Arrival Story:
We had always wanted a golden and when we finally got a house we decided to rescue one. Annie was found as a stray just before Christmas with a frayed rope around her neck that she had chewed through to freedom. It quickly became apparent that Annie had been horribly abused by her previous owners and most likely spent her entire life tied up outside. She would cower and start to shake when anyone approached her. Annie needed a special home, and luckily, she picked us. Annie was not what most people would consider a "normal" dog, she didn't play with toys or crave attention. Over time she grew close to us and trusted us. She would follow you around everywhere and she hated to be alone. She had a very bad time with thunderstorms, but despite all of this, she was the best dog in the world because she was ours.
Bio:
Only 9 months after Annie came to live with us our vet discovered that she had cancer. She past away within a week. She is dearly missed, and although she is no longer with us, she is and always will be the queen of everthing.
