Arrival Story:
There is a beautiful retreat place here south of manila called Caleruega. Going through this retreat's path one morning, my husband and I were surprised to find a dalmatian tied to his doghouse amidst all the beautiful greenery. He was skin and bones. He was blind, obviously a product of in-breeding. Beside him was a large basin full of rice and meat stock. And since he was exposed to the elements, he relied on his other instincts to survive. Not a way to treat a dog! We wondered how a beautiful place like this be so kind and welcoming to people and guests but be awfully cruel to animals! Right there and then my husband knew he needed rescuing. Since we are apartment dwellers, with a house full of dogs already, another dog is a bit too much, i told him. He asked how we could possibly leave this dog - in maybe 2 weeks he could die. My husband, a descendant of St. Francis de Assisi is the most compassionate person I have met specially when it comes to animals. He would rescue kittens and hand raise them. So we went to talk to the priest of this beautiful place and asked to donate the dog to us for him have another shot in life. His name is Jordan. He was happy to be out of that place. He now joins our family.

Bio:
Since Jordan is a rescued dog, we have no idea as to when he was born. When we got him, we were told he's probably 2yrs old. We celebrate his birthday on the day we got him.
