Arrival Story:
A friend and I wanted to move out together, and both being dog lovers we wanted a dog. We knew we didnt want to buy one from the store, so we did an extensive search on rescues. The rescue was located in Riverside. About an hour and a half away. Well it turned out we werent moving out together, but my friend has already set the appointment and it was too last minute to cancel. So she went anyway, intending on seeing the dog and coming back with no dog in hand. We werent allowed to have dogs where we lived, at the time, we lived in a sorority house where rules like that were strict. Well I cant blame her but she returned with the dog, and we had to keep him. We named him Diesel, and we snuck him and hid him in the house for several months in my room, until I finally moved out by myself, and was able to give him and myself a better home. Then I got him a cat!

Bio:
His name used to be Rusty. Thats what his owners before named him. They were this retired couple, who all of sudden a year later after raising him, got sick and had to be sent to retirement homes. They had to send Rusty off for adoption along with their black lab. Noone would give this dog up voluntarily. When I got him, the first thing I had to do was change his name. His name is after Diesel Jeans, not after Vin nor propane. He also likes brand names, and does not eat crumbs.
