 Quick Bio:
 Birthday: October 12th 2001
Likes: She loves food but not vegetables. She also loves car rides that are less than 2 hours, playing fetch, running at full speed during a nice day, sleeping by heaters, belly rubs and butt scratches and lots of affection!

Pet-Peeves: Roxy hates not being the alpha dog. She'll pick fights with anything bigger than her so they know who is boss. She also hates it when her brother pounces her when she is napping.

Favorite Toy: Roxy loves rawhides, cow bones and any toy she can rip to shreds

Favorite Food: She loves a good piece of steak or chicken.

Favorite Walk: She doesn't get walked all that often because we have a big backyard and when she's not at home, she enjoys lakes, pools, the beach and large fields.

Best Tricks: She can shake with either paw, depending on the hand you have out. She will also lay on her back when you say "belly rub".

Arrival Story: My dad got my sisters and I, Roxy for Christmas in 2001. When I was getting ready to move out to Seattle two years ago (I am from Northern Virginia), he knew she would be happier running around with other dogs in wide open places so she moved across the country with my boyfriend and I. Since then, her life has been large bodies of water, other dogs to run with and spoiled with lots of love, affection and treats!

Sigh. It's the same thing everyday. Sleep on the bed, someone kicks me and I move to the floor to sleep on my dog bed, wake up, see my parents still sleeping and go back to sleep. Then the alarm goes off... it's TREAT TIME!!!! My mom rolls over as I greet her with my cold wet nose - it helps to get her out of bed. I get so excited that I promptly sit in front of the bedroom door to show I have business I need to take care of. Me and my brother race upstairs and sit as still as we can while the treat jar opens and each of us get one milkbone. Once business is done, I retreat back downstairs to mom's side of the bed and curl up on her pillow - it's still warm and smells like her shampoo. I sleep until my dad wakes up. He usually sleeps until 11am, which is fine because I can sleep allll day with no problem! Once he's up, he lets me into the backyard with my brother and we play outside for a few minutes until the rain has soaked us and then we come back in, with muddy paws, which we promptly track around the house until they aren't dirty anymore. Why would we want to be any dirtier than anyone else?
My dad usually grumbles but I know he secretly thinks it's funny that it gives my mom one more thing to clean up. After that, my brother and I play with our toys until about 5pm. Then it's DINNER TIME!!!! This is usually when our parents think they are being loved by us... my brother and I usually start nudging our parents and licking them, tricking them into feeding us. I heard my mom say, "It's their signal that it's dinner time". Drat, I think they have caught on.
Dinner time is usually a big event. It causes me to bark so loud because I just don't think they are fast enough at serving my brother and I. Max (my brother) usually drools alot. He is sort of out of control so my mom or dad has to tell him to "stay" in order to make sure he doesn't knock his food over. Once it's dinner time, it's pretty quiet for the whole minute it takes me to eat. Then I have to sniff Max's bowl. After all, what if he left something behind?
After dinner, my mom comes home and we get so excited because we know if we love her enough, she will give us ANOTHER treat! Usually she does and then I take a nap until she has made her and dad's dinner. It's back to work! My brother and I are the designated floor and dish washers. Anything that gets dropped doesn't get a second to land. We guard my mom when she carries dinner to the table... what if something hits the floor then? I don't want her to have to bend down and clean it up! My brother still hasn't figured out you can't walk in front of her because if he does, he sometimes almost trips her. Wait... wow... he's really smart... if he trips her, the food falls on the floor and then WE get it. I guess I like the rug rat.
After they are done with dinner, my parents usually go downstairs to watch a movie. I don't like loud noises so I sleep by the heater in the office while makes sleeps with them. When the movie is over, I come back downstairs and we all go to sleep!
