Doggie Dynamics:
not playfulvery playful

Sun Sign:
Quick Bio:

August 11th 2005

Barking, growling, biting, beating up on sister Lexi, playing with and fetching toys, eating food, trying to get food.

Getting nails trimmed, having paws wiped after being outside, being picked up when playing, when the other dogs come near her when she is having "alone time" with mom and dad

Favorite Toy:
she has just found the squeaker in her toys, so right now, anthing that squeaks, and a hairy chenile knitted slipper (makes a great tug toy with the other dogs)

Favorite Food:
You mean there is a difference in food? It's all really tasty, and it's all mine!

Favorite Walk:
Anywhere that mom and the other two are going. Don't want to be left behind!

Best Tricks:
She can now wait for her food, not touching it until given her release command.

Arrival Story:
We have two other shelties from the same breeder, and when our friend's sheltie died suddenly of liver failure, we suggested our breeder. The breeder wanted to meet her, so when her pup was ready, we drove with her to meet the breeder, and pick up her pup. The only problem was, the breeder had a few pups not spoken for, and seeing how cute our friend's pup was, we really wanted another one! Mila was the smallest pup there, and happened to be a blue merle, just the color I was looking for ( we already have a tri and a sable). So she rounded out our crew just nicely. She runs the house, and keeps the other two in line. ksealock/html.htm (our breeder)

our little Mila passed over the bridge on July 10, 2010 at the age of 4. She had liver failure and fluid in her abdomen. We don't know what the cause was. She fought hard to the end, but it was too much. We will miss our mouthy little blue baby, and can't wait until we can one day see her again. Love you Mila!

Long time no Bark!

I know it has been a long time since Mom has written in my diary, but here is an update. I know the last time I was on here, I was having some troubles. I was supposedly having "focal seizures". Now they have gone away. They slowly got less and less until I stopped doing them, which confirms Mom's thoughts, that it was the Sentinel that was cause me to see my invisible little friend! Oh, but I do miss him! I guess I have to find some new friends.

We have been so busy lately, we all have classes at school. Duncan is doing Rally Excellent and Versatility classes, Lexi is doing Rally Novice and Advanced classes, and I am starting on my agility classes! I have so much fun banging the teeter (it is what we have to do before we are allowed on the teeter) and going on the wobble board, and jumping! I love the tire! And the tunnel! I LOVE IT ALL!!!!! Ok, I am calm again! Friday nights we get to have a play time after Duncan's class, with all the doggies! It is so much fun to run and bark and chase!

Everything has been good in our house lately, except for poor Duncan, but you can read about that in his diary, as it still scares me a little! Mom has bene busy with her work, and with playing soccer, and our classes, that she hadn't had time to update our diaries! So we are doing them all ourselves today!

I hope everyone had a great christmas, and new years was as much fun for you as it was for us! We had a puppy play time! There were 28 dogs at school for playtime! Bischons, shelties, aussies, a pyrenese pup, and lots and lots of border collies! Oh, and some poodles too! We had a blast. We ran and chased and play, and a lot of toys got destroyed! But it was worth it!

Have a good New Year, and may it bring lots of love, warm homes, and good food!

Can life get any worse?

Oh My. How do I explain this? Life has been pretty rough right now.

I have been in and out of the vets for what they call "focal seizures". But mom doesn't believe them, and thinks it is a bad side effect of the heartworm/flea meds (Sentinel) that we were given for when we went on holidays. The vet wants to put me on anti-seizure meds, and mom doesn't want to do that until she is sure that it is not the heartworm meds. So, I am in limbo until the end of September. Then, I will have been to the opthalmologists and mom will be sure it isn't a floater in my eyes. But also, the Sentinel should be out of my system by then.

The only thing is that I really like my invisible friend. Kids get to have them, why can't dogs? Just cause mom can't see my invisible fly friend that I keep chasing, I can, and isn't that all that matters?

And now, because of my "fly-biting" mom and dad are talking about not using me for breeding, and talking about getting me spayed. If it is what I think it is, it is not fun, for my poodle friend Rook just had that done. She did not like it. She could not play for 10 days after! It was no fun not being able to run and chase her like we always do!

So tell me.........Can life get any worse?

Dazed and Confused

Ok, so mom says that I am in heat. I don't really know what that means, but I don't like it. Duncan keeps sniffing me, and my sister Lexi, and won't leave us alone!

I didn't really know what was going on, at first. Not that I know any better now...but anyway! First, Lexi started acting funny, and Duncan kept licking the fur on her back. And then she started to smell funny. I didn't know what it was, but everyone seemed ok with it, so it must have happened before. Then, I noticed that I started to smell funny, and feel funny. Then mom was putting these funny things over my tail and on my bum (mom calls them "puppy panties"). I HATE my puppy panties. When I come in the house, I have to stand and wait while mom or dad puts these silly things on me before they will let me run and play in the house. I don't know why, but they are irritating!

I really hope this is over soon, cause I am going to rip these silly panties off soon!
