He is from Mindy's last litter. We weren't going to keep him at first but he attached himself to me and of course, I fell for him. I love his independent nature, the way he loves to be with me, usually sleeping on my lap while I am on the computer, and the way he sasses back at you when you scold him. I just can't stay mad at him. He is too comical. Patch is a mini black and tan dapple dachshund.
Had to find a new home for Patch when I first moved down here. He is now well loved by a new family and the little girl adores him. I still miss you Patch Man.

Today is really hot! Even the fans don't help much. I try to stay cool the best way I can. Don't even want to be outside too long. So I sleep a lot right now. And oh boy! Did we let Daddy know we missed him! I was so excited to see him. Couldn't stop barking til he sat down and let me kiss his whole face! Then we could all finally settle down again. I've been sitting with him a lot since he got back. Just to let him know I missed him.

Daddy has been gone too many days now. We are all waiting for him to come home. I know I get too excited and bark too loud but I love him so and have to let it out. I'm workin' on it. Mommy laughs at me...cause when Daddy scolds me...I grumble at him. It's not a bark...it's really a grumble, grumble, grumble. Mommy says I'm like a kid that mumbles under his breath...whatever that means. I just know that I have to express my feelings.
Gotta run...I think Pip wants to play and I love playing with him! We run all around the house or wrestle on the bed! Such fun!!

Oh sure! Just when I get the chance to really play with them they start leaving. I will miss them...but it will be quieter mommy says now that they go to new homes. But they were fun and I was a good Daddy mom says.
