Arrival Story: One day shopping at seven mile fair flea market we walked past a dog breeder. We passed the dogs a couple times. They had kennels stacked one on top of another, all purebred puppies at hundreds of dollars each.I didnt like how they looked and felt sickened. At the edge of the tent was a play pen of six or more dogs one seemed to be awful quiet. I called my son over and said "what do you think if I said I want to take one home?" I had just fifety on me and no matter how many times I said I didnt want another dog in the house, I just had to take this little baby home. They wanted to 'get rid of the mixed pups' She was the runt of this litter, and only 6 weeks old. We had a black lab at the time and she watched this pup as if it was her own. Little did we know after having Jessi home for a couple months the flea market and the breeder were on the news. The breeder we got her from was being sued for selling sick dogs. Some people who purchased dogs from them for hundreds of dollars were dying. We were lucky, our Jessi is still alive and doing better than ever. J. Beaner ..theres always a reason for things to happen

Bio: J. Beaner, that name daddy gave me because I stole my human childrens jelly beans on the first Easter I was with them. Mom and dad saw I was chewing something and realized it was jelly beans, So I hid them after that. I had beans stuck in the carpet and and some half chewed in the couch for later. Since then daddy has been calling me "Beaner... or J. Beaner".. mom still calls me Jess, her baby.
Jessi passed away in our bed 9-9-09 surrounded by her mom and dad (human owners) It was really hard emotionally, but I wanted my baby with us, surrounded by our love and support. She had passed from pymetra -she was never spayed and it her late life somehow contracted an infection in her uterus. her last week was hard on us, she was scheduled by the vet to be spayed the morning after she passed.
