Favorite Toy:
anything she can growl and and throw around

Favorite Food:

Favorite Walk:

Best Tricks:
she knew how to make me feel better

Arrival Story:
Labor day weekend in 1998, we were at my inlaws. The weather was bad. Gizmo (3lbs) was on their front porch soaking wet, barking away. We took her in and no one seemed to miss her. (they bred in the area). I had her for almost 7 wonderful years

Gizmo loved to bark and thought she was as huge as any other dog.. However, Feb, 2, 2006 Gizmo was taken from me tragically. The neighbors pit bull broke a picket on the fence and came threw. Gizmo tried to run through a hole in another fence and the pit broke that picket and got her. I miss her so much that I can't stand it. My other two dogs (bigger than Giz) were fine and they can feel my loss. I cry daily and am trying hard to get the dog taken away from the people so she can't hurt my dogs, anyone elses, or my child.

As time goes by, it's easier for me to not miss Giz so much, but lately I have missed her alot. I almost called her name yesterday as Bandit was out playing. Gizmo was my baby, even before I had a real baby, Riley. She was an answer to my prayer and now she is gone. It's been almost 2 months now. I miss her alot. I have Bandit who keeps me pretty busy and the girls, but it still doesn't replace Gizmo. I can't wait til I can see her again.

I love you Giz

It's been 4 weeks since Gizmo has left me. Just got her ashes back last week and I put them in a heart shaped box for now. I still miss her alot and look for her when I come home! I'm starting to find myself saying about Bandit, that Gizmo used to do that too, and it makes it hard. I don't try to compare the two b/c they are two different dogs, but, Bandit will do some things like Gizmo used to do. Makes me smile and sad at the same time.

Riley sent a balloon up to Heaven on Sunday for Gizmo. We meant to have a treat with it but it weighed down the balloon and Riley just let it go! He keeps asking where it is and I explained to him that Gizmo is playing with it now. He doesn't understand why God doesn't send her back down with the balloon. So I've explained to him about Rainbow Bridge and that she's playing with her new friends. She also got to join Bun Bun (my moms Chihuahua who I grew up with) who passed some time ago of old age; Geronimo (my moms cat who I also grew up with) who passed just months ago from old age too; then there is Momma Kitty who was old and went off and left us; Patches was hit by a car years ago and Bullet, a lab, left us many years ago. So there is a family of it's own up there.

I'd like to find as many pictures of each animal that I can and find a way to create them in a picture together all as angels or at Rainbow Bridge. When I find those pics, I'll ask friends to help with that! I think that'd be so neat.

Anyway, bye for now.

After almost 4wks, I got Gizmo's ashes back. The certificate stated it was done 2/16/06 and she died 2/2/06! Guess things like this take time. Also, since my cousin took her to be cremated, they used his last name. :( But he is going to get the certificate changed to say Petty Family! So right now Giz's ashes are in a small heart box that my mom gave me. They actually fit!

Jeremy came home last night and he swore he saw Gizmo sitting on the couch. He then realized her ashes were there! Maybe now she is back home and can reveal herself to me! I do hear her barking sometimes though.

Til we meet again.
