Sun Sign: Quick Bio:
 Birthday: November 16th 1990
 Likes: Our family. Being petted.

Pet-Peeves: Rain.

Favorite Toy: Anything that can be thrown & retrieved.

Favorite Food: Sonic cheeseburgers (no pickle) & vanilla ice cream

Favorite Walk: Jazz on the Main Festival. Even though Spike is totally deaf now he still enjoys the annual jazz festival held on our town square. He relaxes on the shady grass, nibbles on a hot dog, slurps his ice water & grooves to the music.

Best Tricks: Playing ball, retrieving it & placing it in his food bowl & giving himself a treat.

Arrival Story: His mother, Annie, Snowdog of the Yukon, came to our house as a stray. The vet thought she had been spayed, heat cycles appeared non-existent so we never gave a thought to puppies. SURPRISE!! We awoke one morning 7 years later to find 3 beautiful black puppies. Spike Ellington was the only boy & the only one with his mother's long hair. He stayed to bring great joy to our lives.

Bio: Spike Ellington & Dad traveled in a U Haul truck from Oklahoma to Rhode Island to New York to Florida & back to Oklahoma (job transfers!!) beginning when Spike was just 6 months old. He loved the excitement & all the new sights. To this day, 15 years later, he is still a great traveler.
I have to say that Spike Ellington is paws down THE BEST DOG ever. He has the sweetest dispostion & the happiest smile. Everyone who meets Spike instantly falls in love. He has become a part of every fiber of our beings. We are so blessed to have him in our lives.

I just realized I've been at the Bridge for FOUR years already. Today is my Bridge-iversary. I wish I didn't leave mama & daddy & the kitties & hoo-man sister. But, oh my dogness, I had a very long and happy earthly life.
A couple years ago my kitty bruvver, ROY BAXTER Baxter Boy, joined me at the Bridge. He NEVER EVER liked me. And even here in the green, soft grass of the Bridge he acts pretty snooty to me. BOL. That's ok. I love him still and someday he'll come play with me.
Last October Sam LLoyd, my best fur-riend & kitty bruvver came to the Bridge. We sure are happy to be together again. We play ALOT together. And, of course, it's been wonderful to get to know my mama. She came to the Bridge when I was only 8 weeks old, so I didn't have her long. Since getting together at the Bridge I've learned she is a WILD girl. BOL. She runs around everywhere and has many friends.
I'm proud to be the son of Annie, Snowdog of the Yukon.
I see mama is a little sad tonight. Think I'll run over to the earth access window and see what I can do to cheer her up.

I hear mama wishing she had more pictures of me. SO!!! I surprised her with one.
I was very sneaky & placed it on Daddy's 'puter where he would find it. He shared it with mama & now it is my Number 1 picture on my page.
I could see mama smiling and feel her happy heart when Daddy showed her the picture.
That made me feel great!

Silly Mama! I've been hearing her miss me lately. Doesn't she know I am wif her all the time?
Guess I better stop chasing all the flutterbys and write a diary entry. Maybe that will help mama.
Since my last diary entry there's a new dog in our family. She's a boo-tiful white/yellow Lab and her name is Golda Magoo. I've heard mama tell daddy that Golda is alot like me. Well, maybe.....
Golda chews up EVERYTHING! Golda tears up LOTS of the yard! Golda whines under her breath. Golda smiles all the time. Golda is a big, happy dog who has lots of love to give and then GIVES IT!!
Yep! I guess I can see resemblances between me & Golda Magoo. Once I chewed up and made disappear an ENTIRE roll of carpet. One week it was in the basement, the next week mama looked and it was GONE! I ATE IT! That was fun!
And I used to "help" mama garden by digging holes for her. She said the holes weren't in the right places --- I say she didn't PLANT in the right places!
Did I whine under my breath? I guess I did -- dad used to say "Hush Spike. Just Hush for a minute." Sheesh! I had things to tell him. He needed to LISTEN more.
And I smiled all the time, no matter what I was (and am, ATB) a HAPPY HAPPY DOG. I was full of love and mama said I had a heart as big as all outdoors.
I had a great earthly life. I miss my mama and daddy & Scout bruvver & those pesky kitties & I know they all miss me. Life ATB isn't so bad. My dog mama is here and 2 of my kitty bruvvers. We have fun and play all the time. And when mama and daddy go to the Jazz Fest, I go wif them & I listen to the music too. I can hear it now because ATB my hearing was restored.
I hope they know I sent Golda to them specially to make them laugh.
