 Quick Bio:
Likes: Any kind of ball, chewing on anything (including sticks and large rocks), being around people, swimming!

Pet-Peeves: Being on a leash, not being played with

Favorite Toy: Any type of ball, rawhides

Favorite Food: Iams weight control, any kind of meat

Favorite Walk: Around Grandparents 11 acre property

Best Tricks: Retrieving whatever we throw into the pond

Arrival Story: His previous owner found him in a field injured (hit by a car apparently) and took him home - although she doesn't care for dogs (weird). She kept him for several years basically just feeding him and little else. My Mom found out about him and thought she might like to have him - well, she didn't after getting a look at his size. After a shave and bath (he had matts in his hair like you wouldn't believe), he was BEAUTIFUL but overweight. We "adopted" him, got his shots, etc., etc. He is now a healthy size, gets to go to the property afore mentioned and play until he's exhausted, and is pretty much always supplied with a ball!

Bio: Buddy looks just like the boykin and the american water spaniel but is heavier than most, so we assume he's not purebred. His former years must have taken a toll on him because he is extremely hyper and virtually uncontrollable when people are around - he's just so happy to be with someone. He is a very sweet dog and has the MOST gorgeous eyes! He truly chews on anything - he tears up Kong balls and anything else we give him. I've never seen anything like him!

Dad and Mom went on a short trip last weekend so I had to stay with Grandpa and Grandma. What fun I had! They took me to the "farm" and I played SO hard. Grandpa went to the pond with me and threw my ball out into the water so I could swim after it. He told Mom that he wore me out - but little do they know I could've swam all day long if they let me! Grandpa said I looked like a $10K dog because I was so beautiful with the afternoon sun hitting my shiny wet coat and bright eyes! He also said that I like being in the water more than on land ;) When can I go again?

I love these sunny cool days! Dad has bird feeders and a bird bath so I have lots of feathered company, but I don't mind them much. I do like to pee in their water from time to time, which annoys my Mom. (The birds don't seem to notice.) Mom just gave me some chicken nuggets that got cooked a little too long (oops) and a rawhide - oh I love when she spoils me!! I'm looking forward to the next time I get to go to the property, it should be within the next few weeks!

Woof! It's been nearly two years since my new family adopted me. My previous owner fed and watered me, but that's about it. My new family gives me chew toys, balls (oh, how I love my ball!), gets me groomed (I look handsome), and takes me swimming from time to time! How wonderful. I'm a bit much for my Mom to take care of so Daddy usually feeds and plays with me. I don't really mean to be so overwhelming, I just love people so much!
