My neighbor thought she was a puppy from our dog's litter that got out of the fence, so they put her in our yard. I came home from college and found her. I thought my parents got her for me b/c she is exactly what I had been wanting. I kept her but my parents had to take her for the first six months b/c I lived in a dorm. The only way my dad would let me keep her is if I named her a good southern name--Dixie. And we've been inseparatable ever since.
