Arrival Story:
I have wanted a dog for as long as I can remember. After many years of wanting a dog, my parents finally agreed to getting one. I researched on dog breeds and found that a Shetland Sheepdog would be the best dog for us. So we set out and searched every shelter in the area and checked with every ad in the paper but no luck. We wanted a Sheltie so we knew what to expect from a dog (especially since it was our first) and we didn't have enough space for a larger dog. So as a last resort we called a local breeder and made plans to visit her next litter. It was a tough choice between the two males (the breeder planned on keeping the female) and when she asked us which dog we'd like Mickey stuck his tongue out at us. It was so sweet and convinced us so on December 14 2002 we brought our little angel home.

Mickey is everything that I wanted in a dog and more. I am so happy and feel so lucky to have him with me. He makes me happy and has taught me so much. I never thought I could ever love an animal but Mickey proved me wrong. And I couldn't be happier.
