Sago Palms are BAD!!!

Just a quick warning to my doggie pals...I just got out of the hospital where the doctors poked and prodded me constantly for days after I ate a teeny little piece of bark from a Sago Palm tree (actually I was just playing with a baby from the Sago (my mom called it a bulb) and must have swallowed a little piece. Anyway, I was sooooo sick! My Mom did not know they were so toxic - neither did I! The doctor told my Mom I might die but eventually I got better. I'm still eating Rx food (I love it - but it's not worth the hospital visit so don't eat a Sago just tyo get the yummy food) and taking liver supplements so I'll stay healthy and my Mom says I hafta go back and get more blood work (yuck! more needles! :-( next week and every month for a few months, but I'm feeling like my old self again and hoping that I'll stay healthy for a long time. I definitely won't eat any more Sago Palms...and you should spread the word to all our other pals to stay away from them - those things are BAD!

My new doggles

Just got some really cool new Doggles shades since my Mom and Dad worry about my eyes being exposed to the sun so much. I have both a pair of wire rims and black horn rims ("red baron" style goggles). We just got home from a really fun weekend at the beach. There were lots of other kids there and I played and ran and chased little fishies and surfed some really radical waves. I got to hang out with both my Daddy and my Pop-Pop for Father's Day (Mom and Gram too). Now I'm really tired, so I think I'll (you guessed it) take a long nap. And for my next big adventure I'll be even MORE of a stud AND my eyes will be protected! (wag-wag) Aren't they cool?! (tip for furry faces - I like the wire rims better for practical use b/c the goggles push my hair into my eyes too much - I think they'd be better for shorter hair dog-kids. Get 'em at doggles.com).

My recent vacation adventures

I just got back from a really fun vacation at Fort DeSoto park, an island off the southern tip of St. Pete, FL. It has a cool dog beach and dog parks where I met several friends that I ran and swam and rolled and splashed around with. It was so much fun. We went bicycling and kayaking every day. I let Mom ride my bike so she can pedal me around in my special deck seat. I like running along with Dad's bike too. Mom also paddles me all over on the front of her kayak. I surfed some big rolling waves all around the big island in beautiful crystal clear water. I'm an awesome surfer...I can hang 20 better than any dog I know! I like just chillin' as we cruise calm waters too. I fished and fished when Mom and Dad stopped to rest. I am good at chasing minnows. I catch them sometimes, but they're really fast. I'm soooooo tired now that I must go take a nap. I think I'll sleep all week after my really big adventure.

My 2nd birthday

I recently celebrated my second birthday on Nov. 4th. My Mom took me for an eight mile hike. I had fun romping through the woods. Then I got to pick out my own gift(s) at PetSmart (Mom said one, but I knew if I could carry more than one at the same time, she buy them for me). I was right. I got a stuffed cow and a squirrel. My Gram and Pop-Pop gave me a pig too. I went to a football party with lots of other kids the next day. We had lots of fun. I wore my striped polo shirt for the party. I'm really handsome in it - everyone says so.
