Likes:
I like to run. Anywhere, anytime, thru the woods, thru the house.I like to run. I like to burrow under mommy's nice clean sheets on the bed and throw pillows everywhere. I like to dig up the yard. It makes daddee jump up and down and make funny noises.

Pet-Peeves:
I am a sensitive pup. My feelings get hurt very easily. If you look at me wrong or raise your voice I will plaster my ears to the side of my huge block head and look at you with the saddest eyes possible.

Favorite Toy:
I still love my very first squeaky toys, even the ones that don't squeak anymore. I love to play tug of war with my brother Oliver. And I love to nip daddee's knees when we run together. It makes him run even worse than he usually does.

Favorite Food:
I'm not a big dog food fan but cat food is alright. Mom and dad give me more treats than they should. Since we moved to the woods I started snacking on some of our smaller neighbours which makes mommee go "eech!"and call ce "cadaver breath."

Favorite Walk:
Wherever my dad and big brother go. Over the hill behind our house and thru the woods to visit my farm dog friends. Splashing in the James River is fun. And when it's not too hot we go to a place called Greenfields where I can run like the wind.

Best Tricks:
Unmaking the bed.

Arrival Story:
I was born on the east side of New Orleans just before this big storm named Katrina made my humans go away and leave my mom and me behind. I lived with my mom and any brothers and sisters I had (I really don't remember them) under a human house until some new humans I had never seen before came along and caught us and put me in a little plastic house with bars on the door. It was very scary because this plastic house moved for a long time but when they took me out of the plastic place I was in the country and there were dogs everywhere . The humans that were there took very good care of me and I had plenty to eat and drink every day and I even got to play with other puppies. After I had been there 21 weeks (3 human weeks) this nice human who had been feeding me and taking me to play told me he was taking me home. I was scared at first because I didn't want to have to live under a house again but the human told me he would be my new dad and that I would have a new mommee too and that we would all live in the house and not under it. I came to my new home on New Years Eve and found out there was a big dog there who is now my big brother and my best dog friend Oliver. There are also 3 cats and a bird. I am a very lucky pup. Now it is 2 years later. I have grown up to be a loving, happy, goofy giant of a dog. Mommee says that I am a clown and that I am a gentle soul. This year we moved away from the place daddee called Florida to this new place called Virginia. We live out in the country with woods all around us and our neighbours have the biggest, ugliest dogs you have ever seen. They call them "horses". I've been in trouble a few times since we moved here because I like to chase things in the woods. Daddee won't let me out unless it's in a dog run or on this long long line he calls a zip line. It goes 150 feet from one corner of the yard to the other. Sometimes I run so fast I pull it out of the tree and go running off after deer. That's when daddee makes all sorts of funny sounds and runs after me (dad runs REAL slow and when he does he puffs alot). So I run a big circle around him and let him catch me and if he seems like he's mad I put on my sensitive hurt puppy face. It gets him every time. I'm a lucky dog.

Bio:
Spencer is our clown. He has grown into 80 lbs of happy, goofy dog. He still loves playing with his very first squeaky toys. As he matured we saw more and more Akita traits but he still has the energy of a border collie. Spencer has a new life now, living on 3 acres in the beautiful Virginia countrtyside. He is kept on a zip line or in a run whenever he is out because his prey drive is so strong - just seeing a squirrel he will run for 20 minutes. He loves the water and looks forward to his weekly dip in the James River. Spencer is a loving, gentle soul but very protective of his family and remains best friends with older brother Oliver.
