Likes:
Annie's favorite thing is cuddling on the couch or bed. She loves playing with our other dog Toby who is a big black doofus (see his site). She loves to meet new people and get her belly scratched. And of course she loves going for walks.

Pet-Peeves:
Other dogs messing with her toys. She also doesnt like to get scolded for being bad (I think she used to have an abusive owner because she really cringes if I speak too firmly to her).

Favorite Toy:
Squirrels in our bird feeder. I am sure she will become a champion frisbee dog - as soon as she gets off the couch

Favorite Food:
Annie is a bit picky - she actually spits out people food. (2006 - she's gotten over this!)

Favorite Walk:
She likes going on night time walks to look for deer on the greenbelts.

Arrival Story:
I was checking out our local dog rescue (Twyla's Friends) looking for a small second dog. It was love at first sight when I saw Annie. She didnt have a foster family and had been living in a kennel for almost a year. We brought her home for a weekend trial thinking that our dog Toby would have a fit and reject her out of hand but they hit it right off. She was on our bed within 2 minutes of entering our house - she knew she had found a home at last

Bio:
On Friday, August 26, 2005 - Annie's best friend Toby passed away unexpectedly - he laid down in bed to take a nap and never woke up - he was only 6 years old. Annie seems a bit depressed and sometimes a little confused because she took so many cues from him on her behavior. We are paying lots of attention to her and I think she is starting to figure out that being an only dog is not too bad. Well it is 2006 and Annie has become quite the foster dog hostess. I bring in new fosters from Twyla's and she immediately asserts her dominance, scares them to death, then welcomes them into her home. As long as they dont try to mess with her toys she is very good with them. She has graduated to walking off leash in the park and gets along fine with other dogs as long as they willingly admit she is Queen of the World!
