On the 23rd December Zedley and other dogs and humans were having a party. Zedley keeled over with a seizure. Took him to the vet and he was given oxygen and phenobarbitone. I brought hime home with an appointment to go back to the vet on 28th December 2011.

He had 2 more grand mal seizures and lost heaps of cognitive function.

Sadly on the 2388th Dember I had to give him his wings and let him go to the Rainbow Bridge.

Be happy Zedley and have a play with Coco who is there to make you welcome.

Mum had to have an operation on her wrist, and she came out of hospital with a cast on her left arm from the fingers to the elbow. This meant that she could not use the hand, could not get it wet and could not bath me. She has been 'infirm' LOL for about 8 weeks and I am filthy and loving it LOL. Because she also could not drive she could not take me to a groomer - it has been like having an extra birthday LOL. I did hear her say to a friend that bathing would happen this week, but it is too cold at the moment, so finger crossed I can get another fews weeks of filth LOL LOL LOL

My skin

Mum has found a new shampoo for my itchy skin - it has Evening Primrose Oil in it, and it does appear to be working YAY!!!!!

Every time Mum takes in a foster dog looking for a new home I get the itchies - I guess it is stress ??? She only takes really urgent ones now - Good Mum!

This shampoo comes in two grade - vet and normal. She did one wash with vet grade and then I have have two more using normal grade, she is also putting some EPO in my evening meal, and I must say my skin is less pink, and less itchy.

I am now on an elimination diet to try and get my red skin to look lovely. Mum has stopped having foster dogs as I was getting too stressed. One of the fosters with some friends got dog-napped on Wednesday. It is a toy poodle aged 10, who is going blind and deaf. Her Mum died a couple of weeks ago, and she had been on in foster for just one week when she was taken. Fortunately she was found with some string around her neck, wandering about 10 miles from her foster home. Kind lady picked her up and called the vet, the vets' were all looking out for the wee dog and she was safely returned to her foster carers.

Heck life has been rolling up and down. I have an itchy skin, so Mum keeps changing my diet. We have an Aussie Terrier still with us waiting for a new home. Mum has gotten 5 kilos of the boy, and he is getting close to his normal weight. We get no snacks (not fair) and Mum watches what we eat and makes sure we get regular walks and runs (I love the running bit LOL). Mum's human son is expecting his first child (due over Christmas), also her neice is having her baby in September - both girls! Mum is still wrestling with workmen, can't get them to finish jobs on time, I think she gets really mad at times.

My Mum has gone round the bend. We have two fosters here, two for goodness sake what is she doing????? These two have just had their Mum put in hospital (probably forever) so Mum is looking after them until things become clearer. If their owner cannot return home and care for Amy (a mini poodle) and Alfred (Aussie Silky) they have a new home waiting for both of them together. I hearm Mum say that after these two are gone, there will be no more fosters, as I am stressing out!

I have had an ear infection with has caused my eardrum to perforate. Mum had me to the vet and they operated, now I am in pain. Mum keeps giving me pill (2 twice a day) but I am still rather flat. That foster dog Jack, is sticking right by my side, guess he knows I am off colour.

Well, she's done it again! We have yet another foster dog looking for a forever home staying with us, and I thought she was MY Mum! This guy is a little like a Parson's Terrier and he is OK (I guess). At least he is not trying to get on my Mum's knee all of the time -- that is mine! My Mum belongs to a rescue group, and she is a designated foster carer for pound dogs who would be PTS, so I guess she is really a good Mum! Well that is my vent for today.

Rats I have a Mum who is a softie!

Mum has been fostering a homeless Sheltie. Oh yes he was a lovely dog, well behaved and all that, but he wanted to be Mum's lap dog and I'm not keen on other dogs getting all the attention (that should all be mine). Any hoo, Mum has found a lovely set of parent for this guy and he has gone off to his new quarters WHOO HOO! Makes me sound a bit mean, but I really like having my Mum all to myself with the exception of Alfie, Mum's son's Weimaraner - guess he is Mum's grand-dog LOL.
