Buddy's an order keeper. He barks at any stranger who comes near the house. He barks at the door to alert us that Kitti wants in. No one is allowed to argue or wrestle. Everyone needs to get along. If mom yells at the cats to get off the kitchen counter, he goes after them. Sometime he gets so excited, he needs a time out. So we tell him to "go to bed". He does it reluctantly, barking at us on his way to his den. I think he's telling us off. After a few minutes, he's okay. Sometimes, we tell him we're going to "get him" and he turns to leave the room to get a toy of the the toy box by his den and returns to the living room, and try to provoke you to engage in playfulness.
In the summer, we take him to the horse stables. He loves it. When returning home, we stop at Mr G's for ice cream. We always order a doggie dish of soft serve for Buddy. Good to the last lick.
He loves agility jumps. When he wags his tail, his whole rump begins to wiggle and he's got a big smile! You could take him for ten walks a day. He'll be happy to do eleven. He brings laughter to our family. Buddy is full of life! A Merry Little Cocker!
