Wow, Momsy and I have been on vacation...we got home and I couldn't wait to play on Dogster! When Momsy and I checked pup mail we found out I had been tagged! Here's the scoop:

...just in case

Yep, it has been a long time since I got to hang out on Dogster with my pals--but it's because Momsy got really sick. I'll let her tell you all about it--

Hey ya pups--Bailey DID not run away, her absence was due to my recent illness. Oh how I wish I had been playing with my furbaby the last couple of months...but Bailey's typist was not playing. Here's the good, bad and ugly--the first week of February I was feeling sick and thought I had the flu, so I left work early and thought with some rest, I would feel better. That didn't happen and I put off going to the doctor (I know not smart!) for a couple of days...well, between the weakness and dehydration my condition became critical. My friends called the ambulance and off I went on a really "UGLY" adventure. I found out later that I had double pnumonia and a septic blood infection???

I spent the next 11 days in ICU, on a respirator and various courses of antibotics, because they could not control the infection and improve my overall condition--fortunately I was not aware of how close I came to going to the human "Bridge"! After another three weeks in the hospital, I am "healed", so to speak, plus I became a non-smoker--without even trying!

With the help of many prayers and modern medicine, the "GOOD" news is I am home and recovering!!!!! If you are wondering what the "BAD" part is, aside from spending almost a month in a hospital, the food sucks...part of the so-called hospital humor, hehehehehe:)

Now the aftermath of such an adventure...hospital bills, rehab and dr. appts., but something has been bugging me..."what if my dear friend didn't take care of Bailey?????" For those of us that are single pawents--have you made arrangements for your furbaby if something happens to you???? I have now, but what if my friends didn't look after her??? It would have broken my heart if I survived my illness and came home only to find my Bailey gone or worse!

Something to think about and include in your personal affairs (put it in writing, remember our furbabies are family to us--but society sees them as property (right or wrong, it's the way the law perceives them).

Ok, enough serious stuff -- Bailey wants to go outside and chase chipmunks, what a perfectly splendid idea!!

Valentine's Day is almost here and alas, no pup wants to be- my valentine...

woe is me...Valentine's Day is almost here and alas, no pup wants to be my valentine:( Momsy thinks I'm too little to be searching for a valentine, but all of the other pups are and having tons of fun---IT'S NOT FAIR!!!

So, while Momsy was napping I brought in a new computer human and put up a new main pic, now we're getting ready to start an "all out get Bailey a Valentine" campaign in the Dogster Plus threads! wahoo--so far I'm thinking of kind of a personal ad format like this:

The Great Chipmunk Adventure....

Hi ya Dogster Pals!
I thought I should write something in my diary--since it has been a really long time since I did.

In fact, I have to tell everypup about my newest, greatest adventure...
Me and the Chipmunk! Yep, there is a pesky little varmint that has been taunting me for at least a week now, ya know popping up just as I'm taking care of business...or scampering past when me and the mommy are walking in the yard.

That danged little critter is quite elusive, but I really think I'm gonna get him soon. Why you ask???? Well that's easy--chipmunks like pup food, so I'm gonna sneak some of my puppy food from the pantry and put it near the big tree out back. Then, when I go outside I'll pretend to be sniffing for a spot to go potty...then I jump on him and wrestle him until he gives up!!!!!!

This school stuff is kinda fun, but don't tell Mommy...

Ok, so maybe I was a little quick to judge this school thing--I just finished my second day of beginner class and I think I like it. I know I was a little skaret at first, ya know a bunch of new doggies and car rides. Today I was the class clown, cause I already knew how to sit and I did a special sit for teacher, plus gave her paw without even being asked...yeah, I know I'm special, heheheh!

I'm really tuckered out tonite, so I make this entry short--bedtime for baileymeister---sweet dreams and labbie licks to all and to all a goodnite!

Whew this pup needs a week off!

Wow, what a big bunch of days I have had so far this week! It started Monday with getting registered for school, then Tuesday...golly gee willikers! I was Dog of the Day...but, Mommy worked late and we almost missed it!! Thanks to all the Dogster pups for making my special day so super!!!! I wanted to say thanks to everypup by name, so if I miss somepup please forgive me :o)

Then...on Wednesday Mommy gave me a bath, uck! She said I was smelly, me DOD, phooey...then early Thursday, we went for a ride to see my buddy Dr. Carter, but he was on vacation and I had to get my last round of puppy shots by some new guy. Oh the humiliation of the exam, I showed him...left him a little gift in the corner--my stinky side, hehehehe

I think I getting big????

Mommy has really been working a bunch on this potty training thing--she thinks I should have the hang of going "potty" outside by now? Well, I guess she's the big mama and I should listen, but sometimes I forget...I'm only 41/2 months old! So today I tried really hard and guess what--yep I went a whole day without any boo-boos in my room or my ex-pen! wahoo! yep, my mommy said I'm a big girl now and I got extra biscuits. AARROOOO!!!
I'm gonna like this potty training gig. hehehehe!

it's soooo hard being a pup...

Some days I wish I were all grown up...my mommy loves me bunches, but
I sure have been hearing NO! NO! a lot. I think Mommy forgets how simply adorable I am or how soft and cuddly I am, maybe I'll remind her when she's finished cleaning up that wet spot...wonder how that got there, hhhmmm??

I'm Growing up, yeah whatever...

Wow, have I been a busy little Bailey! Whew, first Mommy made me practice my sit and she keeps saying something about giving her paw??? What's up with that, she has two of her own, why does she keep asking for one of mine?

Then, my club hit the big, really big, 100+ Baileys...go Baileys! Yep, I sure am proud to be a Bailey pup!!! I am just beside my puppy self :=)

If that wasn't enuff, I'm gonna be 3 months old on Wednesday, 2/22/06--mommy said I'm getting old enough to know better??? Better than what? I am so confused...if any of my pals has figured this puppy thing out, could you bark my way.
