Boycie became very ill in the night (5/05/07) and we had to make that very sad decision to send him on his way to Rainbow Bridge. He was a very special little man. We will miss him so much.

He does not like being picked up or cuddled but he needs to be near you . He is never more than a few feet away from me --day or night--- despite his aloofness--I love him to bits ---as I know he loves me too

Poor Boycie has been diagnosed with Cushings Disease. I am getting a dab hand at looking after little dogs like this as both Boysie and Trixie had Cushings Disease. He is taking his medication well and with the promise of the warm spring and summer weather to come his future looks good.

My new mum had another little dog called Boysie so she has changed my name to BOYCIE with a C. I went to see the vet and he found that I had lots of bad teeth and they took out five. One was so bad I had an infection in my gums and nose. I felt so much better when it was sorted. Mum says I may not be quite so bad tempered now that I am not in pain anymore.
I like my new sister Patsy Pug. It is lovely and warm in my new home so much better than those kennels and I get to have an extra meal per day as Mum said I was very thin. I eat it in secret as Patsy Pug only has two meals and she is on a diet. ---------

An open letter to an elderly lady--no longer here.

I lived with my first owner for 15 years and then she died. My new Mum wrote her this letter. I think I am going to be happy here ---
Did you ever wonder if you would go before your little dog ? I expect you tried not to think about it as he rested his little head on your knee. Not wanting to wish his life away I expect you tried not to hope that he would go fractionally first! What good company Boysie must have been for you. Well you did go before him and Boysie wasn't wanted by your family----so what happened next? Chihuahua Rescue stepped in and found him a home in some kennels. They were there for him but not quite the same one to one attention and companionship that you and he shared.
I expect your little man was sad , lonely and bewildered by it all. Fate took a hand and now he lives with me. I will tell him that you loved him more than words can say-----and I will try and love him too.
He is fifteen now and when his time comes as surely it will soon to head off to Rainbow Bridge I won't mind that he will spot you first and trot happily to your side because I have a Boysie , a little red Pom waiting at the Bridge for me too.
I will just keep him safe for you while you wait-------- ---
