Being spoiled rotten, jumping on the bed and hogging it up, her Aunt Kathy's lap, was one helluva mouse catcher and loved to go bye-bye in the car.
Pet-Peeves:
CATS!, the gas delivery man, anyone that she didn't know, loud noises and most of all was bath time.
Favorite Toy:
A plastic finger puppet toy called Barney(Rubble). She loved to flip him in the air and catch him.
Favorite Food:
Canned tuna fish, meat scraps of all kinds, rawhide bones and chestnuts (boiled) and trust me it wasn't a treat to have her jump in bed with you after eating those!
Favorite Walk:
On the property.
Arrival Story:
In 1978 we kept her after a family member brought her over and asked if we wanted her. She would have been destroyed or worse if we had not said "yes" in keeping her.
In 1991, we had to put Bear to sleep due to having a cancer growth on the bottom of her rear end. She will always be loved and missed.
Bio:
There's not much to tell except she was a real ham. She knew how to get your attention and you listened. Here is a story that happened one time. My Mom had fixed Bear some eggs for breakfast but she was picky and didn't eat them. So later on @ night she decided to go eat those eggs. About 12 to 1 o'clock in the morning I heard my Dad, adjacent from my room, yelling that there was egg on his pillow, boy was he mad. Then I found the same thing in my bed on my pillow and wasn't real happy either. Needless to say, Bear didn't get to eat no more mid-night snacks in bed.
Bath time was another fun event. It was hard enough trying to get her in without her biting you but when she got out was another. That dog sounded like a charged rocket running all over the house and was ticked off because she had to take a bath.
