I was the only puppy left and mom and dad wanted to make sure they would get me. We all ended up getting home around 2:30am and mom had to wake up to go to work at 7am..so she didn't get much sleep that day. Since I've arrived at my home, we've had nothing but fun and I love all my brothers and sisters! Oh my...where did all my hair go? Mommy and daddy decided I needed to get a haircut. They said something along the lines of not being able to keep up with the matting. I guess with the winter coming, my undercoat is growing in and matting up like crazy...so out came the scissors and the clippers and off with my hair!
I do have to say, I did rather enjoy having the haircut, and felt so free and ran around like crazy afterwards. Mom will have to get a good picture of me without me being surrounded by my hair. I did not enjoy the bath after the haircut though. I just wanted out to run and play.
Oh..and my haircut caused mom to go into a terrible allergy attack...my poor mom. All the inhaled hair I guess would cause that problem!
At least I won't have snowballs stuck to all my hair this winter and....I'm sure I will be able to get some new outfits out of this!!!
On Sunday mommy and daddy and two of their friends all went to the Yellow Breeches creek and floating down the creek on tubes! I stayed on mommy's for most of the time. I have to say that I wasn't too happy with mommy at first. She made me swim! The water was cold...but...I was hot. Anyways, the trip took us almost 5 hours and we got to see lots of nature. It was fun. We also got to see lots of canoers and kayakers and other people on tubes going down the creek. I got lots of "awes" and everybody said hello to me. Daddy found a pretty find flower at the beginning of the tubing trip and put it in my hair...we just wish we would have brought the camera!
Then again...it's good we didn't bring the camera. Mommy and daddy's cell phone and their friend's cell phone got destroyed in the water. They couldn't revive them at all. Oooopsies!
I told mommy and daddy that next time we go we need to bring the camera AND plastic ziploc baggies so nothing gets ruined. I demand my picture be taken floating down the river so everybody can see how much fun I was having!!
Yesterday I got to complete in the 4th Annual Doggie Drag Show up in Harrisburg. Mommy put me in jeans and a shirt that said "Stray Dog". The jeans had black suspenders and the whole outfit was "punkish" as mommy put it. So, she decided to give me a mohawk. Well..the mohawk stuff she put in my hair didn't work really well, so the mohawk fell down really easy..but that was okay.
There was so many doggies there! I got lots of lovin' by all the people. They also kept saying how soft my fur was. It was fuN!
There were 4 different categories and I was put into "Butch Babe" which is where the girl doggies dress up like boys. I actually won 3rd place too and got a little bag with a few goodies in it!
