Arrival Story:
Mandy is the most adorable , sweetest little dog but she is very shy and scared of a lot of things. When we got her she was walking a little funny on one of her back feet but we were assured that there was nothing wrong with it. As she got older she started limping so I had a Vet x-ray the leg and we found out that she had a broken hip. This broke my heart because it was an old break and it probably hurt her when she originally did it but no one ever did anything for her. We had to take her to an Orthapedic Surgeon and he said that they would have to remove the hip bone. She had to be kept very quiet for about 6 weeks after the surgery and boy, was it hard keeping a 10 week old puppy from running or playing. When she went back to the surgeon he said the best thing to keep her active and stretching out that leg would be to get her a sibling. I would like to get her a Sheltie brother over 3 years old and have been looking for the last 6 months for an older sheltie who needs a loving, forever home.
