Hurricane Katrina

We would like to Foster any dogs/cats displaced by this terrible disaster. Our prayers go out to all those affected.

Since I am a pretty goofy puppy still, although my first birthday is close at hand, I still have to get into everything. One night, about a week before Christmas, I ran out into the wood pile and tryed to impale my right front leg on a sharp stick. Dad was very calm, but Mom freaked out when she saw it and rushed me off to the vet. Turns out I did a great job, got the stick about 3 inches into my leg and broke the tip off in there. Mom was pretty mad, and said no gifts for me for Christmas. The emergency vet visit cost a bundle! SO all I got was a sticky bun; but I think they felt bad because soon after I got a new nylabone. Anyhow, Happy New Year!

Ah to be a puppy in the fall. Spent the afternoon bothering the big dog and chewing fallen pinecones to bits. Helped garden and clean up the yard by removing choice sticks from the pile and racing around madly with them until they submitted to being shredded into respectable sized splinters. Helped fetch the boy off the big yellow bus, ate some grass and chased some bugs out in the yard. The little old dog the family is looking after only grumbled in Ralph's direction once or twice. Managed to get through the day without hearing "Ralphie! Drop it! Leave it! Raphie NO NO NO!". All in all, a very good day!
