I think about you everyday ChiChi, missing your sweet face at the window, waiting for me to come home. The way you kissed my face before bedtime, curling up under the covers and just being the silly little girl that made me laugh. Nothings been the same since you left. How I will always miss you. Mommy loves you.

Dearest ChiChi,
How I miss you, sweet girl. We celebrated Opals birthday today, and while everyone else was gone, Opal and I sat "the window" (where you two sat everyday) and as I sang Happy Birthday to her, we talked about you and how we desperatly miss you...we knew you were watching us from the Bridge with your new friends, though. So, mingled with our sorrowful tears, tears of happy memories fell along with them, but how we awake everyday wishing you were still here with us.
To the Best Girl anyone could ever want, the sweetest girl any mommy and daddy ever had and the most wonderful sister of Opal. We love you with all our hearts. Until we see you again...keep running full throttle in the biggest back yard ever.

Mommy and Daddy love you very much. Your death today has taken the breath away from us and nothing is normal, nothing is right...and how we wish this day could start over so you could still be with us.
You brought us so much joy and happiness to our lives. Your happy little face and your way of making us smile and laugh when we didn't feel like it, when we came home from work how happy you were to see us, How our hearts break knowing you won't be there to greet us. We will miss your snuggling under the covers, your way of eating one piece at a time, your playing with Opal...just everything.
We love you ChiChi. Good Lord how we miss you already.

Mom and dad got a new bed and I can jump up onto it without a chair! Poor Opal, she still needs mom or dad to help her up because her legs are to short!
Dad made us promise not to pee on it. Gee. They take all the fun out of breaking it in!
While mom was at work, dad took us to Grandma Joan's house, but she wasn't there : ( But she knew we were there because we left our toys on her couch that she keeps there for us! When we left we picked up Heidi at work, stopped at a fast food joint for a nugget treat then went home to wait for mom!
We helped dad fold clothes, put up the curtain rods and test the new toaster.
Yesterday, Opal squeaked out the back door, but dad caught her. She doesn't listen very well when he tells her to stop. So he held her while he was talking to Jim next door. Mom let me out to run in the back yard. And run I did! Zoom here, zipping there, I LOVE TO RUN! I listen to dad so he lets me run in our big back yard!

I was resting peacfully on dads lap, enjoying my rule as top dog, basking in the limelight of cuteness when my life was shattered. Mom pulled into the driveway after a day at Mikes house ( he is Heidi's boyfriend, who has ALOT of dogs! ) I jumped to the window, anxiously awaiting a treat when I saw in her arms this pipsqeak of a dog. She came to the window to show her to me and boy oh boy, I just went to my room and put my head in my blanket. When she got in the house, mom gave dad this little furball and he was saying how small and cute she was. Mom came and got me and told me that this was Opal and that I had to be nice to her because she was so small and that she couldn't see and we had to help her. I didn't want to.
Well, as time went by Opal and I became good friends. I found that I didn't mind sharing my toys, showing her where the water dish was and how to get dad to let us both sleep on his lap. Mom took Opal to MY vet and he did tests on her eyes and he told us that she did have a problem with her eye's but she got better and we run around the house together, chewing on socks and slippers, we lay at the window together and bark at other dogs and squirrels and the neighbors cats. We disagree on who gets to lay next to dad with his blanket that heats up at night, but we end up sharing, and we get a good nights sleep. Opal is now my best friend/sister and I am glad she came to live with us. Mom and dad still give me first dibs on new chew toys because I am older, but I share anyway.
