Arrival Story: Morgan was born six months after William by the same Mom.
We talked the breeder in parting with him although she was reluctant as he was a perfect show specimen, except for one minor issue that she thought he would outgrow. Lucky for us he did'nt and we finally got him at the age of 9 months.
However, the first time my husband laid eyes on Morgan, was when we went to a Dog Show and Morgan was handed through the truck window to my husband to take care of while I attended the show. "What is this? was my husband's reaction -" He is such a scrawny little runt!!!". One hour later after I returned to the truck there was Morgan fast asleeep in his arms and my husband said "I LOVE THIS GUY" and he came home with us that day.
Bio: Morgan is a registered purebred Sheltie, and his reg'd name is Tuxedo Royale. He came by the name Morgan after the actor
Morgan Freeman and also Morgan is a Welsh name from the British Isles. Our dogs have been named for Scotland, England, Wales, and Ireland. and Morgan is our Welshman. Morgan like is brother William achieved his CDX title this year. I am deciding whether to continue training for UD with Morgan, but my hold back is he was finding the last set of trials stressful.
So we'll see how he is during the next few months..
On July 11,2011 we had to say Goodbye to our dear Morgy.
He had been suffering from kidney disease for a few years, and in the last year arthritis, and cataracts which caused to be almost blind.
He was a brave little guy, and will be always remembered for his big heart.
Today - we were all (that is my brothers William, Patrick and my sister Bonnie was in our yard having a great time when our neighbour a Newfoundland dog decided to visit and of course we all got excited, and the Newfie decided to jump up on the gate and scare us all. Well you can imagine the "cuffofi"
we were barking and jumping and all of a sudden my paw hurt and it was bleeding bad, this all happened so quick My mom was there at that moment and yelled at us all to get back in the house. She did'nt know I was hurt so bad, but saw me limping and the floor all covered in red. She washed my paw, put some antibiotic on the hole and bandaged it very tightly to stop the bleeding. Anyways the Vet saw me right away, and I had the hole stapled and this big bandage on my paw. and some pills to make sure I don't get an infection. Fortunately my paw bones are not broken but the bite went right through to the pad and now we can't go out for walks and stuff for 2 weeks " bummer". but because I was such a good boy at the vets I got extra treats - the other problem is the back yard has been closed off to us by some temporary gate so that I dont go on the grass and get my bandages wet. My siblings ain't going to be too happy about that, when they can't get back there to chase the rabbits etc. OOPPPP's.
