Another Birthday

Did a year pass so quickly - wow - it was fun - except when Mom brought home that other dog in September but I am kinda liking her now. My birthday is coming up this Sunday - please Mom - no more dogs for presents - but I would like a really fabulous cake. I'll let you know what happens.

Summer

Wow - I love summer. I can run around naked - at first I was embarrassed but I soon got over it. I've been getting braver this year since I got Ernie. He likes to bark at other dogs, run in the wood and the beach and sniff. I really didn't like those things when I was by myself, but now it is getting to be really cool. When we go in the car, I sit in the back seat beacause Ernie always steals Mom's lap but sometimes we both sit on Mom's lap (when I'm in the mood).
I even barked at a Great Dane one day - I felt tough. I've managed to get a get tan with out burning - I'm just a beautiful brown colour now and not that pastey white of winter (yuck - will I look like that again). I wonder if I save up my treats if I could afford a tanning salon this winter?

Ernie

It has been almost a month since Ernie arrived. It is so much fun to have a friend to play with. He sleeps more than me so I don't get to play as much as I like but I hope he grows up soon and has just as much energy as I do. It will be spring soon and I will have so much fun racing around the back yard with him. I already taught Ernie to chase squirrels. In fact, I've taught him everything he knows.

My Birthday

Today is my first birthday. Life has been good so far. I had very nice doggie parents and people parents and then was adopted as 3 month old cutie by a family who love me very much. The family had lots of friends in the house, a 14 year old cat named Kitty, a 7 year old iguana named Sydney, 5 guinea pigs of various ages (2 have died since I arrived at my new home) and 2 birds. It was lots of fun but they couldn't play tug of war, or race up and down the hall way or hide and seek in the living room, so GUESS WHAT, mommy and daddy bought me a puppy for my birthday. His name is Ernie and he is a 3 month old poodle mix. He has fur which I find really strange but other than that he is fun, fun, fun. Later today I will have my birthday party with cake and hats and more presents (but I think the presents I'm getting later are just stuffed).
Mommy will take pictures (I hope) so everybody can share in my party. I am SOOOOOO excited. Mommy says that my cake will be vanilla with vanilla icing because dogs can't have chocolate. Oh well, you can't have everything. Bye for now - WOOF WOOF.
