Arrival Story:
In December 2003 we saw Hunter's profile on Basenjirescue.org I instantly fell in love with him. We arranged for a home visit, completed the paperwork, and on April 9, 2004, we brought him home. We remain friends with his foster family. They were wonderful. Hunter was found in a shelter and had been abused. He has made great progress and is a wonderful pal. He is very smart and very funny.

Bio:
I've been enjoying the warm weather this summer! Mom has teaching me some new tricks - Sit and Down. I'm even learning to go in the crate - with a struggle. Mom is hoping I'll be in it for the day by the end of the year! We'll see. I'm not too sure about the crating situation. It may be ok for everyone else - BUT NOT ME! I'm also learning to walk on the leash. Mom is taking me and Twister on walks together. YEAH!!!! New places to visit! We like the Ft. Custer best. Lots to smell and chase.

Well, as many of you know, mom submitted my picture for 2 photo contests and WE WON! I am now famous and mom got the credit for my photo. I'm in 2 books. We just got one of them "Cutest Pets Around the Globe 2007". The 2nd book comes out in January.

Mom got 2 other photos published in 3 books. She is so excited that the first one was me! That's cuz - "I'm FAMOUS"


A TRIBUTE TO GRANDMA AND GRANDPA!

Mom tricked out my page to celebrate America, Freedom, the Marine Corp, and mostly Grandma and Grandpa.

You see, they were both Marines. Mom is real proud of them. Grandma and Grandpa are both retired, but work tirelessly for the rights of men and women vets (active and non-active). They are involved in many organizations. Grandma is actually the National President of the Women Marines Assoc. She is something else. Mom says that her parents have a worthy cause to work for - even in retirement!
