Arrival Story:
Her brother Cody is growing old and we wanted him to have a pal after he moved in with his Dad and Dad's girlfriend(now Mom) to a house from an apartment. Petfinder.com was the ticket. I took Cody to the Friends of Linden Animal Shelter and we hit it off right away. She was the perfect mellow older girl we had to have her, me and Cody. At first Dad was not convinced especially after she gave Cody the snarl for taking her treat. But now, Dad's the one that gets the snuggle in bed and the mouse eyes when she wants something. He's convinced and smitten.
Bio:
We don't know how old Mona is but she has the sweetness and the disposition of a little bit stubborn, old lady. She's my treasure. She's not a demonstrative dog and mostly doesn't let on how smart she really is. Every once in awhile she lets me know, I got ya Mom! She had a hematoma in her left ear somewhere in her life, which we know nothing about. Thats why one ear is permanently folded over. She was found as a stray in the City of Linden, NJ.
We lost our Mona on February 3rd, 2009. She was so very ill and I waited until she looked at me that way. She did and I let her go. I miss the devotion, the calmness, the beloved sweetness that was my Mona....every day. Rest in peace my dear.

See, I love the snow, but I hate to go outside without Mom. She doesn't mind snow, but she has to put on all that stuff to do it. It's ok, I stick my nose in and root around in the snow with glee and she laughs. I alsolike the part where I get a rub-down with the towel! OOOO nice!

This guy's a nut! He's too much, carries on all night when he's feeling sick and then jumps around on me when Mom comes home to take us for a walk.
The nerve.
I miss Mom and Dad all day but I know they are coming home.....soon.
All I want is a nice treat and a little kiss and hug. Mom does it all the time, still, never enough!
That's how I'd have it; all dogs everywhere, constantly petted. AHHHH.
