Arrival Story:
On November 21, 2005, Molly (then Marlie) was picked up off the street by the city's Animal Services. When she was brought it, she was diagnosed with kennel cough that she was placed on meds for. Strays in this place are on hold for 5 days, and then put up for adoption for 21 days. If the dog is not adopted in 21 days, they are euthanized. On December 14, I saw Molly's picture on the Animal Services website photo gallery. She was a fuzzy little black and white ball. She was a real cutie! My mother decided to call the next day. Apparently no one had taken interest in her! To this day, I don't understand why. First of all, because she was a puppy and second of all, SHE WAS DOWN RIGHT ADORABLE! We went to look at her the following Saturday. Her picture did not do her justice. She was bouncing around like a happy-go lucky puppy. We decided to adopt her, but would wait out the worst of her kennel cough so we wouldn't put Mickey at risk. On Demember 21 (Molly's 21st day up for adoption!!), at 3:30 we went and picked her up. Molly turned out to be more energy than we anticipated, but if we've made it this far and survived holes in our walls, missing laundry, and crazy puppy stage, I think we'll make it to the end. :)
