Arrival Story:
My mom passed away unexpectedly on January 1st, 1999. When this happened, my husband thought it was time to get a dog to help me when he was at work. When we got home, we went to a pet store that sells rescued animals. Codie was there with the rest of his litter that had been born the day after my mom died. We thought for sure that she had sent one of them down for us. There was a waiting list for them because they weren't old enough to be sold yet. We didn't think we would get one of them because the waiting list was so long. Well, there was only 1 tan puppy, and most of the waiting list wanted him. So, they called us to ask us if we still wanted one. I picked out Codie because he had a white spot on his tail and a white spot on each paw and I thought that was so cute.

Bio:
Shortly after Codie's 4th birthday, we found out he had Lymphoma. We thought he was just sick with something viral until the tests came back. We had to put him to sleep and that was one of the hardest things we've ever had to do. We miss you so much Codie, but we thank you for making sure we had Kito and Ranger to keep us feeling loved. WE LOVE YOU!!
