at least not in this country. In the meantime I shall have to think of a new theme song to play on my page. "Who Let the 'Fro's Out" maybe? I used to have "Three Little Birds" by Bob Marley as my pals Simon and Tadpole's mom used to sing that song to me and say that was my tune. I'll have to think about it. I also lost my background pic also! So I put my old one back up again for now.

I stopped off at the beach on my way home from school today. Then when we got home mum boiled me an egg. Mmmmm!

I'm looking forward to this weekend because I'm going to the Doggie Palooza. I went last year and had a blast. Each dog is given tickets to spend at different attractions. You can see a video of me at the lure course attraction in my video book. It's a very short video because I wasn't very interested in chasing the fake animal. I wonder what I'll spend my tickets on this year? I might go on the agility course, or maybe I'll do a painting? There's all kinds of things to do and if I run out of tickets I'll beg my people to get me more. I'm good at begging!
I'm also going to get my Halloween costume this weekend. Oooh I can't wait!

I'm Pawrez Hilton!

I was feeling silly today so I thought I'd dress up as my favorite 'Queen of all Media', Perez Hilton -but you can call me 'PAWrez Hilton! Arf Arf! I put on a fabulous clashing outfit, my superstar shades and I took pictures of me posing with the laptop. I put up a pic of it on my page. I like Perez, but I think I dress better and I have better hair!

I went to work with dad today. I had a great time sleeping in my bag under his desk and then we went off in the car. I was excited because the place we went to smelled great and I saw another dog go in before me, but it wasn't until I was half-way through the door when I realised it was the groomers and so I stood dead in my tracks refusing to budge! You see, I get a bit shy when I see my groomer, Felicia for some reason, but this soon passes then it's down to business and then I take my grooming very seriously.
Felicia had to cut my 'fro a bit shorter this time because it is thinner than usual. This is because of the bad reaction that I had with the rabies vaccine, and Felicia said I was lucky that my fro looks like it is growing back lovely. oh goodie! :-)
It was also interesting to chat with her as she is very knowledgeable and she also believes in a more homeopathic vet and recommended a good one for me to go to. I also bought some new food from the grooming parlor that I have been interested in trying. It is called Innova Evo and it is free of fillers. I have only heard good things and have been wanting to get off commercial dog food for a while. I'm glad we have found a local place that sells Evo cos I love the stuff! I know this stuff will make me strong and healthy! Mmmmore please! I already licked my bowl clean! Yum! Felicia screwed her nose up when dad said I eat Science diet. It was recomended by our vet, but then our vet was very much against the raw diet.
So I'm looking gorgeous and I smell fab! Thing is, it is chucking it down with rain outside and I need to go peepee poopoo! Oy Mum! Go fetch my raincoat!

I'm missing my daddy

My daddy has gone away this week on business and I'm missing him loads. Mum could have gone and taken me too but she said we both have school to go to. Ggrrr!!
I'm also upset because my pal, Riley is at Woofstock down in the cities this weekend and I wanted to go too. He will be handing out treats and telling everypup about his business Daisy Dog Care. I hope this is a great weekend for him and his people. I hope I get to sniff Riley at another doggy event soon. I might get to go to the Doggie Palooza again, or maybe Dog Daze. Both are later this month, but I'll have to beg my people to see if I can go for sure.

I'm getting excited because my birthday is next month and I will be 4 years old on October 25th!! That means I will be a big boy!! Arrooo!!

What Afro Ken Sez

I've been a very lazy Dogster, but I've been a busy pup. Honest I have!

It has been a while since my people have spoken to my vet, but they had a chat the other day about my progress. I'm so totally back to my old self, but my people were worried about how much fur I lost and if it will all grow back. My 'fro is getting thicker but mum needs to be convinced of this. It was cool when my pal came to visit last night who I hadn't seen in ages and said how my 'fro is getting thicker. It sure is getting longer too and I'll need to see Felicia soon to get my 'fro coiffed. Anyway, I should hopefully be back to my super fro-alicious self after my winter coat comes through.
My vet has a little white poodle and she explained how her pup went through the same thing as I did when she got her rabies vaccine. Apparently the vet lady was angry about the whole thing and she explained how she has been a vet for many, many years and was always a big believer in vaccines, yet lately there seems to be so many problems, such as my reaction. They had to report it and they think it must have been a bad batch. Her little dog lost a lot of fur too.
I put my paws together and pray really hard that they discover and prove it necessary to vaccinate only once in a pups' lifetime. Wouldn't that be great?

I'm so totally bummed out because it seems like my people won't be able to take me with them when they go to Europe this year after all. I have my passport and suitcase and everything, but that place called Great Britain is so ruddy strict about letting 4-leggeds into the country. The problem was that flights to the UK only allow animals to travel in cargo and there was no way my people would let me travel like that. Then, they learned that if we fly to mainland Europe, then I can sit in a bag under the seat in the cabin. Then to travel from the continent to the UK we would take the ferry. That would have been great if we could have stayed in Europe for a few days before travelling to the UK, but the rules for me coming to the UK were under a time-limit so I would have had to travel from the US to the UK all in one day, and that was a lot of travelling time for even a two-legged never mind a four-legged in a bag! After looking into it we found out the ferry time was 6 hours, not including travelling time from airport to port, and not including the 9 hours plus connection times of travelling by plane. Phew! I think I'd prefer staying with Tobey and my grandpawrents to that!
It's going to be just awful because mum will be gone for a whole month! Dad will join her for the second fortnight and without me they are free to go off snowboarding or something else cool. Without me! *sob*.
I will miss them so much!

Happy Labor Day!

I hope all my pals had a great long-weekend? I did! Arrooo!
I went to the cabin which is in the middle of nowhere. I played with lots of people and loved all the attention, especially from the smallest of two-leggeds. I went for a long hike in the woods and even heard a bear! I didn't see it, thank dog! I'm pretty sure it was a bear, it sounded huge!- although it could have been a moose, because it was in the area where hunters have been killing bears. Grrr! That made me nervous when I heard we were in that area! Another thing that made me grr was when I heard the children had caught a bat and were keeping it in a tupperware box! Unfortunatley the little thing had already died when we went to free it.
We went by a Native American burial ground, but it was getting dark quick and the sounds got spookier, so we didn't dare go further! We are scardy cats! We went back and sat around the camp fire where us dogs all enjoyed belly rubs. The people were talking Halloween plans and it got me wondering what I should dress as this year!
The next day we went 4-wheeling and we got covered in mud! So I took a bath in the lake! It was funny when dad dunked me in and I swam myself clean!

I had a great time, but it was nice to get back and see Tobey. He misses us loads when we leave him, but he knows he does a great job at taking care of our house. Also he loves to rock-out to the radio like a mad man when he’s alone!

New Sweaters

My mum knitted me a couple of new sweaters. I have a sweater with Space Invaders on it, and my new fave, a red hoodie with a skull on it, but the best part are the devil horns on the hood! Mum designed my sweaters especially for me and I love them! Thanks mum! I put pics up on my page of me modelling them. I'm getting ready for the new season, as it is very important for me to be rocking the latest styles as well as staying toasty warm during the fall and winter months.

I heard some very promising news about about my pal, Afro Oliver today, so everypup please keep your paws crossed that he will be allright. We don't want no sick puppys!!

I have been enjoying being back at school and I am a good student! Well.. maybe I'm not that good. I sleep through the class! BOL!

Back to School!

This is not a happy time. I just read the diary of my good pal Afro Oliver and learned he is sick. Please get better soon, big guy. I am sending him lots of my special puppy love.

Buddha's daddy has been very sad. He stayed at ours on Friday, then early Saturday morning he left to take Buddha's ashes to be scattered at a special place they used to share together. Split Rock is a very beautiful place and I like to go there too. Now it has been made so much more special as my sweet friend is there now.
When Buddha stayed with us recently, my mum took a picture of her when she was sprawled out on the couch. She looked so chilled out and comfy. We framed it and gave it to her daddy along with the very special 'Rainbow Bridge' poem and 'The Last Battle' poem.

It was the first day back at school for mum today and I went to class with her. No one knew I was there as I was as quiet as a mouse laying low in my bag. I've done this before in a couple of classes and the professors knew I was there and they were cool about it. As long as I got my flirt-time in with the female students before class started I would then settle in my bag and would be quiet for the whole class. I should get credits too, right?

I got into the trash today and now my snout is dirty. My cuteness means I get away with being naughty but I'm only naughty sometimes. Not like our Tobey BOL! My people try to tell me that it is dangerous for me to get into the rubbish, but hey if they are sloppy about puppy-proofing the house then I'm going to take advantage in a flash!
So luckilly there wasn't anything to make me sick but now I need to wash my face and brush my 'fro and then we are going for a hike along the shore.
I saw my pal, Bowzer last night. He's so totally cool.
I sat on the porch with my dad earlier and we greeted the postman when he came to our house. I was very excited to see him in the flesh! I alwas bark at him through the windows! He always laughs at me! Then daddy told me about a sad story involving a lady at his work. She has daschunds and one of her little guys got out by accident and while he was out he bit a 7 year old boy and now the little dog is in prison and has been given a death sentence.
This news was just a total downer, I couldn't believe it . And then there are the stories of animal cruelty in the news such as that repulsive Vick human, and now DMX (again!) and their fighting dogs. It is all so sad. When will animals get the same respect as people? It is awful how animals are being treated like slaves by people, whether it be for farming, medical experiments, entertainment such as circuses, or these so-called 'sports' it is just wrong. Hello humans? Animals are not YOURS.
All these sad stories make me ggrrrr!

Dog Days

I have been sad about my pal Buddha, and then I heard that my good Dogster pal Maggie May also went to the rainbow bridge. Maggie May was the sweetest little puglet ever and I know her pack will miss her so much. I believe these two sweet dogs will meet at the bridge and be great pals so that makes me feel better. Both of these old girls are now in a good place with no more pain. I also want to bark a thank you to my pals for their kind woofs. You are all pawsome!

I played some video games to cheer myself up a bit. As you can see from my new photo I even have a sweater with Space Invaders on it. I dress up for every occasion even video gaming! BOL

It has been a while since I last wrote in my diary and I've been up to loads of stuff. I went to a Pow Wow. That was really interesting and loads of fun! I saw one man and he was wearing the skin of our handsome cousin, the wolf on his back. People sang and dance and beat drums and we ate good food and saw great crafts. Some of the stuff was a bit strange for a little pup like me to see and at one point I thought I was in Nocturn Alley, -you know the street in the Harry Potter stories where they sell spooky ingredients? - because they had squirrel tails, racoon jaws, deer toes and all kinds of other weird things!
I've been enjoying what's left of summer. I also went to a pub that lets doggies in and saw a little chihuaha chilling out and enjoying yappy hour too!

I've been getting a bunch of chain mail and the message in it is really sweet but I'm not going to get involved with that. At first I sent a couple of the pawmails back to the senders to show them that I love them too but I didn't want to carry it on and send a bunch out. Then more and more started arriving so I'm just barking that I'm not gonna reply but that doesn't mean I don't love you all cos I do. LOADS!!!! Arrooo!!

Goodbye Buddha

I am very sad because my friend Buddha is going to the rainbow bridge today. She had another accident and hurt herself so she is going to be put to sleep. She will be missed so much. I am sending puppy love to her heartbroken daddy.
I can't believe this because it was only the other day that I was playing with her. Sometimes she seemed like such a puppy, like when she would raid my chewy basket and play with my toys and chase the ball, or when she would roll on her back for belly rubs. Yet sometimes she seemed like such an old lady, like when she tried getting up the steps one day and her legs gave way. Her daddy sent me a present for looking after her.It is a Ruff Wear food and water bowl, and it is so tough and rugged that it will last me forever and I can take it everywhere. Thank you, Rob! It is just like the one Buddha had and I will always think of her when I use it. Buddha took her Ruffwear everywhere with her and she was a very adventerous doggy who enjoyed the great outdoors here in MN and in Oregon. She loved camping, hiking and canoeing, and I hear she was excellent at frisbee when she was younger.
Buddha feels no more pain. She is at peace now at the bridge and I know there are lots of other sweet angel doggies for her to play with. Goodbye, Buddha.

Dog-sitting was FUN!!

I had so much fun with my pal Buddha and I was happy that my cat brother Tobey ended up liking her too. We had a blast together. The first night she was really missing her dad, but then she started to relax and enjoy herself. She really enjoyed my 'basket of chewys'. The basket was pretty full, but now all that's left are just 3 rawhide bones. She liked my toys too, but she had her own that she liked best. We played ball together, and we went on lots of walks and I showed her all my favourite trees and places to wee wee.
So last night after she had left, it was all back to normal for Tobey and me. We went mental chasing each other around the house! I got so excited, I puked!

Love-Tagged Again

A weird thing arrived at our house the other day. Its name is Roomba and its job is to zoom around the house and eat up the dust and hair off the floor. It's a funny-looking creature but it isn't scary. It's mental the way it runs around all over the place looking for 'food'. Such a curious thing but it doesn't bother me. In fact, I like it because now I reckon I'm not going to see the evil Dirt Devil again! Oooh that was a scary monster!! Dirt Devil lives in our basement and mum would bring it out to feed off our floors. Now Roomba can eat the dust and hair and that horrible Dirt Devil can stay downstairs and starve to death! Mwahahaha!!! Hey! I wonder if that "Cloverfield" monster is a Dirt Devil???... Hmmmmm

I'm excited because my pal Buddha is going to be staying with us for a few days! She is visiting from Oregan and her daddy is going to go camping up in the Boundary Waters. Buddha is old now and she is poorly with bone cancer so she cannot go up there with him. Poor girl. I hope she has fun staying with me. I know she will cry for her dad and he will miss her too. I will share my toys and treats with her and hopefully she will have fun.

This is sweet! My daddy works with this lad who told him that his mom just got a Bichon puppy! Why a Bichon? She said it was because she saw the cutest one in a newspaper article. Hey that was me!!! The lad told her that he knew me and she was very impressed. I should send her my pawtograph! BOL! I bet her new puppy is gorgeous!

Thank Dog It's Friday!!

I had a pawsome time yesterday. I went on a hike and I played in the river. We were out in the middle of nowhere so I didn't need my collar and lead, - I was free to run and play in all my nakedness and I had a blast!! I got wet and dirty and just had the most pawsome time! Arrooo!!

This morning was fun too. A big doggy found my mummy and she hung out with us on the deck and we played for a little bit until we found her mommy and she went back home. Her name is Cassie and she is a lab/Golden retriever cross and she got out last night. Wow she must have had a pawsome adventure staying out all night wandering about! She was so friendly and she loved belly rubs about as much as I do! I was a bit jealous of mum giving her so much puppy love, and I was secretly glad when mum called the shelter who said they had just got a call from her person who was missing her. She only lives a block away and I went to take her home. Her mommy was so happy to see her! She is such a sweet doggy!



I just want to bark a few words about the HSUS campaign to persuade the NFL to punish football player and alleged dogfighter Michael Vick appropriately. Now that a grand jury has indicted Michael Vick on federal animal fighting charges--including reports of extreme cruelty to dogs who weren't aggressive enough--it's clearly time for them to get off the dime.

Please ask NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell to suspend Michael Vick immediately for his cruelty. It will only take a minute.

I'm just thrilled to bits that my "Afro Fun" movie is on the main page! Thank you to all my pals who have been giving me bark-outs! I'll woof at you soon. I've been very busy you see. Now I've caught the acting bug, I have been busy making movies. I have just put up a new movie. It is called "Cloverfield" and in it I try to discover what the "Cloverfield" monster is. I'm chuffed to bits that my 'Afro Fun' movie is on the home page! Arrroooo!!
Thank you Dogster! So I feel really pawpular today as I have loads of pawmails and pal requests! Thanks to everypup who has rated my movie and left me a sweet message too! I'm glad you liked it!

I'm excited because dad is going to build me a wardrobe that will be big enough for all my clothes and stuff! The armoires that we have seen for doggies have all been too small and I wanted one to go with my bed that dad made and my matching side table. Well, dad went and bought some wood that is too nice to paint, -it would look really nice stained instead. So my people decided I would need to have a new bed and table built to match my new wardrobe then! Straight away mum began dreaming up a four-poster canopy bed for me! Woo hoo! Sounds pawsome! Get cracking on it dad! BOL
Then I will let my brother have my old bedroom set. He recently got his own room too and it's full of cat stuff, but other than his cat tent and a toy chest that he sleeps on and a little table, he doesn't have much in the way of furniture- he doesn't have a cool bed set like me. He was going to have dad build him a bed, but seeing as I am getting a new bed set he can have my cast offs! Arf Arf!... Aww I hope he isn't too mad at me for getting all this stuff. I know mum will make him really cool new bedding for his bed and make it super pawsome just for him.

I saw Harry Potter!!!

Yesterday was a fun day. I went out into the woods 4-wheeling with my people. I had a blast running behind trying to catch them! I also saw my cousin Lita who was much happier yesterday when she saw how better I am now. The last time she saw me she cried because she saw how I had been sick and had lost my fur. I played with Lita and that was so pawsome!
Then we went into town and I went to the cinema to see Harry Potter! No one knew that I was there as I was hiding in my bag, hee hee! It was such a great movie! We love Harry Potter! My fave character was Padfoot the dog who could turn into a man. I thought he was so cool!
Next to the cinema there was the annual dog show that comes to Duluth, but it was over with by the time we came out after the movie. I saw some very cute dogs out and about though. Bow chicka Wow Wow!!
Then we went to see my pal, Bowzer. He is my big American bulldog friend. He was having a pawty and I met a brand new 7 week old puppy, a pitbull called Bella. She was sooooo cute! We enjoyed the summer's night and had a bonfire and I played and sniffed and explored. It was loadsa fun!

I just put some new pics on my page. It's been too warm for clothes so I've been basking in my nakedness, but I got some new threads and I wanted to show them off. My main pic is me modelling my new Union Jack hoodie that arrived all the way from England just the other day from my mum's granny, and the second pic is of my new Peace sign sweater that mum just knitted for me. I got the coolest pressie off my mum's grandma in England! She sent me a hoodie with a Union Jack on it!! I can't wait to wear it when I go to England! I have an England football shirt too, so I'm totally gonna be representing! Arrooo!!!

I love my pals and I think it is the coolest thing ever when they tell me they share my page and videos with their friends! Thanks pals! My good friend Sherman tells me he has pals as far away as Israel who watch my movies! Wow! I'm like an international movie star or something! Arrrroooo!!!

I had a pawsome time at the lake yesterday. Today is a day for napping though and not swimming. The weather is crazy right now. I'm listening to the wind howling all around me and it sounds very scary. I think if I went outside I would blow away so I shall curl up on my sofa and take a nap instead. I think I will dream of having my paw prints immortalized on the Hollywood walk of fame!! Ahhhh!

I would like to thank my brother Tobey, for lending me his stroller for tomorrow. I am going to decorate it in red, white and blue especially for the occasion. I have noticed that none of my little doggy pals who own strollers pimp their rides. I wonder why? My brother's Catster pals are all about pimping out their strollers. I wondered about this to my cat pal Rocky Ann , who is a Super Stroller. Rocky Ann has 2 AT3's, a red one and a blue one and each one is decorated in the cutest way. My brother is all about pimpin' his rides too. His Mean Green Machine isn't very mean looking as he has decorated it with Hello Kitty toys, patches and matching bell and streamers, but it's cool cos it has lights on it! His AT3 Xtreme Machine is really pawsome as it's red with flames on it with a matching custom-made interior, and it even has bling on it too and a wicked horn! His Super Stroller pals are all about pimpin' their rides as well and they all look so cool. Rocky Ann meowed back that she never sees 2-legged children's strollers pimped out either. Are cats super creative or something? How come their rides are so fly? I think all dogs who own strollers should pimp their rides too! Arrooo!!

1. I am a petrosexual. I like to be stylish and look good. Of course, I'm all about the 'fro, but I also like to wear trendy clothes and accessories. I have loads of outfits. My human pal, Al says I have more clothes than him. I can believe it! Arf Arf! My mum also designs and knits sweaters, scarves and legwarmers just for me. I have loads which is a good thing because it gets really cold up here in the winter time.
2. Like I said, I'm all about the 'fro and I take my grooming very seriously. I enjoy a good shampoo, condition and blow dry. Mum does an okay job, but I love my groomer, Felicia. She's top dog!
3. I'm a great dancer. I'll dance especially nice if you give me a treat.
4. I am still a local celebrity! People still continue to comment about the pampered pup contest even though that was months ago!
5. I'm a rugged little guy who loves to be out rambling in the woods or exploring along the shore. I love to go camping and I even have my own tent.

Cup Cakes for ME!!!!

Wow! I got a pawsome surprise last night! My good pal, Snooper sent me a pressie now that I am feeling better and can have treats again. 'Now I'm better I can officially have some yummies', and what yummies they are!!! She and her Catster brothers sent me a box of cupcakes from Kool Dog Kafe! So delicious! mMMMMmMMmmmM!!!! Thank you Snoopers, Boogers, Fido and Hondo!
I knew the parcel was for me when mummy carried it in. I could smell them you see. Tobey just sat there glaring at me. He didn't like it that I got a present. Especially as Fido, Hondo and Boogers are his pals, but he's over it now. He's just moody like that sometimes, but he's cool. He knows I was really sick and he knows our pals are just pawsome, and very sweet for thinking of me.
I had one cupcake straight away. It was delicious! So now I have a new fave doggy company. Kool Dog Kafe is da bomb! Arrooo! Thanks guys!!

The daddy of my pal, Durban came up last night. I want to go on a playdate with Durban soon. I hope my people plan it for us soon.

A fun day out

I had fun hanging out with my cuz, Philip on Friday. He brought my brother, Tobey some flame patches to pimp out his stroller, but it was I who got to show them off first! I borrowed my brother's ride for my visit to Minneapolis yesterday. Thanks, Tobey for letting me borrow it. You are a pawsome bro! I know all the babes thought I looked fierce in my sweet ride!
I went down to watch a parade, and attend a doggy wedding. I didn't know the bride or groom personally, but all dogs were invited to attend. The groom actually chose his bride like the Bachelor does on the telly. Unfortunately, they were on a tiny stage and big people were huddled around it so close that we could not see anything. I still had a great time at the reception. I met my Dogster pal, Riley. I met him before at a Yappy hour event and it was very nice to sniff him again. I put up a photo of us hanging out together. We weren't being rude sticking our tongues out, by the way! We were panting like a pair of hot dogs because it was so warm yesterday! It was a long, hot day for us pups. I was glad of the stroller after a while, because I got tired and I liked the shade that it gave me. Mum liked it because she could carry so much stuff in it. Riley was with his 2 two-legged cousins. I bet they had fun because there was loads of stuff for two-legged kids too. It would have been cool if we stayed in town later to see Riley's daddy play in his band. His gig was close to the club where there was a pawty that my people were invited to, but we didn't do either and left early to drive back up north because we had to get back to do the so-called errands that mum and dad go on about all the time. No fun! I wish we lived closer! I love visiting the cities, and I do enjoy a yappy hour so I am sure I will see my little pal, Riley again!

I felt bad for my brother, Tobey because he has to stay home alone all the time and I get to go out on fun day-trips, but then I remind myself that he is a cat and he does not like car rides, loud noises, other dogs or hot weather. So he would not have had fun like I did. I wanted to hang out with him today and go out on a trail with him and our people. He missed his stroller yesterday and he wanted to get out too, but there is a massive thunderstorm going on right now. I better get my paws off the computer and take a cat nap with my bro instead!

Mmmm Fish!

My grandpaw has just come back from camping up at the Boundary Waters and he gave us some of the Lake Trout he had caught. I was given some before it was cooked and it was so delicious! I also had some Frosty Paws ice cream too! Arrroooo!! My mum is very curious about the raw food diet. My vet is very much against it, yet doesn't seem to know much about it. After the way he dismissed homeopathic remedies, I am beginning to think his views on pet care are very old school. Mum is a vegetarian and is squeamish about feeding me meat, but after all my health problems of late and my hair loss, she believes this diet could do wonders for me.
My cousin Lita loves me very much and I could tell she was upset when she heard I had been sick and saw how I had lost some fur. I was very happy and surprised when the postman brought me a very sweet get well card off her! Thanks Lita. This is what she wrote,

Lita's brother Philip is coming over tomorrow. I will have fun hanging out with him. I met these kids on my very first day home to my family when I was a puppy. That was a very big day for me!

Arrooo!

Hope all my pup pals had a pawsome weekend. I did. I went to a pawty Friday night and it was the best type of pawty for a pup like me. We hung out on the beach and had a bonfire. I got to hang out with a couple of cool dogs called Burger and Mocha. We sniffed and explored. Burger and Mocha are big dogs and they were running in and out of the lake, but I spent most of my time flirting with the people and sniffing the beach. I will get plenty of swimming in this summer, I just wasn't in the mood that night. I had loads of fun!
The next morning, I had all these nasty red bulls-eye marks on my groin. Turns out they were from all the gnats flying around. Mum called the emergency vet and she said how lots of people had brought in their dogs, worried sick over the same problem. Ugh! I just got through tick-season and now gnats! Gross.

I was not happy on Saturday when my people left me at home to go to a wedding reception. I whined and cried, but Iwas a good boy. I stayed with my brother and we hung out and listened to the radio. I found two Kongs that were hidden and they had treats in them! That was kind of exciting.

I got to go with my people to some faire thing on Sunday, but I had to hide in my bag because pets weren't allowed. Of course I was very good and no one even knew. It was a bit boring though and we didn't stay long. People were putting on fake accents and were dressed in old fashioned clothes. It was something to see and somewhere to go, but a little strange for a pup like me. I prefered running around the field where we were parked.

I went for a really nice walk yesterday. I like going for walks with my whole pack,. That means my brother, Tobey the cat comes too in his stroller.

My Shopping Trip

I went down to the cities yesterday with my people and they took me to an adorable pet boutique called Lulu and Luigi's. It was like walking into a dream-come-true. Every cute doggy item you can think of was in this store. They had so many cute clothes, and beds, and bags, and collars, and leashes, and, grooming products, and strollers, and a barkery, and...*pant, pant, pant* Well, you can dig what I'm barking- they had EVERYTHING. It was all so cute!
I sniffed Lulu herself, but she was totally stuck-up and growled at me. Maybe it's the power of the 'fro, but I'm so laid back that I didn't let it bother me. I just wagged my tail and went on sniffin'! Alright!
Then we went to Petsmart, and I got to sniff all the fun stuff they had. I tested out an Igloo dog house, and some cat furniture that were on display. Hee hee that store is fun! I liked the cat furniture because they had lots of hiding spots.
It was a fun day and I got some goodies too. I got a pig ear and a chicken toy. I also got some bubbles to play with. One bottle is meat scented, and the other is peanut butter scented. I haven't played with them yet so I don't know if that will be fun or not. I know my brother likes bubbles, but I usually just watch him play with them. Maybe I will like these more because I sure like meat and peanut butter! I also got some treats to give to my brother.
We bought a frame for my portrait so I will finally be able to display it and then I will get a photo of it for my page. I feel so special to have my portrait displayed in our home. My pal, Cricket's mommy did my portrait and I love it!

I've been busy having fun. I'm back on the meds because as soon as I stopped taking them, my skin got itchy and sore again. As soon as I went back on the Pred it calmed down again. However, I'm not letting all this get in the way of me having fun and when the weather is nice, I like to go out and play. My pal Solomon came up for a play date and we went for a nice long walk along the lake shore. I showed him all the places where I like to sniff and cock my leg. I think he really enjoyed himself and I hope he comes over to play again soon. Solomon is a big dog. He is a Siberian Husky and he is one of my bestest pals.
My human pal, Uncle Abe came up yesterday to hang out but he didn't bring my pal, Durban with him. Durban is my bestest pal and we have loads of fun together. I hope I get to hang out with Durban soon. I like the summertime because I get to play out with my dog pals. I hope this is going to be a fun summer and I get to go camping and go swimming in the lake. That would be a blast! Arrroooo!!

Eewwww!!!

Yuck! I heard a horrid story today. The mommy of my doggy pals, Maddie and Abner woke up in the middle of the night to find a wood tick crawling on her! Those things are nasty. Uh-oh! Time for a flea and tick collar! I can't use any kind of drops because I'm so sensitive, but now I'm nervous to even wear a collar. I will need something though because we live in the country and I love playing outside. I stopped taking my medication today, so I hope my skin gets better. I still have very itchy skin and my bald spot is reaching around my whole middle like a band. Now I have had a haircut you can see how pink and sore it looks in places.
The more people my mum talks to about my vet, the more she hears bad stuff. It is time to look for a new vet me thinks.
It is cold and wet outside today. No playing outside for me. This weather makes me want to curl up and take a nap instead. *Yaawwwn!!*

The 'Fro is Back!

I had a lot of comments over my 'Sanjaya' do. I even got rosettes from pals who liked it. -Thanks, pals! I had fun with it, and the babes all thought it was fierce! However, I was beginning to look like a really shaggy dog, so I went to see Felicia, my groomer on Friday. I went into work with dad and chilled out in his office until it was time for my appointment. I've been to dad's work loads of times, and I really like all the people he works with. My charms have no doubt rubbed off on them, as more and more are getting dogs of their own. Now there is another guy who says he wants a dog. I'm sure it's because he fell in love with me! Dad said I was shy when I went in to see Felicia. Well, duh! I'm really self-concious over my bald spot. I mean, I'm all about the 'fro! Anyway, she said, "Let's get you looking beautiful", and off I went. She always makes me look gorgeous, and she made my 'fro look amazing. Check out my new main pic. I'm so soft, and cuddly and boy do I smell good!

I went down to the cities on Saturday. I had to get up really early because my people were going to watch the FA Cup final at the British pub. I snuck in the pub by hiding in my bag, and I was such a good boy. No one even knew I was there.
Then we went to visit some friends. Their cats are on Catster and are pals with my brother, Tobey. It was cool to meet the kitties and their foster sister and her kittens. I hung out with them while the people went out to eat. I had fun but I was hoping my people would bring me home a doggy bag. It's no fun being an allergic dog, because while I'm still recovering I cannot have different foods. It's really boring! The cats, Spike and Amenti have just got a stroller. How cool is that! I know my brother is all about strolling. He thinks it's the best thing ever. Tobey was kind enough to lend me his new stroller for my visit to the cities. Thanks bro!
Then I strolled around the Mall of America. I know why my brother loves strolling so much. It's like being carried in bags except that you can move around and see so much. Mum said it was nice pushing me around the mall because she said I get heavy when she carries me. I saw loads of stuff. I saw a big crocodile that came out of the water and snapped his big mouth at me. I wasn't scared because it wasn't even real. People were throwing money into it's mouth. I thought it was pretty cool, so I was excited when mum bought me a crocodile toy! Awww, thanks! There is a Snoopy theme park in the middle of the mall. Snoopy's a cool dog. There was so much noise, and so many people. The shortest people liked me the best and I thought they were pretty cute too. Some were in strollers themselves.

Then when we got home, there was a present waiting for me that the postman had brought. It was from my mum's mum in England and she sent me a really cool camoflage parker with a fur hood. It's a get well gift and I love it! There's a pocket on the outside, and two pockets on the inside. I can hide my treats in there. Hee hee! I will have to model it for my page. I can't wait to go camping as it matches my tent! Cool!

Wet Tuesday

Well today is really boring! It's raining! Gggrrrrr!!! I can't play out when the weather is like this. The rain turns me into "Dreadlock Ken". Arf Arf! I can get mucky if I want to though because I go to the groomers on Friday. I can't wait until I can see again! I can't see a thing unless I wear my hair up in a Sanjaya style faux-hawk. I'm all 'fro and it is covering my eyes. I look adorable of course, but I look more adorable when you can see my big brown puppy dog eyes.
Ha Ha Ha! It's funny when friends come round to visit and they are allergic to cats! I get all the attention and Tobey gets none!

Big Bowzer is a Big Bro!

My good pal, Bowzer has just become a big brother to a two-legged baby! He now has a tiny baby brother. His name is Ayden Carson. His daddy said he wanted to spell Carson with a 'K' so his son could be "A.K." like me! BOL!! A to the K, homeboy! BOL! Congratulations on the new baby! Woof Woof!

Happy Birthday to my mummy!

My dad telephoned Felicia, my groomer, to make an appointment for me because my 'fro really needs a trim. He told her all about my recent health scares and my bald patch and do you know what? Felicia knew SO much about this problem! She said how she sees this a lot and has seen dogs with bald patches, swollen paws and sores because of reactions to shots. She said that she never wants to get her furkids vaccinated again and I don't blame her! How scary that this is such a common problem. My vet said it was rare, but I don't believe him, I believe my groomer because she sees a lot of doggies and she never lies to me. I look forward to seeing her. I have my appointment on the 18th, which means I have plenty of time to roll around in the dirt and get as mucky as I can! Arrroooo!!

It's my mum's birthday today. Happy birthday, mum! :-)

My pal, Durban

I went to visit my friend Durban today. Durban is one of my bestest doggy pals and I haven't seen him in ages. He is a 10 year old Lab and he is like a huge puppy. He is so much fun! He lives in the country by the lake and he gets into so much trouble like fighting with skunks and stuff! I have known him since I was a tiny puppy and although he is boisterous and clumsy sometimes, he has always been so careful around little me. Of course, now I'm fully grown I can play big boy games with him no problem! I was rocking my "Sanjaya" look for my visit to Durban's house today. I put a photo of it on my page. I have a nappy-headed 'fro right now as I haven't been to the groomers in ages, so sporting a faux-hawk kept my 'fro out of my eyes. My 'fro is a state, but as I'm still losing hair, we want to wait a bit until I go and get it coiffed. Mum brushes me everyday so I don't have any lugs, I just need a good trim. I am still on the meds, but my dosage has been reduced to half a pill every other day. I have a huge bald patch around where I got my shots. I hope it gets better soon.

I have a really cool portrait that my friend Cricket's mommy did of me! As soon as it is framed and my 'fro is groomed nice I want to take a photo to show all my Dogster pals how pawesome it is.

Spring is here!

It was a really nice day today and I'm feeling so much better that I went out for a long walk. Mum's friend came with and she brought some treats just for me! Yummers! I have to wait until I'm off my medicine before I can have them, but I'm sure that will be soon. Yay!
Tobey came as well. He can't wait to get his new stroller. It is supposed to arrive tomorrow. Arroooo!

I'm feeling a lot better. Thanks everypup for your get-well wishes. I woof you all! I'm still taking one pill a day and I think I stop tomorrow. My people are keeping in touch with the vet and he will decide if I continue with them or not. My little body went through a lot and I still tremble sometimes. I also mope about a lot, even though I have my moments where my alter ego, the crazy Mr Wiggles makes an appearance. Some call it the bichon blitz, but I call it Mr Wiggles. I'm eating a lot which is great because I lost some weight. I also have lost my fur around the injection site. My skin is dry and flaky. I hope it gets better soon. My sores have healed so I'm a lot happier! Woof!

My brother is getting a new stroller. The one he has only has small wheels so he can't come out with us when we go walking on many of the paths that we have here out in the country. So he is getting the Petgear AT3. It is an all-terrain stroller which is a bit more hard-core and he fancies himself as a bit of an Xtreme sportscat. He even got all his pals calling him Tobey Hawk, because he reckons his moves are that tight! *sniggers* Aw, I'm just having a laugh. He knows I kid! He really is Xtreme and he made a movie that you can see on his Catster page that proves it! I think he's a cool cat and I'm really excited that he's getting a cool present. I'll get to borrow it too. Yay!

Thankyou, Smudge and Bob for the really cool present that you sent me!!! It was Tobey's birthday and I got a present too! Off cats too!!! Really though, I was feeling pretty sorry for myself, then I got a cool rope toy and it really cheered me up! Thanks, cats!!! My brother has really pawesome pals! Woof Woof!

Mr Wookie Snuggles is Famous!!

OMD! I just saw my pal Mr Wookie Snuggles on TV!! He was in the opening credits on WE's show, "America's Cutest Puppie" I can't wait to see the episode where they show him! Congrats, Mr Wookie, and I have my paws crossed that you win the contest! Mr Wookie has an extremely elevated Awww factor! Arrrooo!!

Well, I'm feeling much better! I've done a bit of moping today, but now I'm up and I've just had a bit of fun playing ball with dad. I'm sure I'll be right as rain in no time. Well, I best go get my 'fro spruced up as I'm off to a pawty tonight to celebrate my Catster pal, Rocky Ann's super sweet 16! That's why I'm wearing a Hello Kitty party hat. I look a bit glum, but that is because I've been poorly. I'm also wearing my new cupcake sweater that mum knitted for me. The cupcake has a fluffy cherry on top! Yum!

I got Sick From my Vaccinations (Probably)

I went to the vet again today. This is the third time in as many weeks. This all began when I went to get my vaccinations. I felt a bit woozy for a bit after the shots, but then I felt fine again. That is until I got a mouth ulcer and a sore on my tail. I finished my medication for my mouth ulcer and it is much better, but now I have sores on my paws, and a small sore in each ear. My fur has thinned, especially around the injection site and my skin is pink and dry. Mum couldn't get me in at the vets yesterday and she spent the day worrying about me. She gave me a bath last night thinking that I might have had an adverse reaction to the shampoo that I used the last time I had a bath, (which was around the time that I got sick). We usually use gentle products designed for little dogs, but we had a free shampoo sample from the Pet Expo and so tried it out. Yesterday we used my usual stuff and it made me feel a bit better.
Anyway, the vet noticed my sores are quite symetrical on my body. The vet said I have an immune mediated disease, and took me away to get tests done. It was very scary waiting for the results because we didn't know if my red blood cells were attacking each other. Thankfully they are not. So the vet gave me some pills that will prevent that from happening and to help heal my sores.
The vet would not and could not say if the vaccinations were the cause of all this, but the timeline does indicate toward that. Although, I have also tried a new shampoo, new treats and foods within that time. so really -who knows for sure what caused this allergic reaction? I read that the Bichon Frise Club of America recommends that vaccinations are not given together. I also read a lot of scary stories about over-vaccinating, but I understand these to be rare. However, I will not take the risk and in future will make sure my vaccinations are well spread out. My people have always understood that Bichon Frises can be prone to allergies, but as I am an allergic dog, they will have to be extra aware of my environment for the rest of my life. Good job they like babying me! Unfortunately for me, for now they are not going to give me any food other than my usual kibble and I'm limited to just one kind of biscuit treat. Gutted!
I have been doing a lot of moping, but I have been getting a bit better. I'm still not my usual self, but I got a little spring back in my step a little bit more today. I hope these pills will make me better in no time.

My super sweet Catster pal, Rocky Ann turns sweet 16 tomorrow! Tobey and I recieved the cutest "Thank you" card off her today. That really cheered up a poorly pup. The card is so cool, it has an adorable picture of Rocky Ann cuddling Hello Kitty. I totally see why my brother loves her so much, she is the sweetest cat ever. I can't wait to celebrate her birthday tomorrow. I hope I feel better for it.
Rocky Ann even sent a pink star patch in the card that Tobey just loves. He's so excited because he can put it on his new stroller. Thankyou, Rocky Ann!

I'm kind of excited that Tobey is getting a new stroller. Usually I'd get really jealous of him, but strollers are cool and I'll get to use it too. Whenever we go down to the cities, I always borrow his stroller and I love it. I like my exercise, but sometimes I enjoy being pushed, like when I get tired on long walks, or whenever we go to busy places. When we go to the Mall of America, we can shop for much longer than when mum has to carry me about on her shoulder. The stroller can carry more shopping too! BOL! Dad doesn't love it for that, but he likes it because it can carry a cooler
I especially like that Tobey is getting a new stroller because there is nothing I enjoy more than my whole pack enjoying a walk together. He is going to upgrade to a better stroller that can go on rough terrain. That's perfect for where we live as we have lots of wooded trails. I love exploring new trails, but we have to stick to the same paved trails when Tobey comes with us because the wheels on his current stroller are small and lame. This will be sweet. He totally deserves a nice present because he is the coolest brother ever.

Thank you pals, for sending me your best wishes in getting better. I really am on the road to recovery. My people are taking good care of me. I'm just a little guy and I need to be babied when I'm poorly. I'm still doing a lot of sleeping, and am not yet running around, playing and being silly. Although, I went to a party last night with my people and I enjoyed sniffing around and flirting with everyone. Even when I'm a bit poorly, I still find the energy to flirt and wag my tail. I met a new doggy who has just been rescued from the shelter. He is a gorgeous Siberian Husky called Solomon. His dad said he will get him a Dogster page soon. Yay! Sol was so cool to hang out with, we will have to go on a play date. I saw lots of my friends at the party. I saw my pal, Bowzer's daddy. Bowzer is going to be a big brother to a two-legged baby very soon. Bowzer, Sol and I should all go out together. Bowzer and I know some really cool spots where we like to go play. I also got to hang-out with my brother's Catster pal, Thomas O'Malley The other cats, and the big bunny were hiding. I got a peek at Freya, but she was being shy. Silly cat!

It is my brother's 4th birthday tomorrow. He is so excited. He was running around the house all crazy before, but I wasn't feeling in the mood to join in. I should go now and rest some more so I will feel better for my brother's big day tommorrow.

I'm feeling a lot better. I go back to the vet today for a check up and to have my blood test so I can get a passport.

I'm going to go to shopping after my vet appointment as it is my brother's birthday on April 1st. I saved up my pocket money so I could get him something nice. What do you get the cat who has everything? He has just got his own room like me, so I might see if there is something nice to go in his room. He likes famous cats, like Hello Kitty, and he likes Skelanimals, so I shall have a look and see what I can find.

I am loving my theme music on my page and was wondering apart from Scooby Doo, what other dogs have a song about them? I couldn't think of any, can you? Snoop Dogg doesn't count!

Sick Puppy

I haven't been at all well. I was moping and not eating or drinking. My breath stunk really bad and because I can't tell my people in their language what was wrong with me, I got so upset and was in so much pain that I chewed on my tail until it was sore. I went to the vet yesterday and she says I have an ulcer on my tongue. This got me nervous as she rushed me away for tests as ulcers are sometimes and indication to kidney problems. Thankfully it is just an ugly, smelly localized ulcer. I can be a dirty dog touching everything with my mouth, so I'm not sure what caused it, maybe a stick or something. The vet gave me some banana flavoured medicine, painkillers and mouthwas as well as cans of food that is mushy and easy for me to eat with a poorly gob. I still feel a bit under the weather but I know I'll be well soon and then I'll catch spring fever! Arf Arf!

I got some news that totally cheered me up!!!! My good pal, Cricket has a very talented mommy who has her own pooch portrait business. She is going to paint a portrait of me! Arrrooo!!!! Good News!

I heard the best news today! My trip to England is back on! It gets better too! Not only will I visit England, but I will be visiting the continent too! I was really upset because my people wanted to take me to England, but the UK only allows for companion animals to travel in cargo. There was no way they would let me travel that way just for a holiday, but transatlantic flights to the continent are less strict and will let me travel in the cabin under the seat, so I guess I will fly to France or Holland and get the ferry or the hovercraft over to the UK. I have to wait 6 months for blood test results from a governmnet approved vet before I can fly and I have my appointmnet for that this Wednesday. I'm dreading that. I hated how I felt the last time that I went to the vets, but I have to go through this whole rigmorol for my passport. A dog's gotta do what a dog's gotta do.

I also heard today that a family friend in England took her doggy, a Hovawart named Brogue, to compete at Crufts dog show in England. He always wins but this year was up against a champion from Germany who never loses. Well, guess what? Brogue won! Arrroooo!! This was his final year as a veteran, but because he won, he has the chance to go back next year. He won't as he is now retired. Enjoy your retirement, Brogue!

Mum says I smell like dog. I suppose that means I'm going to have a shower.

Running on the lake!

Yesterday was totally fro-alicious. I went into town with my people and at first was really fed-up because they left me in the car while they went snowboarding. There were other doggies waiting in cars for their people too. I had a pretty cool set-up with blankets and I had my Kong to keep me busy. It was a nice day too, so I was nice and comfy, but I don't like it when my people leave me. I like to go everywhere with my people and don't understand why I can't snowboard with them. Look at my main photo, you can see that I'm a good boarder! They only went for a short time, - when they go for a long-time then I stay at home with Tobey. My people were hoping to go for a couple of runs, then we were to go to the dog park for a bit, and then get some shopping done. However, I was gutted because when we got to the dog park, it was closed due to all the slush and mud. I was upset at this, but my people had the best back-up plan! ... Lake Superior is the biggest fresh water lake in the world, but this winter, it got cold enough to freeze some of it that you can actually go out on it! Lots of people were in ice-fishing huts and many others were out walking and exploring with their tw0-legged and four-legged kids. I had the bestest time running on the frozen lake. I played the game that goes, "On your marks, get set... GO!!!" and I ran and I ran! Totally fro-tastic!

Feeling 'Fro-tastic Again!

I felt a little poorly the last time that I wrote in my diary, but I'm back to my old self again. My mummy took me to Gooseberry Falls on Saturday because she knows I love it there and thought it might make me feel better to be out and about. It sure did, I had a great time! Many of the trails weren't maintained due to all the snow, but it was nice to get out there and I wagged my friendly tail at everyone who passed me. It was funny when I passed a foreign lady who was so scared of me! She was backed up against a tree saying she was afraid of dogs. The others who were with her thought it was funny that she would be scared of little ol' me! Mum said, "He's not a dog, he's a teddy bear!" and said I would never hurt anyone. I wanted to go show her I would be her friend, but mummy picked me up and carried me passed her. Everyone was laughing, but I was upset that anyone would be afraid of me!

I hated having my vaccinations, and they always make me sick. Now I don't think I will be continuing with the steps to get a passport after all. I don't think any airlines allow companion animals to travel in the cabin. We thought I would be able to sit in my carrier under the seat, like small dogs can on domestic flights, but it seems that transatlantic travel only allows animals to travel in cargo. There is no way my people will let me travel like that. It is not neccessary so we shall play it safe. I will stay with my grandma and grandpaw, which is always fun and I will be with my brother, Tobey. I will miss my people and they will miss me, but unless I can find a carrier that will allow me to travel in the cabin with my people, I will stay here.

The weather is warm, and the snow is melting. It is slushy, muddy and there are puddles everywhere. My 'fro is a state, I need a good shampoo and blow dry.

Poorly Ken

I have been feeling under the weather today because of the injections that I had yesterday. Mum called the vet who said it was normal for a little guy like me to be affected by the vaccinations. I've moped for most of the day, but I did have a little bit of doggy Irish Stew and doggy ice cream, and am a bit perkier now. I went for a little walk down the street and I took my time, but I did go peepee poopoo and also saw my little friend, Bailey. We sniffed for a bit which was nice. I'm not my usual puppy self yet, so I shall rest a little more and I know I will be right as rain in the morning and ready to start my weekend.

My Visit to the Vet's

I had to go to the vet today because I am getting a passport to travel to Europe with my people and I have to follow certain steps so that I do not have to go into quarantine. The UK has a 6 month quarantine law but now there is the special Pets Travel Scheme (PETS) that allows me to travel with my people. I am already micro-chipped so today I went for the vaccinations. I was nervous when mummy carried me into the vets office and I did not want to come out of my bag. Mum had to pick me out of my bag and I was shaking as I was so scared. It was OK though of course, and it was all over very quickly. I got lots of treats and fussings. Different girls popped in the room to see me and give me lots of puppy love. I am a bit famous because I was in the local paper and they all said they enjoyed my pampered pup video and that made me feel better!
The vet said I was a very healthy little guy and now I have to wait 3 weeks until the next step of getting my passport. The whole process will probably take about 7 months or so. I can't wait until I can travel! I wish my brother Tobey could come too but he is a cat and doesn't travel very well unless he is in his stroller. He hates cars so I'm sure he'd hate planes even more. I'm a bit nervous about flying, but I know I will have a great time visiting my family and friends and I will sniff all kinds of exciting things!

Happy St. David's Day!

There is a crazy mad blizzard happening outside right now, so I am hibernating in my cozy home until it is over. Everywhere is white, and you cannot see a thing but snow. There are 50mph winds, and I'm afraid that if I went outside to go peepee-poopoo for even a second, the wind would carry my 'fro away. Highways have been closed, snow ploughs have given up, and everywhere is closed. I hope daddy gets home from work safely.
So no more snowboarding for me, until this winter storm is over. I will keep indoors and enjoy belly-rubs galore instead!

I got a new armoire. It's just a wee one, only big enough for a few bits and pieces. I use it for my collars, scarves, leg warmers, hats and boots. It has little paws prints on it and bone-shaped handles. It's really cute.

Parts of Lake Superior in Duluth have frozen over enough that people have been out ice fishing, skating and playing with their dogs. I hope to get down there this weekend. There has even been an uncharted shipwreck found under the ice, so it would be cool to see if we can see that too!

Wednesday Woofs!

I have been enjoying all the treats that I got in my swag bag from the Pet Expo. I got all kinds of cookies, and biscuits. My treat cupboard is crammed, and mum was complaining that there is no room to fit it all in. Hey, no worries! I'll be happy to take all those yummy treats off your hands! Arf Arf!

My brother, Tobey now has his very own bedroom just like me. It is next to my bedroom, and it is really cute. He has a paw-print border, just like mine, and while I have my room decorated with Afro Kens, he has his room decorated with Hello Kitty. How Kawaii!

I got a rosette from a mystery doggy! Thank you whoever you are, -but don't worry about the "fake dog" That is old news now, and I've known who it is for a while. It's sad and weird but like one pal said, I am bound to run into the odd chuckle head from time to time!

Pet Expo

My mummy is obsessed with two things. Her furkids, and snowboarding. She spent the whole of this weekend indulging in both. Which means that MY weekend was only half good. I hate when she goes boarding as I am not allowed to go with her. So I will tell you about the good part of my weekend, which was Saturday. My people took me to the Twin Cities Pet Expo, and it was petacular! I got lots of swag, and I picked up lots of swag for my brother, Tobey. Lots of people stopped me to take my photo and I was even recognised because of the Pampered Pup contest! I felt like a celebrity! Arf Arf! I was only allowed in the Expo if I was registered to take part. There was no way my people would leave me up north for the day. So I entered the best dressed contest. It was so much fun! I came in second place! I wore my jeans and cowboy boots with a swaeter my mum knitted for me and matching 'socks' and scarf! A British Bulldog called, Grace who was a beautiful ballerina in a pink tutu came in third place. A little girl with her puglet won first place. He was a groovy little pug dressed like a disco dancer from the seventies and the best part was he wore an afro wig! His name is Mojojojo! BOL! It was also cool to take part in the little games the local rescue centres had to help them raise money. My people won me lots of goodies, and I think they had fun too!
It takes a few hours to drive down to Minneapolis so it was nice to make a pit-stop half way there at a friend's house. They have two big doggies that I sniffed. Jack is a big black doggy, and Annabelle is a young, gorgeous doberman. She was a little big and giddy for me, so I stayed near my mummy for most of the visit.
Anyway, my people have been gone all day. I had a nice time hanging out with my brother, Tobey, but I'm so glad they are home. I'm off to play!

Dogster Anniversary!

I have been on Dogster one whole year and I have a yummy cake on my page to celebrate! My brother, Tobey will be celebrating his one year Catster anniversary tomorrow. My Catster Pal, Loki is a TV Star!!

I am so very happy for my cat pal, Loki! His 15 second video was on television today. I saw him on CBS , during the commercials on Superbowl Sunday! He is a very clever cat who can talk people language, and he delivered a very important message on racism to the whole country today. I am so proud of you, Loki! Woof!

I was a daily diary pick! How cool is that!
Well, this is the last day to cast your votes in the pampered pup contest. Phew! I have had such an exciting month. I love all my pals. You guys rock!
I also hear the paper would like to do a follow up article about the contest as my community have been watching the voting very closely and are very interested in the outcome. I am the closest thing we have to a celebrity in these parts! BOL! Pups tell me I have been in newspapers state wide, as well as in Baltimore and Ohio. I think mum is going to have to get a bigger scrap book! Arf Arf!

Doggy Sweater Knitting Pattern Link

It is very easy to follow and a great pattern to start with. From this basic pattern you can add sleeves, fancy stiching and be as creative as you want. Check out their gallery for ideas too.
I don't know how to change this pattern for a bigger dog, but I'm sure the Dogsters in the knitting groups could help. Mom took a guess by adding on a few extra stitches and my sweaters fit nice. There are some great groups here on Dogster for crafty mommies who like to share their pet projects with others.

Afro Ken Fan Club!

My brother, Tobey is teasing me, saying my head is getting waaay to big for my 'fro! Why? because I have so many fans! Girl pups are throwing themselves at me! BOL! It is true, I am a very pawpular pup right now!
This is because of the pampered pup contest and because I was in the local paper. I was the main story in the paper over a week ago, but it is still the talk of the town. I have recieved pawmail from pups in the cities and other parts of MN that have seen my article too! It has even made the news in other local papers throughout the state. I get recognized in the street too! Arf Arf!
I am writing this entry to tell all my pals (and 'fans'!) that at this rate, I shall need to hire myself another typist as I am falling behind on all my pawmail and pal requests. I will get back to you all, but my mum is busy with her studies right now, and I have trouble typing all by myself.
I really appreciate all the support I am getting over this contest, and I know my pals are sharing my movie with their pals and asking for them to vote daily as well. You are all brilliant!!

Hold The Front Page!

I am front page news in my local paper!!!!
The paper wrote a piece about me being in the Pampered Pup contest, and now I am a local celebrity! Arf Arf!
They ran a huge story that continued on another page inside! They showed photos of me chilling in my bedroom, a photo of my wardrobe, me with my toys, with my people as I reclined on my little sofa, a photo of me dancing, and a photo of me in one of my beloved bags! They did make one error, though. They said I have almost 50 outfits. Ahem, I have WAY more than 50! They wrote of how I love to accessorize, and of my hats, shoes and jewelry. They made me sound petrosexual, (and there aren't many petrosexuals or even 2-legged metrosexuals in these parts!), but they also let the readers know I am also a rugged Northern Minnesotan lad who loves to go camping and swim in the lakes.
It was lots of fun! I will put it in my scrap book! Woof Woof!

Biscuit Recipe!

Some pups have asked for the recipe to make the cookies that you can see in my Pampered Pup movie. This is such an easy and delicious recipe that you should all try them! Arrroooo!!!

Dog Biscuits:
2 Cups Whole-wheat flour
1 T Baking Powder
1 C Natural peanut butter
1 C skim milk
1/2 C Regular oatmeal

preheat oven to 375F. In a large mixing bowl, mix together all ingredients until well-combined. Use a tablespoon to make the dough into balls, or use bone-shaped cookie cutters. Bake for 20 minutes.

Frosting:
3 teaspoons vanilla chips (white chocolate)
1 tablespoon vegetable powder for coloring (see below)
1 teaspoon vegetable oil

Melt the vanilla chips and add vegetable oil and colorings. Dip the tips of the cookies in the icing and place on waxed paper to dry.


Colorings
Pink Dipper - beet powder
Green - spinach powder
Yellow - turmeric

Kong Recipes!

Kong Stuffing Recipes
Kong Dog Toys are widely used and recommended for therapy and prevention of understimulation, boredom, separation anxiety and other behaviour problems.

On of the most common techniques is to stuff a Kong.

Unstuffing Kongs has become a very popular and important activity, because it can keep dogs contentedly busy for hours while they crunch up and lick out the food nuggets and tasty treats stuffed inside.

The following are recipes created by veterinarians, dog trainers and dog lovers worldwide.

BANANA RAMA
1 fresh banana
2 tbs wheat germ
1 tbs plain yogurt (can use your pet's favorite flavour as well)
Kong Toy that best fits your pet's chewing temperament
In a bowl, mash up banana. Then, add wheat germ and yogurt. Mash all ingredients together and use spoon to add to Kong. Freeze for 4 hours. Makes 1 serving for Medium Kong. Double for every Kong Size that is bigger.

CHEESY DENTAL KONG DELIGHT
3 slices of your pet's favorite cheese
Dental Kong Toy
A very simple and creative way to make any pet drool in delight. Just place the 3 slices of cheese directly onto the grooves of your pet's Dental Kong (if model has rope - make sure cheese does not get onto it). Melt in microwave for 20 to 30 seconds. Give to pet after it cools.

PHILLY STEAK
Steak scraps
1 ounce cream cheese
Appropriate Kong Toy
Place small scraps of the steak inside Kong toy. Spread cream cheese in large hole to hold scraps.

FRUIT SALAD
Apple and carrot chunks
1/4 of a banana
Appropriate Kong Toy
Place grapes, apples and carrots in Kong Toy. Mush the banana in large hole to hold fruit in place. You can include other fruits and veggies, such as, orange slices, peach and/or nectarine chunks, celery sticks, broccoli and/or cauliflower, tomato and black olive mixture.

VEGGIE KONG OMELETTE
1 egg
Your choice of shredded cheese
Any vegetables that your pet may like
Appropriate Kong Toy
Scramble egg and fold in vegetables. Put into Kong toy. Sprinkle some cheese over the top and microwave for about 20 seconds. Cool thoroughly before giving to dog.

MAC 'N CHEESE
Leftover macaroni and cheese
Small cube of Velveeta
Appropriate Kong Toy
Melt Velveeta in microwave until gooey. Add mac 'n cheese to Kong Toy. Pour heated Velveeta into Kong. Make sure it has cooled before giving to your pet.

Every dog has a favourite recipe - finding your dog's will be fun! As you create recipes, be sensitive to your dog's tummy as you experiment.

Remember: Some foods are not healthy for dogs. Check with your vet first.

Kong Stuffing Techniques

It is important for dogs to succeed at their "work". Make it easy to remove the kong stuffing at first.
As they become more experienced, you may want to make their job more challenging - here's how:

- Pack stuffing tighter.

- Wedge biscuits inside the cavity using the inside rim of the opening to secure them.

- FREEZE IT! Very Popular! Try various combinations of canned food, gravy, noodles, rice and mashed potatoes mixed with food nuggets and freeze. KONGSICLES are a favorite with many hot dogs! Put a dab of peanut butter in the small end of the Kong to plug it. Turn it upside down in a cup. Fill it full of water, chicken broth or fruit juice and freeze. Cool doggies! Kongsicles are recommended for outdoor use.

- CHEESE IT! Mix cheese pieces or cheese spread with food nuggets and microwave until cheese melts. Let it cool to a safe temperature.

NOTE - Use a cup to contain the Kong when freezing or microwaving

Happy 2007 everypup!
I had a busy new year. I hosted a pawty at my house for my human pals on the eve of new years eve, then I hosted another pawty on New Years eve. This time a bunch of doggy pals attended too! Buddha's dad came back because the weather was so bad that even an adventerous outdoorsman like him would not have fun. I hope he had more fun partying with us! I know Buddha was happy her dad returned early because she was pining for him despite my best attempts to charm her and get her to play with my toys. My pals, Simon and Tadpole came too! Tadpole was a crazy pawty animal! Arf Arf!

Happy Dogmanay!

I pawtied hard last night with my pal, Buddha who was visiting from Oregon. She's a big dog, and in her senior years, but she is very sweet and lots of fun to play with. She loves belly rubs just like me! We were supposed to go for a long hike up the shore this morning, but it is raining cats and dogs outside. Not fair! I want the snow to return!
I'm very excited because my people are going to be dog-sitting Buddha while her dad goes camping in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. I need to get myself ready because she will be here soon! Yay!

Super Fro-alicious!

I am waiting for my people to hurry up and get the coffee brewed so we can go for walkies to the lake. It looks very pretty outside because it snowed yesterday. I love playing in the snow!
Then I will drive into town with my people and run some errands. I like being carried in my bag when we go shopping. I'm good at hiding in my bag and no one has any clue that there is a little dog inside! BOL!
If they go snowboarding for a few runs, which they usually do, I will curl up in my car seat and keep busy with my Kong until they return. It has been warm enough for me to stay in the car and the cool thing is there is a new dog park right by the mountain, so they make sure I get plenty of exercise to tire me out first! Sometimes, they go to the pub for a couple of pints and guesss what! I go too! I go everywhere with my people. I think my people suffer more from seperation anxiety than I do!

Happy Boxing Day!

I hope all my puppy pals had a great day yesterday! I sure did. I was a very good boy because Santa Paws brought me sooooo many pressies!
I got some stairs so I can climb up to the people bed and I got lots of toys and treats. I got a peanut butter flavoured rawhide bone that is like 5 times the size of me! The best bit was Christmas dinner.-It was delicious! Then I played with my human cousins and I had so much fun!

Yappy Hour!

I went to a cool doggie party this weekend. It was a Yappy Hour event at the Millenium hotel. I was a VIPet guest in the hotel and was presented with a great little welcome swag bag! I partied a little hard at the yappy hour and was glad that I had my brother's stroller. I felt like a little prince being pushed around. I'm sure all the pretty little girl dogs thought I looked pretty cool! I was very happy to meet my little Dogster pup pal, Riley. My people had fun chatting to his people. I hope I get to pawty with him again!
Santa Paws was at the hotel and I had my photo taken with him! I told Santa Paws that I have been a very good little boy.

Let it Snow!

I love the snow! We have loads of it here and I just love to play in it. I have to wear my boots though, because my little paws get very cold otherwise.
I have just put up a new photo of me in my new sweater. My mum designed and knitted me my very own Afro Ken sweater. It even has lots of blingy stars on his 'fro. I wish I had twinkly stars on my 'fro! I'm going to wear it this weekend for a special doggie party that I am attending. I am going to a yappy hour event in the cities and I am very excited! I was going to wear my suit, but decided to dress more casual. I'm in the mood to let down my 'fro and partayyy!

My New Movie

I made a movie of my recent trip to Gooseberry Falls. I hope I get to go again in the morning.It is my favourite place to go walkies. Right now, I'm having a lazy night in with my people.

Woof Woof! I'm in the glossies!

It has been wet and cold all day and I haven't been able to play outside. This past weekend was lovely though, and I went on a really long hike at Gooseberry Falls, which is one of my most favourite places to go walkies. I wrapped up warm in a blaze orange sweater my mummy made for me because it is hunting season, and I wore my new backpack that I got for my birthday. I had a blast running and sniffing, and I went peepee against so many trees, it was the best! We even saw a big fat beaver working very hard at building his dam.

I'm also famous! I'm in the glossy magazines! There is a picture of me in the new edition of TC Dog magazine! It was taken at the parade at the Doggie Palooza. I'm also in this months Hollywood Dog magazine as a finalist in the pampered pup contest for America's Most Pampered Pup! All 12 pups are pictured and my pal, Ladra is one of them. We haven't seen the magazine yet, but I cannot wait to get my paws on a copy! We are also pictured in next months New York Dog and Wag magazines! Arrrroooo!!!

Hello November!

I had a happy Halloween, I hope all my pals did too! I went to the Howl-oween party at Petco and it was loads of fun! I saw lots of cute and funny costumes, including a kitty dressed as a spider and a British Bulldog dressed as a clown with a crazier afro than mine! The best part was every pet got a bag of treats! I got lots of treats on Halloween and I hope all my puppy pals did too!

We have snow here in Minnesota and it is getting very cold! I have my winter wardrobe ready with my warm sweaters, coats, scarves and boots. Brrr!

The Day After My Birthday!

First of all I would like to bark a big "Thanks!" to all my puppy pals who sent me birthday wishes! You pups are pawsome fur thinking of me!
I had a brilliant day! I got so many treats and toys. My mum made me a Spiderman sweater. I just put up the birthday photos of my sweater, my new swing, and me having fun at the lake. I also had a very special birthday tea! It was soooo yummy, I wish I could have a birthday every day!

Now I am looking forward to Halloween! I am going to the Howl-oween party at Petco this Saturday. I wish there were more events near me, but I know I will have a great time. I hope to see some of my puppy pals there- that would be fun! I am going to be in my pony costume. My people also said I get to choose yet another present. I love picking out my own toys! I am really looking forward to it. Arrrrooooo!!!!

The Day Before My Birthday!!

I have just been on a really long walk. I went exploring along the shore, and there were so much to see and sniff! I love climbing along rocks and running through the woods. I saw some deer, but they didn't want to play with me.

I'm getting very excited because tommorrow is my birthday! I have to go and get my 'fro groomed now so I look nice. It's a big day for me!!

My brother Tobey has the sweetest friends over on Catster. They are all having fun sending each other treats for Halloween. I've been a bit jealous cos practically every day he gets a parcel full of toys and goodies. Well, today he recieved a package from his friends, Ele' and Gimme, and they sent me treats too! I got a great elephant toy that I love! I also got some very posh desert treats that I am saving for my birthday on October 25th!! Thank you kitties for thinking of me! Tobey, of course is thrilled with all his presents. I got into trouble last week for chewing one of the mice that he got. I admit I was jealous that he got stuff when I didn't. I know that is naughty of me, especially when I get stuff all the time. After all, I just received a cool pet swing that my grandma sent all the way from England! Plus, it will be my birthday soon and I'll get loads of stuff then! I'm sorry, Tobey for being a bratty little brother!

Pet of the Month!

Yippeee! I am part of the fun group called Jacking Jacks and they chose me as their pet of the month! I am chuffed to bits. Thanks pups! Woof!

My Little Pony!

I am a little pony for halloween this year! I wore my costume today so mum could take pictures of me for my page. I love being a pony because I like to prance! I hope I get lots of treats this howl-oween!

Puppy Parade!

I had so much fun at the Doggie Palooza this weekend! I have never seen so many doggies together, it was pawsome! There was lots to see and do. Every tent that I visited had treats. I had people giving me treats, toys and fussing all day long, it was like my birthday! I thought my tail was going to fall off because I was wagging it so much!
I tried lure coursing for the first time, but I was a little distracted and did not chase the bunny too much. In fact I had to go to the toilet, so I went right there in the middle of the field! My people played games to win me prizes and won me a squeaky pink elephant! The best part was the parade because I won first place! The theme was 'jet set pets' and so I was 'Lord Afro Ken' riding in my brother's stroller which was decorated to look like a London bus. My mum's a Brit and had lots of Union Jack flags to wave and my dad was a sport in his England football shirt and he even wore a bobby helmet! It was silly, but lots of fun!
After the palooza we went to visit my friends, Simon and Tadpole. Tadpole is the noisiest dog I know! Their mom was having a people party, so I pawtied with Simon and Tadpole.
Now I am thinking about my birthday, which is on October 25, and I will be 3! I hope I have a pawty! I know I have a halloween pawty coming up, but that doesn't count!

Doggie Palooza!

I came back from the groomers today looking gorgeous! I was definately due to see my girl, Felicia, and as always she made me look like a little JR with a killer afro! I got a bit messy this week, because we had lots of rain, and I did a long walk for CF when it was raining cats and dogs! I was dressed in a new raincoat, which got lots of laughs! I thought I looked cool, not funny! Anyway, I'm all set for this weekend because I am in a parade at the Doggie Palooza! I can't wait because this is a special day out just for dogs, and it is to raise money for Animal Ark no-kill shelter against the fight against puppy mills and overpopulation. After a full day of doggie fun, I get to have a sleep over at my friends, Simon and Tadpole! I like Tadpole, but Simon has some issues. They have loads of toys as well! I cannot wait! Arrroooooo!!!!

My Jolly Holiday!

I went on holiday with my brother, Tobey, to our grandma and grand-paws house. Tobey was being a scaredy cat on the car ride but was in a better mood once we had arrived. We had fun together. We played with children and did lots of exploring. I played with my friend, Bear Bear. After a few days, I was happy when my mummy and daddy came to pick us up and take us back home because I missed them.

Some pup (or kitty pal?) gave me a rosette saying "Most adorable dog award!" I am thrilled at this anonymous award! Thank you my mystery rosette giver!

Doggy Paddle

I went on my walk to the lake and played on the beaches. I climbed over rocks with my people, but then my daddy climbed up a steep area that I could not climb. The only way to get to him was to swim across! So I did the doggy paddle and when I climbed out my people were so proud of me and I got lots of praise. Now my hair is a mess and I need a wash and blow dry, but I had loads of fun!

Sunny Day!

The weather was nicer today and so I took my ball to my field to play. My people played fetch with me and we played the game that goes, "On your marks, get set, GO!" That's a fun game because I always win! Now I'm cream crackered so will go take a nap!

Rain, rain go away!

It's boring when it rains because I have to stay in. I played with my toys for a bit but mostly I moped. Tobey was catnapping for most of the day and did not want to play. So, after a while my mum was fed up of me having a face like a wet weekend and so took me for a walk. I was beginning to wish I never bothered! I did not get to go to my beach, run along the lake, play fetch, or run in my field. Instead I had to wear my stupid rain boots and my stupid umbrella-leash contraption. Well, we went for a short walk and I went peepeepoopoo and got a yummy treat so it all turned out allright. When I got back Tobey was ready to play. I think he was a bit gutted that he could not come with us, but his stroller is not weather-proof. We played for a bit and now I'm ready to cuddle with my mummy. Hope all my pals had a fun weekend!

My First Entry

Yesterday, my mummy got Dogster Plus for me so we can have even more fun! We love it! I already added more photos of me. There are a few pictures of me modelling some of my clothes, (like the little teddy bear that she thinks I am), but I prefer the photos of me loving my very pampered life as a DOG! I love to play and run along beaches and, although I recently learnt how to swim, I love nothing more than bathing in the cool lake on a hot summers day ~BLISS!
I may be little and cute, but I'm no soft-lad. I'm quite the outdoors man who loves rambling through the woods and go camping. I went camping again just the other weekend and that is when I swam for the first time. My people were so proud of me! We went canoeing down the river and I had a wonderful time. I also made friends with some big dogs and had a little summer romance with a cute little pup named Peanut!
So, because lately my brother, Tobey, and I have been getting a bit more involved on Dogster and Catster, we can have even more fun now that we have Dogster Plus. We had fun playing around with the pages and we put up a mad Afro Ken video! Mum wants to say a big thankyou to Tobey's friends for their help! Toulouse is right- it is addictive!
