Arrival Story: These little pupster are the result of what happens when owners don't spay/neuter their dogs then can't afford to "fix" the puppies, then adopt out puppies that are not fixed. Luckily for us, the humans turned over the puppies to a rescue when they could not sell anymore (www.saints-ca.org)

Bio: Gabby, Justice, and Poe entered our home on January 15 at 11 weeks of age. We do not know how the pups will grow and evolve as they grow into adulthood. Right now they are all very much on the submissive side (but they have only been here for a day). They are very uncomfortable with a collar and a leash so we will have to be very slow in introducing the collar and leash to them. It did not take them long to run up and jump, lick and cavort with us but they are still very hesitant when we pick them up. In fact all 3 seem to withdraw into themselves so we are learning to touch them only when we are sitting on the floor. We will be using treats when they are sitting in our arms so they learn all good things come from people. The 2 females are paper trained and the male is not. We hope to be able to work on making all three house trained. Wish us luck. All three are healthy chewers but, right now, that seems to be their worst trait. They are the quietest little pups I have ever met. Their bite inhibition is excellent and they do not cry very much. The prefer sharing a dinner bowl and water bowl rather than eating and drinking seperate. Somehow they work it out so that each one gets his fair share. The pups are scheduled for a spay or neuter, 1st shots, tattoos and deworming on January 18th.
Poe is the big strong male of the three. He is the most demanding and was the first to come sit in our laps. He also is the most dependent. When all three were busy in play I snuck out of the room and peeked in. The two females continued to play and poor Poe sat down and stared and at the door. Poe seems to be almost all white but I don't know if that will change as he gets older.
Gabby, for want of a better description, is the most confident of the 3 pups. She was the first to venture out into the backyard and the first to venture into a new room. She has just a slight bit of tan markings on her back but is mostly white.
Justice is the shyest of the 3 dogs. She is also the only one who waited to relieve herself outside this morning. I was most impressed. She is the one that is the last to venture outside and is the last to go into a new room. I notice she is also the last one to get her head into the water bowl. She was also the most frightened when I would touch her. She has more of soft brown hair on her head and especially her back
All 3 pupsters found great homes.
