Bio:
Hi, I'm Jax, but you can call me Jaxie or as my mom puts it, Jaxie Pants. Hawkeye and I are littermates, and we come from the Dallas area. We live in Austin now and we are both into flyball like our big sister and brothers, Callie and Milo and Duncan. I just love running flyball with the Dogz Rule! Flyball team! I prefer tennis balls over any toy, but I also like tuggy toys and those fun stuffed toys that I can disembowel. Destroying plush is almost as fun as a tennis ball! I also like to jump on my mom's head when she's sleeping to keep her from getting bored. In addition to flyball and plush destruction, I also enjoy swimming at Red Bud Isle. I'm a very active and affectionate boy with a talent for stealing socks, napkins, and pot holders. I also am known as the family "crooner". If I really really want something I will put my front paws on you and croon a little border collie tune. Sadly, Jax passed away suddenly in January 2007 of intestinal and mesenteric torsion. It is a rare condition that is similar to bloat/GDV that affects the intestines and the mesentery, and it is almost always fatal. To read more about intestinal and mesenteric torsion, follow this link. The first paragraph has a good explanation of the condition. We miss our Jaxie boy so much and look forward to when we can meet him again at the Bridge.
