Arrival Story:
We had just lost our beloved 14 year old Dalmatian "Tank", and we weren't sure if we were quite ready to get another dog yet when a friend of a friend's dog had a litter of puppies. As soon as we saw them we knew that we could give one a good home. Their mother had stopped feading them and they were only drinking water when we first saw them. They were being kept outside in 90+ degree heat and really needed someone to take care of them. So of course we had room for one. She was only 5 weeks old. We were really afraid of what would become of them if they were left in these conditions. With ever bottle feeding she was getting stronger and more alert. I do think that we saved her life especially because the rest of her litter was headed to the shelter. I wish I had room for more......
