Arrival Story:
My groomer called me and asked if I knew anyone who wanted a cocker spaniel. She said that she knew some people who found one and it needed a home. I called a friend of mine and they said that they wanted him. To make a long story short, when I picked him up he was in absolutely horrible condition. He had practically no hair due to sarcoptic mange, worms, a big abscess on his butt, etc. My friends wouldn't take him because he was so sick. I dropped him off at the vet the next morning and between the groomer, the friend, the people who found him and myself, we managed to get the vet bill paid. After he grew hair I had him groomed and took him over to the friends house. They couldn't believe it was the same dog. He stayed the weekend with them because they now wanted him. I cried the entire weekend because I loved him so much, so I went back and got him. That was about 10-11 years ago.
