We went to the shelter to "look", and after seeing lots and lots of really nice dogs, we spotted Soph, looking scared at the back of her kennel. But, her eyes met mine, and she started wagging, and that was it. She had come in the previous day as a stray, so we had to wait ten days for the adoption to go through. We called every day to see if she was still there. The day we finally went to bring her home, we were told that she had heartworm. We were totally in love with her at that point, so we opted to have her treated. She had so many larvae in her bloodstream that the treatment almost killed her, but she pulled through and we have now had her for over three years.
Bio:
Sophie is really insecure around other dogs, so she doesn't have many doggie friends. Just her current boyfriend, Rex the Springer Spaniel. She LOVES people though, and is an excellent judge of character.
