Arrival Story:
I had a Boston terrier named Ernie (see green-hued photo: that's Ernie close to the camera and Starlet in the driver's seat--of course), and Starlet lived down the street with her owner, Nick. I saw him walking her one day and asked him if he'd like her to spend the day with Ernie and me (I worked at home). She began to spend just about every day with us. Nick was beginning to work many long hours, and in a tearful phone call one day, he asked that I adopt her, which I happily did. One month later, my Ernie was gone from a brain tumor, and having Starlet helped to ease the blow.

Bio:
Starlet likes to sleep in her soft doggy bed, and sometimes she snores like a freight train, but when you tell her that after she awakens, she denies it--she is a lady, afterall. She likes to sit in front of the space heater in the bathroom while her Mom gets ready for work and then she becomes "Baked Starlet." She wins the Academy Award for best drama performance every time Mom leaves for work in the morning, but we realize that she truly isn't acting at all. She wiggles her cute fanny just like a little tart when she's happy, because she is very much a girl. She is tremendously loyal to me and is happiest just being by my side, as I am with her there.
