"I just tagged you in Christmas tag! You need to write five wishes to Santapaws in your diary, then give five bones to the doggy who tagged you, then tag five other doggies. Merry Christmas!"

1. I wish that Mommy and Daddy would win the lottery so they wouldn't have to leave me every day to go to work.

2. I wish that I could figure out how to go pee pee in the center of the wee wee pad so that it doesn't trickle off the side and upset everyone.

3. I wish for more helpings of wet food. Every dog worth his salt loves wet food!

4. I wish for more trips to the park where I can fun free and sniff lots of stuff.

5. But most of all, I wish for more TREATS for everyone!!!!!! Did someone say TREAT? Where are the TREATS????

Here are the rules: each player starts with 7 random facts about themselves. Dogs who are tagged need to post in their diaries "the rules" and their "7 Pawsome Facts."

Then choose 7 dogs to tag and list their names. Don't forget to bark them a pmail that they have been tagged and tell them to read your Diary, or send them a fun Rosette announcing they've been tagged!!

7 Pawsome Facts About Me:
1. Mom and Dad like to make up silly songs about my chubby rolls all the time. It's really degrading.
2. I like to lick the couch from time to time.
3. I see dead people! I often like to growl at a random corner of the room.
4. I can't walk in a straight line. I like to constantly walk in circles and tie Mom or Dad up with my leash.
5. I hate when Mom dresses me funny! I prefer to be a nudist.
6. I don't like to get locked in the kitchen. I try to run away and hide when I see Mom and Dad getting ready to go out.
7. I love Mommy most!

7 Pals I've tagged:
1. Brutus (Mr. Pants) - The man with many faces!
2. Zoey - The princess pug!
3. Wheezer - A man who knows how to take charge in a car!
4. Shay - The girl that stole my heart. I never see her anymore!
5. Elliot Jay - The wise sage pug.
6. Coleman - The fury fishy!
7. Winnifred WigglePants - The diva pug.

My Three Brushes With Death

My Mommy took me on a special trip to my Aunt Daria's house on Saturday. I've only been there once before, but I LOVED it because it's the place where I learned how to swim. Of course, nobody was ready for me to swim that day! The inground pool wasn't up and running just yet. The water was still black and murky. That didn't stop me! I jumped right in to everyone's horror! Luckily, my little head popped up and I started doing the doggie paddle. The rest of the day was spent trying to keep me from jumping in again.

Since that day, Mommy has been dying to take me back to Aunt Daria's for a proper swim. We finally got a day all set and Mommy packed up the car, threw me in the back seat, and started on our hour trip to Aunt Daria's house for fun and refreshment. We weren't too far into our trip when Mommy started to notice the signs. I was dying! The air conditioner in Mommy's car was not working properly and I just couldn't take the heat. I had my head lying on the armrest in between the two front seats and my tongue was hanging out. Mommy was so scared and not sure what to do. She was on a highway and didn't have too many options. She decided to pull into a gas station and ran into the store to buy me some water. She bought a big bottle and doused me with it. She then filled up what the cup holder in the back seat with water. That was a good idea. I took a long drink. I was starting to look better, but I still wasn't completely back to normal and the car just wasn't cooling down. Mommy drove a little further, but continued to look back at me the whole way to see how I was doing. I was lethargic, but hanging in there. She then pulled the car into the shoulder, reached back to get me, and held me in front of the vents for a while. The air wasn't really cold, but it felt good all the same. That was another good idea. Once Mommy thought I was cool enough, she put me back in the back seat and continued on her way. She was a little more than halfway there at that point, so she decided to put the petal to the metal! We finally got to Aunt Daria's house and Mommy breathed a sigh of relief. She was so scared!

Mommy started to relax once we got inside the cool house. She set out a bowl of water for me and changed into her bathing suit. She couldn't wait to get me in the pool!

A few minutes later, Mommy and I walked over to the pool. I was a little unsure about that place. I love bath-time, but this was a bit different. I inspected the perimeter for a while and then I decided to hop in. I went under at first and then my little head popped up while I doggie paddled. Thank goodness, my Aunt Heather was there to help me! Mommy came rushing over and then scooped me up. She then went back into the deep water with me. She would let me go for a few seconds at at time to watch me swim, but she saw that I wasn't having too much fun so she didn't leave me for long. Aunt Daria brought a raft over. They decided to put me on the raft and push me around. I wasn't sure what to make of the raft. It wasn't very stable, but it was better than sinking in the deep water, so I endured it. Mommy and Aunt Daria snapped a bunch of pictures of me on the raft. They thought it was cute or something. I didn't think it was very funny! Eventually, Mommy let me out of the pool. Here and there, she would try to coax me back in, but I wanted nothing to do with it, THANK YOU!

Later that night, they decided to take me for a walk through a little beach town. Didn't they know that I was completely exhausted? It was a big day for me! We walked around for about 30 minutes when they noticed that I was panting hard again. That Mommy really needs to be more considerate of me! Luckily, she redeemed herself by scooping me up and getting me into Aunt Daria's car. The AC in Aunt Daria's car actually works, so I perked up pretty quickly.

I have spent the last two days trying to recover from all of these brushes with death. I am completely exhausted. I have been walking around in a daze and haven't been especially interested in food or playing. I still like TREATS, I'm not crazy or anything! I just don't scarf down my food like I normally do. I few runs at fetch has been more than enough. I really need to get my rest! It was a long weekend!

A Southern Ode to Roscoe (Bless His Heart)...

I have many fans! My southern Aunt Jennifer was also inspired by me. I'm such a muse! Here is her poem. I'm not so sure I like the FAT BOY comment!

Roscoe is a little ham,
who stole his mommas heart.
She chases him around the den
and screams "Don't get smart!"

He prances around in his jean jacket,
ready to go outside.
But as soon as the bigger dogs come to play,
He loves to go and hide!

He jumps around when mommy comes home.
It's time for his favorite treat.
He gets to run and jump outside
And then fat boy gets to EAT!

Roscoe Reznik is his name,
with a stuffed squirrel toy.
He may be his momma's pup,
but he's also Anthony's boy!!!!

Mean, Mean Aunt Christine!

My Aunt Christine is so mean to me! She actually finds joy in insulting me. She's now writing insulting poetry to me. Here is her latest piece of work...

ODE TO ROSCOE
You are fat.
And that's that.
Keep your butt of my face.
Or I will spray you with mace.
I must admit you are cute.
But you are too fat to wear a suit.

Do I really need to take this?

The Heat is On!

I can't take it! Our air conditioner broke and it's getting HOT! Ugh! I'm panting up a storm. Mommy and Daddy rushed out and bought a few fans to try to keep me cool. Luckily, a storm blew in to town and cooled things off a bit at night. That, at least, made it a little bearable. Now the sun is back up and the temperature is rising! HELP!

Daddy called the repairman yesterday, but we had to wait a WHOLE DAY for him to come. DON'T THEY KNOW I CAN BE DEAD BY THEN? I have to give Mommy credit. She has given me lots of ice cubes and even ran a bath for me. I love the bath! I especially loved it today! I jumped right in and stood right under the shower stream. Ahhhhhhhhhhh! So refreshing!

Then, it was out of the tub and around the house like a race track! I love running around when I'm soaked! It's the best. Mommy likes to tell me that I'm a smelly, wet dog while I'm running around, but I don't care. It's so much fun!

I'm starting to dry off now though, so I hope that PSE&G guy gets here soon! I'm waiting...I don't hear any doorbells...

Top Dog!

Today is a special day! FLOP just made me the FEATURED PUG! I didn't even know we had a featured pug, but here I am THE featured pug! Whoo hoo! I'm going to celebrate! Bring on the treats! Get me some of those little hamburgers and chicken chips! Get out your kongs and your favorite noisy toys! It's a party! But first, there is something I'd like to say...

I'd like to take this time to thank all of you for making this possible. Without you...the little people...I could never have gotten to where I am today. You are all winners in my book. But really, who is reading my book? I'm just a little doggie. Nevertheless, I'd like to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I'd like to give a special thanks to a few special people that have made a difference in my life.

I'd like to thank my birth mother Birthday Surprise (Candy to her friends) and my birth father Tiny Tim. Even though you never call me, there is no denying that without you, I would not exist.

I'd like to thank my breeder Nina, for finding me such a lovely home. If you didn't look out for me, I could have ended up in a college dorm like my brother. (That poor little guy!)

I'd like to thank God for creating such a wonderful world where websites like Dogster can exist.

But most of all...

I'd like to thank my adopted mommy Leigh, for being such an insane Dogster addict! I would be nothing without her affliction. Mommy, you're the best! Don't listen to Daddy. Keep up the good fight!

You like me! You really like me!!!!!!!!

Why Can't I Come, Too?

I'm very upset today! I hate feeling like a caged animal in this kitchen! I AM NOT AN ANIMAL!!!!!! OK, maybe I am an animal, but I hate being trapped in this kitchen all day long! Normally, I can hold out until Friday before I start getting frustrated, but it's only Wednesday and I'm already there! Mommy got up this morning and fed me and spent a little time with me and then SHE LEFT ME AGAIN! She does this to me every day and I really wish she'd cut it out! I tried barking at the baby gate and when that didn't work, I tried whimpering. I made the most pathetic sounds that I could. I think I got to both Mommy and Daddy a little. Daddy came in and played with me a little bit, but he wouldn't take that stupid gate down! Then he left me, too! UGH! I guess I'm stuck here until they come home. They better hurry! I can't take much more of this!

What a Weekend!

Boy, am I tired! I had a lot of excitement this weekend and now I'm one pooped puppy! Saturday night, we went by my Aunt Rena's house for a BBQ. She lives in a real house with a back yard, not a condo like Mommy and Daddy. I wish I had a back yard! It was so much fun! I got to run around like crazy in the open air without a leash for hours!!!! Aunt Rena also has lots of plants around her home as well as a little daschound named Bella. Bella is a little too old and slow for me, but I like to give her a sniff once in a while. It's nice having her around though, because she leaves interesting smells in the back yard for me to check out.

Needless to say, it was a really big day for me. I got to have a lot of back yard fun AND I got an endless amount of attention from everybody there. Everyone thinks that I'm so cute and fun. Can you blame them? Look at me! Really!

Then on Sunday, as if the night before wasn't enough, I went to my first pug meet up! Boy, was that fun! There were about 15 little guys just like me! We all ran around and sniffed each other. I got a really warm welcome from Nina, the organizer's pug. I also got to see my friends Milo and Frankie again and meet their big brother, Charlie. That Charlie is one big boy! He's a sweetie though. There were so many nice pugs there though. I didn't catch all of their names. We stayed for about an hour and then it was time to get back in the car and go home.

I still haven't recovered from all of the excitement! I couldn't even properly greet Mommy this morning when she came in the kitchen to feed me. Mommy said that I was falling asleep sitting up. I almost tipped over! She said that it looked adorable and then gave me special kisses just for being a good boy. I told her that I'd always be a good boy if she would just let me get out more. She said that she's working on it. We'll see...
