Arrival Story:
She came to us as a stray puppy in 1982 but we had Bear and didn't want anymore dogs so the neighbor was asked if he wanted her and he took her. Well, I knew she would be squashed on the road so I begged Mom and Dad to let me keep her and they finally gave in and I went over and asked for her back. That day, Mom was cooking chicken and plucked the meat off and gave the leftovers to Bear and the rest to Buttons. Buttons was a skinny dog but after that chicken feast she looked like a pot bellied pig. Buttons died in 1993 of a sickness that I believe was heartworms but it was too late to do anything for her. I now know what they go through and I make sure that Lady is treated just incase she has those symtoms. That ol' girl would have been 11 years old in 2 months.

Not much to tell but she was a kind dog to all she knew. She loved to go walking on the hilltop and see the cows. I would ask her if she wanted to go and see "roundsteaks" and she was eager to go.
