Brandy's grandmother and grandfather went out to the pet store that was going out of business...always had to get cheap fish food if they could. And that is where they first saw Brandy. He was an older puppy - matted and dirty and definitely not well taken care of in the store. Since the store was closing, Brandy's grandma asked the store workers what would happen to the animals?!?! The store clerk told her that the young puppies would go back to the breeder...but he didn't know what was going to happen to Brandy. Well, they left the store and although she felt bad about the dog, she swore my father (Brandy's grandfather) to secrecy. She made sure that he understood not to say a word about the lonely puppy that may have no chance for a future.
Well, the first thing my father did when he got home was to tell me about the poor little puppy that was destined for uncertainty! And I (Brandy's mother) and the rest of the gang went back to the pet store and took Brandy home.
Corky was definitely not interested in having a new brother around the house, but he has tolerated him pretty well over the years. And he has been part of our family ever since!

So grandmom just found out why I have been peeing all over the house for the past few weeks! I have diabetes. The vet said my sugar level was in the 500s - that is way higher than it should be.
So I have been at the hospital for almost 3 days now. I missed being home! But now mom and her friend know how to give me my insulin. I can't believe that now Corky and I are going to have to eat separately - we have always shared our food. Now grandma has to separate us and make us eat 2x a day. We used to just pick at our bowl cause it always had food in it! Geez. Anyways, hopefully we can get this all under control!
