I had a hard day yesterday. Everything was fine when I woke up. It was a nice day and mommy took me for a ride in the van. But, it all went horrably wrong when we pulled up to the vet's office. Don't get me wrong, he is a nice guy and all, it is just that every time I see him, I come home with stitches. Sure enough, I took a little nap and when I woke up I had stitches again. Mommy told me that my hernia had come back so we had to fix it again. She says she is sorry I had to have 3 surgeries in my little 6 month lifespan, but that it is for my own good. The doctor told her that I have to spend 2 whole days in my crate so my stitches don't pop. So here I am watching Emily kick a soccer ball and I can't go play with her. sigh. Oh well, mommy is making sure that I have plenty of treats to make up for it. She says tomorrow will be another day and I will feel better. I hope so.

Hi, my name is Zeke. I just turned 5 months old. I was born on a farm in Oregon and I don't have any brothers or sisters. My breeder didn't even know I was coming, but that is okay cuz my doggie mom did a good job of taking care of me. She cleaned me up fed me, and even disposed of my umbilical cord. Unfortunatley, she might have pulled too hard on it cuz I got a pretty bad hernia. A few weeks after I was born, some people took me to their house and named me Morgan. They didn't really play with me very much and I was able to get into a lot of things I shouldn't have. They didn't keep me long, my breeder came to get me cuz the other people wouldn't pay her. I guess they didn't think I was worth a lotta money, but that was okay cuz I got to spend some more time with my doggie mom. There were lots of new puppies when we got back to the farm, but I was too big to play with them so I got locked up in a pickup truck a lot. One day a nice family from the city came to see all of the little puppies, I had to stay locked up. But the man saw me and he thought I was the cutest one. He wanted to take me, but my breeder said no. She wanted a lot of money for me. I was sad cuz he was so nice to me. They picked out a different puppy and said they would be back in a few weeks to get him. A lot of other people came to see the puppies, but no one wanted me. The nice man even brought his family back to play with the puppy they named Two-Spot. Their little girl had a dalmation coat on and I was playing with her coat. The man and his wife talked to my breeder about getting me, but she said no and they left without me again. A few weeks later, my breeder put me in her car and we went for a long ride. I saw a doctor who poked at my hernia and said it wasn't good. I was sure I would have to go back to the farm and live in the cold barn, but my breeder took me to a brand new house. The nice man and ladie were there, they were just moving in. My breeder told them that a different family wanted Two-Spot and I was the only puppy left. She said I could live with them for the same price. The nice lady said she thought I was beautiful and the man said I was worth a lot more and that made me happy. They gave me my first toy, a kong. They put a collar on me, and gave me a nice crate so I could sleep inside! About 6 weeks ago I woke up and had a big pink ball on my eye. No matter what I did, it wouldn't go away. My mom took me to the doctor right away and he said that I needed to have it cut out. He also told my mommy that I shouldn't ever have a girlfriend or make babies and that my hernia was really serious and needed fixed right away. My mom was very sad and gave me lots of extra love. She took me back to the doctor and I took a nap. When I woke up I was really sore, but I could see again! I love my family, I have a 3 year old human sister, Emily that I like to take naps with. She pets me, and even feeds me sometimes. My human mommy says I get to have a little brother soon who will grow up to play fetch with me and give me even more snuggles. I can't wait to meet him. I will be the best big brother and protect both my siblings from danger. I was born an only pup, but now I have the perfect family.
