Why Me?!

I don't understand why mommy insists on taking me for walks. I don't like them! I mean doesn't she understand that when I take a seat in the middle of the road and just stare at her that I don't wan to go anywhere. When we leave the comfort of the yard there are big doggie in the neighbors' yards that bark at me and scare me. Why can't we just play ball in the yard?

A Day in the Life of an Avid Reader

It wasn't really my fault. Mommy left me to my own devices today while she went to her classes and I got bored! She won't leave me out in the house because my big brother, Leo the kitty kat is bigger than I am and he sometimes confuses me for a mouse. I don't complain because my room is nice and has all kinds of toys to play with and things to explore. Well, today I came across this really tall thing that I've heard mommy call a bookshelf. She reads a lot of books, so it's really full. Like I mentioned before, I was bored, so I decided to see if there was a book I might like to try out. I finally found one that I could really sink my teeth into! I got very excited about the material, and by the time that mommy came home I had devoured a good portion of the novel. Who could have known that my favorite book was the same as mommy's? All I know is that The Heart of Darkness sure tasted good, and I would like to reiterate, IT WASN"T MY FAULT!
